I need help for the Internet connection. Please enough.<>

I just brought an IdeaPad S10 4333-XF7 today and I'm trying to do to connect to the Internet for about two hours. I have not installed ReadyCOmm, and I already tried updating the driver (the system insists I have already the last being there).

The wireless network connection does not detect networks wireless in range (but I have this laptop sitting right next to this connection very well). I have disabled the firewall. I don't see a Broadcom Gigabit Integrated Controller and a Broadcom WLAN in the programs list in the control panel but I can't find on the start menu to open.

I also tried to move the netbook in the room with the router, but that did nothing.

Also, I continue to find references to a switch of some sort, but I can't identify it.

The machine did not come any documentation but I was looking around on lenovo.com...

Am I missing something? I feel that I am. Probably something very obvious. This is my first new machine for several years and I'm more than a bit more technologically rusty.

    Make sure that this router have no firewall or filtered mac address running...

    try to reset the router and plug in wired LAN...

    don't forget to turn on wireless, the S10-3 is on the side of the right screen key near the hinge...

    IP Address: 169.254.15.3 wrong - should be 192.168.xxx.xxx in this range

    Subnet mask: 255.255.0.0 - wrongly - must be 255.255.255.0

    Hi from Spain,

    I just got my Camileo S10 purchased from an online retailer.
    I chose the S10 because everywhere on the web, nobody said that it records. Files MOV, which is perfect for me because I'm ready to modify the records on my Mac with iMovie.

    First test: I have recorded a few clips on SD card and memory of the internet and watch them on my TV. High quality, nothing to say so far.
    I have then connect the S10 to my Mac using the USB cable and discover that all the files are. AVI and not. MOV, as all the world seems to have.

    It plays fine with VLC, but iMovie does not recognize one of these files.
    I don't want to convert AVI to MOV, because it is a gift for my wife and she wants something simple.

    Are you sure it s a .avi format?

    I downloaded the manual for this camcorder S10 and the page 42 says that the camcorder support these file formats:
    Photo: JPG
    * Movie: MOV *.

    It seems that the MOV format is supported
    Maybe you should check all the settings!

    What do you mean by "does not?

    You can enter at least hibernation?
    Pick up from the hibernation failure?
    Hibernation is missing in power options?
    Are you running XP or Vista?
    What Service Pack you have installed?
    Did you install your own version of Windows or is - what a correct installation of Windows from Toshiba?

  • s S10-3 wlan driver problem

    Hello, my problem is that I can't use WiFi on my netbook: s10-3s (model '0703'). I formatted the hard drive and install windows7 32 bit (before is was the same, but the starter edition). Usually everything works like magic with win7, but not with the hardware of this netbook. Graphicschip, Ethernet and WirelessLan did not work after the new installation of windows. I went on site support lenovo and downloaded all the drivers in the sections for material that did not work properly. This fixed my problem with the intel graphicschip and the ethernet controller, so I could connect to the internet via my router lan cable. After downloaded and installed all the drivers wlan 4 listed for my model, it was still not working. I have no more unknown device in Device Manager, but I does not recognize wlan networks, so I doubt that any driver worked. I read that the netbook can have one of these chips-WiFi: atheros, broadcom and intel. My netbook seems to have a broadcom one (it says "Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter" in the properties of the adapter). the switch wlan on my netbook is turned on and the led is lit thanks in advance

    I solved the problem by installing the power management driver...

    the feature of the fn + f5 was not installed at all. After installing the driver I could turn on wlan with fn + f5 and it worked.

    I really hope you can help me with some problems I encounter when using the S10.

    The problems encountered are:

    (1) recently the lappy will hang aftr start windows, the mouse doesn't even pressing Cnrt Alt Delete. I'll need to force the closure of the lappy...

    (2) but the lappy works well when there is no internet connection, I suspect that the lappy hung while auto connect to available network connection.

    (3) I have also crossed the system event log and there are errors in the search for a DHCP, DCOM service and ipod.  m going to uninstall Itunes because I heard that itunes will crash the system (is this true?).

    It will be much appreciated if you could help me because I think that this is not a very big problem to send it for repair...

    If Windows hangs or strange behavior, I usually work in the following order:

    1 let Windows check disk (chkdsk) and fix the errors, if any.

    2 be sure that Windows is updated.

    2. let an online virus scanner to check everything.

    If this does not resolve the problem:

    4. save the files important network or external drive.

    5. restoration of the computer of the last reliable recognized Acronis image backup.

    Maybe it's time to save important files and do a factory restore of Windows?

    iTunes and QuickTime is putting a lot of load on any little netbook, especially if you have a large music library and sync podcasts and videos - install only if you need it, just like any other app. iTunes worked flawlessly when I tested a few months before.

    I use t-mobile 3g chip sims. works very well with quick start when I switch to windows 7, the connection with the drops of the internet.

    This chip works with windows 7, I tried to use vpn it recognizes vpn but need internet connection to connect. It seems to me that the web connect manager works with quick start. The only thing that windows 7 is looking for is a virtual private network. I can connect with wi - fi on quick start and windows 7.

    My employer uses a local wireless network with Cisco PEAP authentication, and sometimes I use my Lenovo ideapad S10-2 in the office.

    XP driver had no problem with it, I used it for awhile. Recently, I have upgraded the computer to Windows 7 32 bit and realized that the Wireless LAN driver from the Lenovo Web site offers NO of Cisco PEAP option-> FAIL.

    After some research, I found the latest driver for the Broadcom chipset (4315?) which is the 5.100.249.2 version. This driver works fine now and I can connect to the WLAN again.

    Questions: Why is the driver so old-fashioned Lenovo Web site? Why the Lenovo nor Broadcom offers this driver on its website? Is it really necessary to launch investigations into the internet to find the latest driver?

    However, the problem is solved, but I thought I share this information. I don't think I'm the only person who connects to a WLAN using Cisco PEAP authentication.

  • Problems start S10 - 3T

    Last December, I received a Lenovo S10 - 3T for Christmas, I was hoping to use for my University. After installation of great need for pilots in the last months, I finally got to make it work in the way that I like.

    I used it for Office, Internet and Outlook stuff only, it's really a working PC, got a desktop computer for the home games.

    Anyway, one day, my netbook didn't start up. The power was plugged and the led showed it was plugged. But I could not start it (screen remains black after pressing the power button, nothing at all).

    So, I fell on the "come out battery, keep pressed power button for 30-40 seconds, put the battery"-thing. That has actually worked and I have no problem (it was a month ago).

    Today, the same thing happened to me again. But this time, the power thing has not worked. I could take out the battery of hundreds of times and hold down the button for hours, but nothing happened.

    My basic question is: is my netbook * bleep * ed and can I get a refund, or is it just a minor malfunction?

    I got my new s10 - 3T and the feeling that there are some problems with the installation of Windows 7 and/or driver.     If you have external dvd rom, I suggest you to burn backup default factory, just in case.

    There is a hidden partition for files.it system & recovery preferable not to because if you see a hidden Windows partition, one key pick up stops.

    I had a customer with the same problem yesterday. The solution is to start in safe mode, and then use windows system restore to recover to an earlier point. Thank God windows creates a restore point before installing updates, by choosing the point of restoration before the last batch of updates worked.

    Not quite the same thing as I'm not trying to access remotely, but since the upgrade to Sierra, my iMac mid-2010 do not reconnect to the wifi in the morning.  It is not slow, it will not reconnect all until I explicitly select the network.  I don't have this problem before the Sierra, and it doesn't seem to affect my Air mid-2012 (also on the Sierra).
