  try a hard reset:

  Remove the battery and unplug the DC power adapter.
  Press and hold the power button for more than 15 seconds.
  Plug the DC power adapter (leave the battery for now)
  Press the power button

  I have a Slimline Paviliion S5 - 1224.  No changes or additions were made to the material.  When I stop the machine, it is used to change the orange or the wide power led.  Now, the blue power light stays on and blinks after power off the power.  The light on the adapter bluetooth in the front USB port stays on, too.  After removing the USB BT adapter, the light on the adapter goes off, indicating that the power is off to this USB port.  But PC power light blue is not far away, even when it is disconnected from the wall outlet.  It's as if the machine is haunted.  I unplugged the decision-making and the left that it disconnected for more than a week, but the blue light on the front of the machine never went out and is still on, even if she wavers and seems to fade a little.  When I turned on the rear, the light back to him is normal on State 'blue '.  Power off, blue light stays on.  Disconnected from the plug, light blue stays on.  I'm afraid to leave this thing in the House and will probably trash if someone does not have a solution.  Anyone who has ever seen anything like that?  All my friends of teckie IT are puzzled and suggested I post here to see if anyone else had the same problem.  Don't bother taking repair.

  UPDATE: I removed all devices and low and behold, when I unplugged my BluRay USB drive, the lights are all on the CPU.  I restarted, close, tried to sleep and Hibernate and everything works fine now.  I guess that the BluRay player was watching somehow the CPU to turn it off.  It is a unit that is known for needing a huge amount of energy to function properly.  Naturally, the Blu - Ray player is not get reconnected to this HP PC.   Now I use with my Mac.

  My NB10T-A-102 SATELLITE has stopped working together 9 days after that its warranty (1 year) lack. Its been a great machine (so far), his dishes seen very little, it is not carried on many (just for most at home). I tried power until Sunday morning and nothings happening, no lights at the front then he seemed to want to do something (like he was pressing the last battery juice) but then nothing. I checked the power supply with a multimeter and its delivery 19v which is correct, but there is no (orange I think) led on the front of the machine. IV tried to take the battery and discharge the static electricity, but nothing seems to work.

  Any ideas? Quite disappointing if its totally given upward after a year of use of the lamp.

  If the power supply light is not illuminated when the AC is plugged, its most likely a motherboard problem.

  1 stop rotating?

  2. always powered?

  In other words, DISABLING a drive hard internal in Device Manager stops it to use the power and spinning?

  The reason I ask is the following: I want to use this second hard drive only for backup, this is why I don't want to use the power and wear when I'm not a backup, in other words, almost all the time.

  The easiest way to access the files and could be to use disk utility mount VMware virtual disk Development Kit. This allows you to mount the virtual drive - 1pc_aims_4 - 000001.vmdk in this case - to your local operating system and extract the files you need. You can even mount the virtual disk in read-only mode to ensure integrity.

  I've had my Droid for about a month, and it's been great.  Two days ago, I went to bed and plugged in my phone as usual.  Woke up and found it was 'charge', but only 50% (this is after be plugged for about six hours).  Thought that was weird, but thought it must have been a fluke/bad connection.  Went to work, and he died quickly.  Same thing happened last night (woke up with her, saying he was 'charge' but battery only at 50%), just before he died this morning (after two hours to be disconnected) I checked the distribution of power usage in system properties.  It turns out that the android system used ~ 70 power takes my phone 50% of deaths in two hours.  I used ATK to check that there are no odd programs that run, but if this were the case I guess that there are different under the graph of power system use.

  Only other issue I noticed is that the battery is almost hot recently, but not to the point of causing me a real concern.  I thought at first it is a battery fault, but after seeing the use of the android system that makes me wonder is that something else is happening.  GPS/wi-fi are both disabled, and today that I had not yet placed no matter which phone calls - was idling just in my pocket.  Thanks for your help.

  PS, I used only the charger supplied with the phone and charged off a regular surge protector.

  This icon you are talking about is the sync icon and it isn't always there so I'm sure that's what runs on your battery so fast.  No reason it should not charge 100% even with it, but stop sync your battery.  This icon must appear once a day for a few minutes at the most!  I have turned on automatic synchronization, and when I was in an area with spotty 3G, he stayed there for about an hour and my battery was wearing down more than anything else.  A short term work is to put the widget on your home screen power control (press and hold an empty space on the home screen, select widgets, select the power control), you need 4 spaces of icon in a row for that but you will see the icon synchronize one and you can click it to turn it off. I would try and see if your problems are solved.  If so, we have isolated the problem.  As long as you found good 3g service then, I would look next to all third party apps that would be playing with the synchronization process.  When you remove the battery/power down and the phone, the icon synchronize just appear immediately and stay there?

• Change the mod to avi using Power Director v7

  I was just given a HDD JVC Camcorder and power Director v7 as a gift.  I prefer to use my Adobe first 7, much better editing.  But I'm willing to use the Power of the Director to change my clips in DV - AVI.    I can go to DV. AVI so I just make individual clips or a series of clips put there time line and processed from there.  But Power Director v7 crashes whenever I try to make a video of their chronology made with audio added, titles etc.  I get no response from forum here (boy, you are so great here with your quick responses, we should give you hugs.) I expect that I cann't restore a whole video in to set first as a DV file. AVI file.  Because of the audio and titles, effects etc or just program does not work?  I like some ot their titles and stuff, I downloaded it, but I can live without it.

  I just put the mod first clips and they seem to work very well for productions, but I heard that they will be better replaced by DV - AVI.

  Maybe I should ask the question in another post... but, all my audio wma be replaced by mpeg3 or wma works very well first?

  I use CyberLink PowerDirector as an interim step to other file formats. My editing is two years (don't remember the version # and the workstation is on a big Render), so it's not the last. Everything I do is import are the various files, line them up on the Timeline with other nothinig and then export to DV - AVI. I send these files on the HARD drive. I import into PrPro and do all my editing here. I have also exported from PowerDirector to cassette miniDV via firewire on my cameras and then made the first Capture, but it is often not necessary, as the export format DV - AVI does what I want.

  As for problems with PowerDirector, I had none, but only use it as a tool in the workflow. I never really tried editing with it. Additional Audio tracks, PiP, titles, etc., are made in the first.

  I have a Toshiba Tecra A2. Hard drive 60 GB factory begins to run out, so I installed a new 160 GB drive.

  But the system will not power on with the 160GB inside.
  When I press the power button the AC light goes from green to orange and blinks short short short Long Long Long in this sequence

  If I put the original drive, it does not supply power to the top.

  Any ideas what I can do about it? I got tired of updating bios on Toshiba website, but he has not made a difference.
