S7 391 magnatized

Hello Acer forums.

Hi ToledoOne,

They are there by design and you should notice not them other then the knife protruding from the top of your S7.

The main purpose they serve is for sensors in the body of the laptop to find out when the lid is opened or closed so that he may wake up or get into sleep/standby.

Maybe we can start a trend of people taking pictures of the funny stuff, magnatized to their S7? Seriously, attention and do not damage your system.

  • How can activate the TPM on Aspire S7-391-9886?

    Hello

How can I activate the TPM on Aspire S7-391-9886? I went into the BIOS and the option to activate it is always grayed out. I read, it was necessary to set an admin password before the option is available, but not luck. Any clue?

    Thanks in advance

    Marcelo

    Nice day

I remember gotting to activate in the following way as well as on one of the machines.

    1. go in the bios under the Security tab

2 create the user and supervisor password in the bios... Please do NOT play with the HARD drive password

    3. restart the computer and go to bios and check again

NB: If its still grayed out, it means the bios supports, BUT the physical hardware is not present. If the physical hardware allows, then you can now activate it.

    Kind regards

  • Acer S3 - 391 Windows 8 Pro Pack

I recently bought an Acer S3-391. This unit will benefit from Windows 8 Pro Pack, and, if so, what additional features I will win?

    Thank you!

I found this on the Dell web site (forum allow me to post a link). Closer, I found a clear description of what is in the Pro Win8 Upgrade Pack:

  • Aspire S3-391-604 with Win8 eligible for Win10?

I have an Acer Aspire S3-391-6046 and wonder if she is eligible for a free upgrade of Windows 10?  (i.e. was the stock Windows 8.1 installed with the PC actually win RT 8.1?) How will I know?

    Thank you

    Jim

    jlandwehr61,

The system in question is not on the list of eligible of Acer models, but this does not mean that it cannot be upgraded. What this means, is that acer will not provide support for pilot for the upgrade to Windows 10. In fact, I upgraded one of our portable S3-391 here for Windows 10 use and it works great.

  • S3-391-9606. Please help me replace the wifi/wireless module?

This S3-391-9606 is under warranty by Fry, but I don't want to be considered for an indefinite period. The last time, it took weeks.

The wifi radio is not reliable. I'm sure it's a hardware problem, because various factors made no difference. I am currently using a Realtek USB radio which works perfectly. However, Bluetooth is often puff, and I suspect that the same module that provides the wifi feature is also Bluetooth.

I really need the USB port and reliable Bluetooth, want to replace the module radio. Pouvez you help me to identify and find the right article? Special precautions?

And while in there, I will clean the cooling system.

    Thank you!

    Hello

They are the same specifications: 3 WIFI 2 X 2 AGN + BT4.0 ATHEROS WB222. They are interchangeable.

Hmmm! only $ 5! Be careful... it normally costs about 30USD.

  • Acer Aspire S7-391 Windows 8.1 Issus with touchscreen and Trackpad

Hello. I've just upgraded to 8.1 Windows, everything went well, but I realize now the touch screen is much less reactive than before, and many times I have to touch twice to make the action, something that never happened to me before with Windows 8.

    ¿Any suggestions?

Another thing is the trackpad, which for example now does not scroll with 2 fingers and other things that did before.

    Thank you

PROBLEM SOLVED WITH THE TOUCH SCREEN!

Go to the Device Manager and look at the Human Interface Devices. There will be some USB devices that end up being the touch screen. If you change the options of feed on those so they don't turn off to save power, the problem should be solved.

Please let me know how it works for you.

    I have an Acer S7 391.
