  s430 Lenovo uses an adapter special bay, the one you listed is for the classic model of ThinkPads.

  Lenovo do not sell Bay adapter separately.

  I use it at home especially if its plugged into the ac all the time.

  I wonder if I could disable the battery so it will not load 24/7. don't really want as it will kill the battery.

  is not possible, unless you physically disconnect the battery. As with the Lenovo Thinkvantage battery charger, you can set the load speed, while the battery is not all the time even if you are connected to the AC (the main advantage of the Lenovo ThinkPad machine).

  Today I received my s430 again. I sent to repair service last Monday, because my backlight was broken. (TOPIC)

  Now, I have this problem (PICTURE). First line of the LCD screen is displayed correctly. The following lines are moved two pixels to the right.

  

  I uninstalled NVIDIA and Intel display drivers. Pixels are displayed correctly with Windows 7 standard drivers at 1600 x 900 and on small resolutions. In the BIOS and startup, everything is fine, too.

  Any suggestions? I installed current drivers which I found on the lenovo support page. After resettlement, the problem is back.

  I have a Lenovo S430 edge for 2 years.

  This problem is a common problem on this PC, and there are two possible solutions.

  One is to uninstall the energy Manager. I did and it works, but then you can't control a large number of interesting parameters of your PC.

  The other, I found for 1 week and it consists to disable an option in Device Manager.

  Find the "Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller' under 'network card'.

  Under the option for energy, you can find the second option enabled. You must disable.

  After that, I tried to leave my pc off overnight and now the battery lose charge no more.

  It is best to also check the list under network card and disable the option even for other devices, too.

  I've updated to Firefox 4.01 today and the Center knob on my Lenovo T400 does more. I downloaded the updated Ultranav utility and the Ultranav driver for my T400 by http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-72858.html , then uninstalled the 'Thinkpad Ultranav Driver' to add/remove programs, rebooted and then installed the update utility and driver (another reboot) and now it works perfectly.
