S5-1110 USB 3.0 Installation of the card

I have to add a USB 3.0 to the slimline cases.  There are 3 PCIe 1 x slots.  However, it should be compact and entitled to it.  Can what cards I use? How do we get power it with the custom PS he uses?

Isn't a non-motorized card and options.

Thank you.

Hello

This HP USB 3.0 PCI-E cardshould work. It is a low profile card that requires a power supply for your specific needs.

In order to use a SATA Y splitter and tap into the SATA optical drive power cable.  Review HP posted information that will tell you where to tap into the optical drive, SATA power port.

This driver should work.

  • Portege R100 - question about the installation of the USB port and Windows problems

    Hello

I just bought a used Portege R100, but I have some problems. Of course the laptop isn't a CD or DVD, player so I tried an external DVD drive, but it did not work. What kind of device I have to install Windows (not an edition of recovery or anything like that, but a whole new windows on the formatted HARD drive)?

I also have another problem: whenever I plug a USB device (I tried the DVD drive external and a USB keyboard) when I start the laptop, it seems to hang. At least, I am not able to type anything more; the keyboard of the laptop is dead (the point where the entrance would still be flashing in the BACK platform, but typing. sth on the keyboard isn't doing anything). It is not normal, is it?

I also tried to get to the BIOS, but I tried various commands (F1 to F12, DEL etc.), but I couldn't access the BIOS. It would be great if someone could tell me the command for it.

Thanks in advance for the help and sorry for the bad English, I'm not a native speaker :)

    Hi @Horacio_B,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your installation problem.

I understand that you try to use an all-in-one printer HP Deskjet 1510 with a PC that has been upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 but does not complete the installation of the USB and the HP Solution Center is not available. I would like to help.

I would like to start by disconnecting the USB cable and uninstall all software related to printers. Here is a support document which can be used if necessary reference - uninstalling the software of the printer (Windows).

Once it's over try to use the HP printer installation wizard for installation. This tool will get the software and installation help.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

  • Installation of the minimum runtime for the program using the driver USB of NI-VISA personal

I have a LabVIEW 2009 application that uses a driver for a USB device, created using the wizard of the Driver NI-VISA.  What my minimum installation of runtime needed to understand when I move it on a non-development machine?

On my dev machine, I went to MAX and given my new camera USB one alias of VISA.  I think I'll meet trouble if my deployment includes no MAX on TIME machine.

Right now, I guess the minimum is LabVIEW 2009 DURATION, NOR-DAQmx Configuration (including MAX) execution, duration of NI-VISA.

If not, is there a method that avoids having to configure an alias altogether?  It would be nice to not not need NOR-DAQmx, I use not any material that my USB device with driver custom.

    Thank you!

Not sure why you consider same installation DAQmx. You can install just MAX, the VISA duration and your harware MAX configuration. The installerallows of LabVIEW allows you to export the configuration, and then you select the option to import on the deployment computer. You will also need to include the installation of the inf file you created with the wizard.

  • Best installation of the USB driver of practices for non-persistent clones

    Hello

are there best practices using non-persistent clones and USB driver?

Client A connects to a linked clone and connects a drive USB flash or something else.

The installation of the driver is horrible slow on Windows 7:

    • New device found...
    • looking for a driver in driverstore...
    • installing the driver software...

Tested now and it took more than 8mins.

After installation, the appliance is ready and can be used. But after disconnecting from the desktop computer updates and each driver installation must be run again at the next connection. We have disabled the Windows updates and specified do not search Windows Update for device driver locations. Who knows the answer to this problem?

    Hello Erjee,
you just need to install the version of the bios 1.90 or later.

For other machines with the same problem after installing SP2...
    TE2100 v1.60 or later version
SATELLITE PRO 6000 v1.60 or later version

TECRA 9000 v1.40 or later version

All audio drivers are reported as ok. The 'Geraetestatus' element is reported as ok.
But the 'Geraeteverwendung' element is not available = gray. (I'm not an English word for this).

    Hello

No, on laptops you can't physically remove the sound card
But you can try to remove (uninstall) the sound from the device manager card!

After restarting again the operating system should recognize the card even once and you could reinstall the new version (if available) of the sound driver.

  • USB drive not recognized on the A30-151 in XP

After a clean install of Windows XP Pro on a Satellite A30 151, a USB device remains in the category 'Other' (after installation of the graphics and audio drivers, modem) for which no driver seems to be available on the drivers CD. At this point, the category "USB" contains four entries, two standard "Universal Host Controllers" and two "OpenHost' controllers, with the default drivers.
I suspect that the missing device can be a USB 2.0 "PCI controller host improved USB" from another manufacturer, but Toshiba does not offer a driver for XP for it then it should be supported by the OS (?).
Any suggestions as to what can be and what drivers need?

It turns out that XP does support USB 2.0 according to the SP1, it seems a pre - SP1 version of XP Pro leads the native Windows drivers is not available. For anyone in a similar situation, it seems as if a) upgrade to SP1 or b) install the hotfix Q312370)

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Q312370_WXP_SP1_x86_ENU.exe

for the English version should throw a lot of download sites) followed by the autodetection of the native Windows drivers should do the trick. However, the following SP1 problem may come into play

in this case, the "NEC PCI to USB Enhanced Host Controller B1" driver required original can be found by searching for "USB driver" for "Windows 2000" for the Satellite A30 Toshiba driver download page.

  • Re: Satellite U400: operating system not found then the installation of the OS

I have a toshiba satellite u400 with is come with VISTA.

Because I don't like VISTA, I then installed WINDOWS XP with a multi boot.

Everything worked well. But one day I want to resize my partitions I used Paragon partition manager.
This product is required to operate only to resize my xp partition, so he asks me a start.

    And then nothing works.

I try to fix my problem with a fresh install, but it seems that the boot sector was not correct.
Then I completely format my hard disk on another computer with a USB CABLE.

When I try to install VISTA, XP or LINUX on a CD or DVD, I ask the multiboot with F12
I chose to boot from the CD/DVD built-in, but I get only "OPERATING SYSTEM NOT FOUND',

It's as if the BIOS test the HARD to FIND something specific, and it does not find.
When my PC worked correctly I could boot from the drive to dvd without problem.

I called the SUPPORT CENTER of about 10 days, but I have no answer.

So if someone could help me.

    Thank you.

    Hello

OPERATING SYSTEM NOT FOUND message appears generally if the laptop has attempted to boot from the HARD drive and didn t find the operating system.

But I put t understand why you formatted the HARD drive using the USB cable?

Please insert HARD drive in the Bay of laptops HARD drive and check if the HARD drive is recognized in the BIOS!
If the HARD drive has been recognised so I recommend you to take a disk Win XP Home and at the start of this disc.

As I m not wrong not you will need to first install the SATA drivers to recognize the HARD drive.
The fact is that the laptop supports the SATA controller and SATA drivers are needed to get the HARD drive recognized by Win XP.

Well, after you have booted from the Win XP disc you need to format the new HDD by using the NTFS file format and should then follow with the installation of the OS.

    Check it out

  • Portege 3500 - installation of the OS

The operating system on my laptop is corrupted and whenever I try to start I get the famous blue screen saying that Windows has encountered an error and stops down to avoid any data loss. I tried to connect a CD - ROM USB drive to see if I can reinstall the system Toshiba from him but the laptop does not recognize the drive. Don't know what my options are. I see a post on the installation of the local network. It has no configuration on the client, in which case, it will not work because I can't go beyond this blue screen on startup.

A final note to say that I am currently based in Spain, even if I bought the laptop in the United Kingdom. The reason for this note is to see if I'll have to send the laptop to Toshiba here of reinstalling the operating system.

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

    Concerning

    Fadel
    Do you have any suggestions?

    Hello

As far as I know, Portege 3500 can be installed with recovery DVDs using just external card PC CD/DVD or Combo drive. The way is to contact some service partners and ask them if they can do it for you.

The recovery procedure takes about 20 minutes and I think that it may not cost a lot of money.

    Good bye

  • Satellite M30-604: USB Port can not find the driver

    Hello

I keep having the same problem on my Satellite M30 604 when connecting to a USB device.
It does not really matter with this kind of device, the problem still.

Whenever I have insert the USB plug into one of the slots, my home XP keeps popping up the wizzard software.
Even with devices without drivers such as USB keys, it keeps bothering me and finally tells me that it cannot find the right driver.

If I try to install a printer, it installs the software found, but finally stops the operation because it can't find the driver (?). I don't know in what direction I should look at to solve this.

So if anyone can help me on this, I would be very grateful!
    Edwin

    Hello, Edwin

It's very strange because it is not necessary to install a USB driver and standard Microsoft USB driver should work well. I put t know if this can help, but please check this page

This fix is also part of the factory settings (recovery image on the delivered CD). By the way: your device is about three years old and it will be interesting to know since when you have this problem. Just for example: I have more Satellite 1900 with USB 1.0 and use USB keys and drive external HARD without any problem.

  • Can I create a Multiboot USB from OSX installation?

I use a Mac Pro 2012 environment; run the Mavericks.  I want to create a Multiboot USB OS X installation disc using 1. Mavericks, 2. Yosemite, 3. El Capitan.  Is it possible to download copies separate installation 1. Mavericks, 2. Yosemite, 3. El Capitan?

If and only if you have already purchased the Mavericks and Yosemite, they will be available in the Mac App Store on your page "purchases". Otherwise, they died for you because they are not available for purchase as good as new.

There is no simple solution to combine several installers on a USB key. Install Mac OS X takes and hour or two, it seems not too heavy to simply take ten seconds to move the USB key to the appropriate version, and THEN perform the installation.

Most of the users in your situation spend less than US $100 each and buy several drives external (or internal, if you have a Mac Pro Silver Tower). Then, different versions of Mac OS X can be installed on each drive, and you can pass the boot DISKS and be upward and execution of different Mac OS X within two minutes about.
