  I bought a U2713HM in may at a retailer (not directly from Dell) online and have been very well until recently, but last week I started to notice the remanence of the image after leaving, it displays a static image for 8hours words - after the execution of the LCD display, program for 20 minutes of conditioning, the problem seems to disappear.

  However, a couple of days - I had image retention once again, this time with flickering lines appearing after only an hour to show a static image. Still, 20mins of conditioning LCD seems to have corrected it. Both occasions were for different devices on different entries (first DVI, HDMI the second time). The problem seems to get worse.

  I noticed that there are similar cases in the past which have been posted on this forum. It is very annoying having to correct with the LCD conditioning program after only a short period of use. I would like to know how I can take steps to get this replaced under warranty.

  I bought this super ultrabook on February of this year and just started using it.

  There are a few problems that I am aware of I checked some of them and even asked the Acer support,.

  And if there is any chance that you have not this laptop again and planning to buy it. Buy the one with nvidia, do not ask, but just buy the nvidia card. Less troubles there.

  The first and the main problem im aware of is the persistence of image or whatever it's called.

  The second thing is freaking flashing contrast. I unchecked all points of auto contrast

  options on a intel driver and firmware but its still takes a very big bites of my nerves.

  Whenver you change a big colorful image to one another, but not so much contrast - screen changes

  the contrast itself and the eyes go BOOM like that in a few moments.

  * What cable are you using to set the video card to the monitor? I tried to use a DVI-VGA-VGA on the screen and just a DVI cable. Both have the same problem.

  * You use the Dell supplied cable? NO.
  * Press the Menu button to open the OSD (On Screen Display). The bottom of the screen should display a resolution. This resolution should match the resolution of the default monitor. Is correct.
  * You can post a video of the show? It is not necessary in this case.

  I have an iMac end of 2014 27 "5K and have noticed a few short persistence / burn on my screen. It seems to be more visible on certain origins than others.

  I would return the Apple iMac (its less than a year) or are there steps I can take to fix this myself?

• X 220 slab IPS - loving scratch?

  In general, I was very happy with my X 220 and especially with the large slab of IPS. Although there are certainly problems of image retention, the overall image quality is inrcredible for a laptop.

  However, it seems that the matte Board is incredibly scratch lying.

  Now I am extremely careful with X 220 (I am with all my other laptops)-I always use a Holster, I clean the filter regularly and of course I never let anyone touch screen (God, I hate that!).

  I cleaned the screen today, which had accumulated a lot of dust, using a screen to cleaning Microfiber cloth moistened with distilled water.

  After that the screen was dry, I discovered to my horror that he was full of scratches little - they arise under normal conditions of use, but if shed you some light on the screen you can see, and they are everywhere.

  Is this normal? I've been cleaning LCD desktop and laptop for over 10 years and I have never had a special scratch (at least of this combo).

  Yes and no. Permissions or GP can play in this trigger. Also when you configure you differential interval and place all the volumes on the same time, all volume lock in that time as a job. The partition of the RPS is relatively small and can fill. This can trigger the basis for the entire machine as all volumes are connected by the work of the interval. Often RPS do not even have a drive assigned to often most watched his letter but he too has a SVI folder and is clipped like any other drive.

  Is there a recommended way to facelift or reduce the pasted images?

• TC520: HPDM 4.7.3610.23043 - cannot deploy images... error message 1080320

  We have not deployed any image TC520 for a few months.  I tried for a few days now, and we get an error.

  Nothing has changed (as far as I can see) in the past months.

  Deposits are still there and can connect on the TEST page.

  The images are still there... and have not been changed.

  The HPDM and the client, the version numbers match...

  I can reboot/update etc customers... just imaging that is a failure

  So, fundamentally, nothing has changed.

  But when I deploy an image, I get

  I suggest that you use 4.7 SP2 or later version. From SP2, we use the PE of the DM repository instead of the local device.

  This should be able to resolve the problem that you are experiencing.

• S7-392 screens black if on battery

  If I use my Acer S7-392 with the power supply connected and turned on, then I have no problem. However, if I turn on battery so frequently (this doesn't happen every time) I use for 10 minutes and then bang! computer laptop everything dies with * warning * be it. All the work is lost, nothing recorded, no hibernation, only in black screen, no power lights.

  What the hell is happening? You will notice in the attached images that the computer power settings are set to 20 minutes (display) and to 30 minutes (computer) if running on battery power. This happens in almost exactly 10 minutes, and I am not idle when it happens, I type (for example, this message forum) when it arrives.

  I should add that I am happy to tinker in advanced system, the registry settings, BIOS, etc. to solve this problem.

  I just with high contrast images that are displayed for a long time on the stay of the screen visible to screen for minutes even after the changes to the image, it is as if the image were burning the screen, but they disappear after a few minutes.

  This happens along the border of the screen with high contrast images, I have not tested if this happens in the middle of the screen, I will soon.

  It is normal for this model. It is called retention of screen but it is not permanent and will never be. It is a technique to enhance the capacity of the contrast of the Panel... a form of excessive training if you like. Personally, I'm not a fan of that and I did not for a few years as contrast improved in native mode on the LCD panels that it should not be necessary. Anyway, the important thing to say is that yours is not defective... its part of the design of this model.

  Hi Roshan,

  You must set all three generations in the custom retention policy to preserve data for 10 minutes.

  Please find the custom in FMS UI retention policy under: management data/servers/server management / retention policy/policy current. Here, select the menu drop-down and click custom.

  Once there you should be able to select 10 minutes for each generation, then purge the data after 3 months. (see image below)

  Keep in mind that political detention is very granular and the size of your database is likely to increase. Also, when you use larger slots in the user interface, the server will have to deal with more values and will add a certain amount of overhead.

  The retention period starts as soon as the write window closes, it does not matter if the Ribbon is completed, the entry window remains the same, so band closes on that date. You can do a 'obtool lsvol-l' on tape and see when it will close and when it will expire:

  If you want a backup must be kept for exactly 14 days then your window writing + retention must equal to 14, so it could be 7 + 7. 13 + 1 is also very good, assuming that you do not send the tapes out of the library, and which will also ensure your tapes are used to their ability.

  Backup 1,2,3,4 set elements are essentially equivalent to my older backup - so under a redundancy of the 2, I can see why it is obsolete

  5 and 7 were simply command file/SPFILE AutoSave backups and the 2 most recent backups of them have since been taken (backupset parts 9 and 10)

  Q. what happens if I wanted to restore the database to the 27/09? What control and SPFILE he would use (assuming that OBSOLETE files had been removed from the FRA)?

  A BACKUP of the LIST would show the content of BackupSets and BackupPieces.
