S5705uk
Hello
I got the desktop S5705uk Pavilion for about 3-4 years. I connect it to the screen with either a blue card or hdmi. When I turn it on, there is either a white screen on my Acer, or he said: there is no signal or no connection or it loads only the screen saver and nothing else, IE. no icons, no office and no means to access anything whatsoever.
A computer technician told me that I need a "graphics accelerator". That was before the screen problems vacuum.
If I connect to a bigger screen of Samsung instead of Acer, it works very well. If I connect an Acer laptop, it works fine.
So I conclude there is a problem, possibly with the graphics on my S5705uk.
I had all this, a strangely similar problem about a year ago. Same thing has happened, but only a white screen on startup. Can't say how I fixed it then but I tried a lot of solutions. I remember in the end it was a HP support dialogue which helped but really I do not know and do not remember what was the solution.
Can anyone help?
Peter
Hi, DH,.
the problem disappeared, all the screens work perfectly. I think it must have been updated the driver. He must have updated online himself, then said it was 'informed '. I read it the other way around, that is to say. It was updated and always up-to-date.
Thus, a lot, thanks a lot for your help. Don't know why the thing is not to update itself like what we have updated, but it is.
I click "problem solved" but it isn't a button here. I'll see if I can find it.
