  • Webcam is not recognized on Satellite L300

I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 32 bit. "The problem is that the webcam will now work with any software install, the same message appears saying webcam could not initialize".
I tried to install the latest drivers available on this site and had no luck in doing work.

In imaging devices under Device Manager, it's there and apparently functioning correctly. I have a Satellite L300 with an internal webcam.

    Hello

Have you also updated the BIOS? If this is not the case, do this!

By the way: it works on OS preinstalled Toshiba? Did you check that?

  • Satellite Pro A300 PSAJ1E: Touchpad not recognized using Win XP SP2

    Hi all

I just got a Satellite Pro A300 PSAJ1E, which is preloaded with Vista. It is also comes with a 'product' XP SP2 recovery CD I had to use because of some software work with Vista compatibility issues.

Unfortunately, everything works well except the Touchpad, which is not recognized by XP at all (without entries, error or not, in the Device Manager).
The "Recovery" of XP CD installed the drivers of the Alps and the Toshiba Touchpad utility (for turning on and outside), so it seems that it is supposed to work.

It is activated in the BIOS (which I have also flashed to the latest version, just in case) and is enabled in the software. I also rebuilt the laptop using the "Recovery" CD (the touchpad is not also recognized by starting on the CD "Recovery" which I guess uses WinPE).

It does not work on Vista, so it shouldn't be a hardware problem.

    Someone at - it ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Buddy

Well in your case I would recommend going to the Device Manager and remove the touchpad in the list of devices.

Then visit the European driver Toshiba page, choose your model of laptop, Win XP OS and download the driver for the Alps Electric and Synaptics touchpad.

Install both drivers, reboot the laptop and check if your touchpad will work correctly.

    Good luck

Now I ve tried all USB devices, to begin with it uninstailling everything on we / off on to just pluging it when we / off and it keeps saying be the devide was not recognized and it doesn't propperly (small box pop up bottem left of the screen)

Now Issve exchanged it once already, and he said that the unit was defective, but having exactly the same problem with two different cameras? This seems a little more bad luck for me.

If anyone can help, that´d be great.

    Hello

You have software of Regen with your HARD drive? I don't know if this can help, but check the Toshiba download page and you'll find a version for Windows XP Home edition. Maybe this will help.

  • HIS Radeon HD 4670 not recognized by Win 7

OK, now that the S6500NX is finally installed with Win 7 Home Premium 32 bit, the only remaining obsticle becomes the system to recognize the video card: a HIS Radeon HD 4670 ("Itceq" AGP 8 X 1 GB of DDR3 memory). It is compatible with DirectX 10.1. I chose ' AGP/Onboard' in the Bios. I've been messing around with different versions of the driver catalyst of 9.x, 10.x to 12.4 (later). The driver seems to be without error, but the adapter or the driver is never automatically recognized by Windows. If I go into Device Manager and "update driver" manually, then select the driver Radeon HD 4670 WDM (not mobility one!), and reboot, the Device Manager has a yellow "!" and said that it has been disabled (all versions 9.x driver to 12.4 said that). I have tested the card in my Gigabyte Triton of K8 system (under XP SP3 but not on the network) and XP sees the card very well.

Many tech sites (for example, TomsHardware.com) talk about this card and seems to be problematic for some facilities, emits some Catalyst driver, but by all accounts should be recognized by Win 7.

When the adapter has been installed initially, Win 7 assigned adapter VGA Std 'graphics '. The monitor is an old Dell M782, who did not detected, but because it's using the adapter in windows Std no refresh values appears. hdwwiz recogise the adapter and select strives in hdwwiz shows only those from Intel.

    Issues related to the:

    1. Is this a problem with Win 7 or HIS or the driver Catalyst? (or some combo)
    2. This card is even compatible with Win 7 32 bit?
    3. What is an AGP bios on A7V8X - LA motherboard problem?

    Thanks in advance,

    Thom

    People,

Not one night white, but close enough. After crossing scenarios and options, try different drivers and pieces of hardware, I found a solution. Problems with possible HDMI and its conflict with its edge (from Paul - thanks!) gave me the idea. I also found the driver AMD AGP hotfix file.

When I started this process, install Win 7 Home Premium 32-bit on a new HD in a S6500NX I did with the Creative Sound Blaster installed PCI (disabled people onboard in the bios) and the 4670 HIS HD Radeon Itceq AGP 8 X graphics card installed (AGP / enabled in embedded bios). I knew that I had to install a separate driver to get the new 4670 to work with Win 7 (from the list of compatibility with MS). I've always done the express installation. Because the card has never been recognized automatically and manually select a driver always gave place to a yellow '! ' in Device Manager, I have assumed that the existence of a conflict, but didn't know where to start. Reading the various posts here and elsewhere, brought me to believe it was a problem of cpu/bios/agp. It was not, well not quite, at least not the mobo directly.

I suspect that the conflict was with the device IRQ audio and HDMI sound IRQ, but it is also a matter of AMD AGP with the driver. Once I found the driver 12.3 hotfix (12.4 pilot btw does not work either) AMD, I decided to do a custom installation and do not check the HDMI Audio option (so it should not be installed). Now, at this point, I had taken on the Sound Blaster and always had the sound edge off, so no sound, but has not removed the Creative drivers. Rebooting the system after installation of the driver of 12.3 hotfix for the HD 4670 (without the HDMI sound) Windows 7 recognized the graphics card! The Catalyst Control Center worked, graphic refresh rate and the monitor are now available: everything worked!

Now, sound. I reinstalled the Sound Blaster card and booted up the system. It worked also. The system is now complete! Ecstatic!

I'm exhausted. I suspect that the problem is somewhere in the allocation of resources for audio devices, simply not ready to everything tear and test this theory (i.e., re-installation of the verified audio HDMI driver AMD should lead the 4670 is not recognized due to a conflict with the sound card or indeed integrated sound card). In addition, there was the problem with AMD and AGP drivers.

    I finished.

However, one thing still (somewhat) bothers me: why is there never a Compaq/HP logo at startup (no option in the bios to disable/enable) given that in all likelihood, it would take... This is the life. Maybe it has something to do with "service packs" (whatever they are - jk) and the 'care' of Compaq/HP files (could care less).

Thom has left the building - good day to all.

    Blessings to all,

    Thom

  • AGP Radeon 4670 card not recognized by Win 7 32 bit

Hi... upgrading an older machine with Win 7 and it does not see the video card.  MO is an ABIT IC7 - G.  Card has been recognized by Win XP very well.  Tried to download patches driver AGP Radeon, but they may not load.  Help appreciated because it's the second night of trying to solve this problem.  Thanks, Chris

Hi all, I want to just this recap.   I was finally able to locate the original drivers on the disc that came with the card.   All charge very well and we are running.   Thank you all for your time.  This is usually the stage more simple that is the answer, huh?  Chris

  • SANDISK Sansa Clip Zip not recognized by WIN 8

My SANDISK Sansa Clip Zip MP3 player is not recognized by my WIN 8 machine when I connect it via USB.  It works fine on my other machine WIN 8.  Technical support SANDISK told me that the MTP drivers are missing or corrupted.  How do I find, download and install these drivers from the Microsoft site?  Is it also possible to copy these out of the installation of WIN 8 disk I have?

OK, so I found that this worked for me on win. 8

1st: hit 'Windows key' 'X', then click on Device Manager.

2nd: once it go to Universal Serial Bus Controllers, find "USB Mass Storage Device".

3rd: hit search and edit the material (something like that)

4th: there are 2 categories, the first to find the driver automatically, and the second looking for your pc.

5th: click on the first then wait it should work and then it will say that it is recognized and you can sync your Media Player!

I hope this has helped! :)

  • Portege M800: webcam does not work with Win 7 64 bit - webcam driver open failed

    Hey guys

just got my companion to upgrade me for win 7 64 bit.
Now, my camera does not work. I had to reinstall the drivers (they only had vista drivers) - can anyone help?

"driver open webcam fail. Please restart camera or computer.

    See you soon

    Hello

Seems that you used the wrong webcam software/driver or is not compatible
You must use a webcam Chicony Win 7 64 bit software.

    > Now my camera does not work. I had to reinstall the drivers (they only had vista drivers) - can anyone help?
The Portégé M800 Win 7 drivers are available on the European driver Toshiba page.
You will also find the driver of Webcam Win 7 64 bit 1.7.260.0526

Please remove first the old driver, and then restart the unit clean to the BONE using CCLeaner, reboot the device again and then install Chicony webcam software.

  • Satellite P30-133 CD/DVD not recognized in Win XP

A few months ago that the CD/DVD drive disappeared from windows XP home SP2
It is visible in the list of the BIOS boot, but I'm not sure if it turns elsewhere in the bios.

The BIOS also seems to be ad slowly started upward. I have reset the BIOS to default settings and the player was available for long enough to reinstall windows. Resttting the deafault BIOS does not work every time. Everything is now on the machine is a new installation of windows and the drive is not visible. Light on the DVD/CD drive flashes on startup every time, but it will not read a bootable disc.

The disc was found in another machine and works fine. What is a BIOS problem or a motherboard problem.
I am reluctant to spend huge sums of money on this laptop, as he already had a new motherboard a couple of years.

    Any help or advice appreciated.
This isn't a problem that will be solved by the registry hack 'filter '.

Have you tried a BIOS update?

You reinstall Windows using the recovery disk? Or have you installed Street copy of XP?

Try to boot from a Bootable CD, if it does not, then the motherboard may be faulty, or the drive has intermittent problems.

  • External hard drive USB not recognized by Win XP Satellite

My Satellite S105 running Windows XP Professional SP3 works well with any external SSD.

Yet my external USB hard drive from Seagate Freeagent is visible sometimes and not others. The Seagate works very well except when it is invisible to Windows. Removing the drivers USB (re-installed by windows) does not change this. The drive is not visible in my computer or elsewhere. Dirve of Seagate Manager does not detect the drive in these moments there.

    What is the solution?

    Thank you.

I guess that other external USB devices (USB flash drive key, mouse, etc.) are working properly and don't disappear in my computer. Is this good?

This means that this issue has nothing to do with the laptop or USB ports for s laptop but with your external USB HDD.
A maybe it's some kind of problem with the USB HDD. ?:|

  • Touch TouchSmart 610 not recognized once win 8.1 upgrade

Have a 610-1030f TouchSmart.  With Win7.  Updated to Win 8.1, and everything is fine except the system now reports "no pen or touch input is not available."

Device Manager reports a HID Compliant touchscreen

There are three entries in mouse/Pointing Device - all permit.  One is the mouse, to be the touch screen and the other?  All use the same driver.

The touch screen is actually functional.  I can click and double click, but the old press/hold for menu right click does not work and I can't drag to open the charms.  (I have a touchscreen laptop running 8.1 so I know not how it is supposed to work).

The monitor is generic PnP.  I tried to install other recommended on the site of HP with no result.  I installed the drivers of Elo, but the configuration screen says no detected Elo monitor.

I found the TabletInputService did not work in the Services (from the Task Manager), but start/restart does not help.

    I restarted the countless times

    So what don't understand me?

What you might consider is do a refresh Windows 8.1 or reinstallation of Windows 7.

I suggest trying the update without losing the files first. If this update version does not help, then try the version that makes a complete refresh.
