Download drivers XP, check the installation instructions document and follow the guidelines.

PS; I recommend you to install XP on the second partition. In this case, you can use the two BONES; Vista and XP.

I found on the toshiba support site only Conexant drivers that are not good.

Someone knows, where can I find different drivers?

    Hello

Conexant audio driver on the European driver of Toshiba page is good.
You must choose this driver v 3.80.0.0.

But note; It is very important that you should install SP3 BEFORE install you the audio driver.

There are some other threads in this forum about it, and the driver is ok.

  • Drivers for HP Pavilion Entertainment PC running Vista Home Premium, downgrade to XP Pro

I have a laptop HP Pavilion Entertainment PC running Vista Home Premium. Want to downgrade to XP Pro and have an OEM drive to do. Can someone help me find the drivers to complete this process?
    Thank you!

    http://welcome.HP.com/country/us/en/support.html

Look at the link above of HP XP drivers.

If the XP drivers are not available for your model, forget the idea.

If Yes, download and save to a CD or Flash drive.

Save all your data because it will be lost during the installation of XP.

Then follow the steps below to do a clean install.

    http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windowsxp_sg_clean.asp

Once installed, reload ALL your other programs of original media, or download again.

Reload all drivers and utilities for your motherboard.

  • Devices Satellite Pro L300D-110 - downgrading to XP Pro - HARD drive missing?

Hello to everyone in the Toshibe Satellite Pro - my first post forum.

I was one proud owner of other portable Tosh without any problem, but this time, I'm miserable: (o)

For professional use a few days ago, we bought a laptop Satellite Pro L300D 110 (AMD Athlon Dual Core). We bought it with the understanding that it could be brought back to XP Pro - mainly because some of the software that we use on a daily basis does not work reliably on Vista, but also because all other laptops to desktop computers in our network (including a WLAN) all running XP Pro, adding another machine that it should have been easy.

The need to do so has been confirmed by the fact, nevertheless, I tried, we could just not get the new Toshiba L300D connection through our routers so that under Vista. At the same time, we also bought a new Dell with no o/s. I installed a new copy of XP Pro SP2 OEM - and it runs under the sweet as a nut! Sorry, I digress:

I reduced the L300D to XP Pro very well using the XP Pro provided - Toshiba Recovery disk no problem at all. I had the computer connected to the network too, but then I realized that the DVD (Pioneer DVD - RW DVRTD08A ATA) is not found by Windows.

Logged in the BIOS setup - Yes, he was listed there OK, but tried some tongs and tricks I have learned over the years, I still couldn't XP Pro to the discovery of the device.

I have now reinstalled Vista on the machine and he found the DVD burner.

If it's a PC, I shut down the computer, open the case, disconnect the writer, start, stop, reconnect the device, close case and bingo. But not with perhaps a laptop...

Someone has ideas how (reliable!) downgrade to XP Pro without devices being endangered? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have two copies again more XP Pro SP2 at my disposal, if that's any use.

    Kind regards

    David

    (> I'm happy again now: o)
    Great to hear that!

    Just for info:
The most recent series of portable supports the newer SATA HDD controllers and so the operating system can be installed if the SATA drivers are not included and preinstalled.

So if you want to use the SATA features you must first install the SATA driver.
But you can also activate SATA mode to compatibility mode (in BIOS) and this would install the Win XP without the necessary SATA drivers.

    Good bye

  • Upgrade to Vista Business downgraded to XP 7

I recently bought a laptop HP Compaq 8710w comes with Vista Business downgraded to XP Professional. I ordered my upgrade kit, as I understand it will take to do me a clean install. My question is, I will receive a copy at retail of Windows 7, which also includes good 32-bit and 64-bit, or will I receive only the 32-bit version? If I get only the 32-bit version, it will be specific to my serial number or I'll be able to get on ebay and trade it for a 64-bit version?

It seems almost right that I have to do a clean install anything, I should be locked in the 32-bit version. As long as I do a clean install, it seems that I should be able to upgrade to 64-bit.

    Thank you

    Tyler

I think that you will have 32 bits by default, you can usually contact Microsoft directly and they will send 64-bit as long as you have a valid product key.

  • Can I downgrade my Satellite Pro P200 for Windows XP?

    Hello

I bought my Satellite Pro P200 (PSPB7E) a week ago and I love it. I have an unused XP license, so I would like to downgrade.

Is this problem? I don't see xp for a Chicony webcam drivers or the HD-DVD player.
I'd really appreciate some feedback. There must be someone out there who has tried to do.

    Thank you in advance!

    Hello

Of course you can downgrade the satellite Pro P200 for Windows XP.

When installing XP, you need to install the Intel Storage Manager. It is a SATA driver that is needed to activate the HARD disk.

    Regarding the webcam driver.
I checked the page European driver of Toshiba and the Chicony webcam driver is certainly available.

The HD DVD driver is not necessary because the Windows XP must use an own ODD driver.

    See you soon

  • Unknown device on X 300 after downgrading to XP Pro

Device Manager indicates an unknown device, possible identifying information is the Device Id of Instance = ROOT\MS_PSCHEDMP\0000. After the downgrade to XP Pro, I have updated all the drivers and the software by using the system update, but the unknown device is still showing. I have not yet tested Wi - Fi, but I think that everything else works fine. Everyone get this problem?

Problem solved (I think), after unknown peripheral uninstall and re-analysis of a new material, it no longer appears.

  • Vista SP1 upgrade to XP Pro SP3 or SP2 Business?

I have a Dell T3400 workstation comes with a Vista Business OEM COA product key, however, this PC has worked with XP Pro SP3 using detail settled. It is time to migrate to Windows 7, however, there is no direct way to "upgrade" from XP to Windows 7, except a clean install.

My plan is initially upgrade Vista Business OS and then upgrade to Windows 7 Pro. This should be doable by the version upgrade paths available for each operating system. Of this plan, I did a 'test' upgrade to Vista SP1, and it seems to have worked OK (after application for new drivers various and other software upgrades).

Windows activated and ran OK with this process, but subsequently he reported several pieces of software not compatible with Vista - no surprise. However, I could uninstall is no longer that slot software Vista as it seems to have too writes the necessary special uninstall files. I've returned to XP from a ghost image and will have a second run at it with some XP more pre working on ready for the upgrade.

My main question: should I remove the patch SP3 of XP to upgrade it to SP2 before applying the Vista SP1? Any other consideration? I read in some other forums of Vista upgrades becomes flaky or non-fonctionnel because they were created before the release of XP SP3 and don't seem too well to manage the later version.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

I think it will be a case of trial and error. Since you have Ghost to restore XP you can uninstall all apps that play well with Vista and do the upgrade to Vista.  Just make sure that the device drivers for Windows 7 are.
