Safari has improved in 2015

Safari has improved in 2015?  I use Firefox, but my MacBookPro (mid 2009) can not support Firefox for OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 42.0

Also, what version of Safari is the best.  Use the most recent version?

You would need to define "improved."

If you go to Safari, use the latest version.

Don't go to the site. Download and run MalwareBytes. Malwarebytes was developed by one of our colleagues here to ASC. He received rave reviews and is on the more proven anti-malware for Mac software.

  • This morning when I started Firefox it shows my home page as screwed up as yesterday but Safari has shown as it should look like, what is wrong?

I currently use version 3.6.24 Firefox on my PPC mac with 10.4.11 system. I use Firefox for many years without any problems. I received yesterday and on my screen to alert that there is a new update of Firefox available at the facility. I clicked on OK and the update started. When it's over, I checked and it's the same version, 3.6.24, I used and apparently nothing has changed until I went to my eBay site. Once on my site, I signed in and went to manage my Articles page. The page was different because normally it shows all the items, I have for sale and at the top of the list of points of sale are the three items to check and look at my listings, which I look at you, my profile and my alerts. When you click on one of them you are normally taken to another page. When I went there after apparent installation of the updated release of Firefox page showed my ads in a single column, my profile in another column and third column for my alerts all on one page. This is not normal. I got out and went to my home page which is Now it was different. Parts of the site have disappeared, the sections with the weather, news, and reviews. I thought it might be the site and then I launched Safari and went to the same page and it is normal. This morning when I started Firefox it shows my home page as screwed up as yesterday. Safari has shown as it should look like. I then started SeaMonkey and it showed the page as it should look like. I really like Firefox and I'd like to get it working again as it should. Clear the cache and cookies from sites that cause problems.

    "Clear the Cache":

    • Firefox > Preferences > advanced > network > storage (Cache) offline: 'clear now '.

    'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

    • Firefox > Preferences > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

  • Safari has been hijacked by ads (javascript)

Safari has been hijacked by the ads. I rooted out launch launch demons, agents, deleted all the data of the Web site, additional extensions (adblock, clicktoflash, trafficlight) and the problem persists. The only thing that stops it is disable javascript, but it returns if I activate again. The words that should be plain html are converted into links Hypertext/rollover and they ALWAYS display an ad of "Top case" no matter where I click on the screen, they open an ad. I called Applesupport, and their only solution was to leave Javascript disabled or communicate with Java. But Java only pay support. Someone at - it suggestions? I'm at my wits end here.

You may have installed ad-injecting malicious software ("adware").

Do not use any type of product, "anti-virus" or "anti-malware" on a Mac. It is never necessary for her, and relying on it for protection makes you more vulnerable to attacks, not less.

    Save all data first.

Some of the most common types of adware can be removed by following the instructions from Apple. But before you follow these instructions, you can try an automatic removal.

If you are not already running the latest version of Mac OS X ("El Capitan"), update or upgrade in the App Store you could adware to automatically remove. If you are already using the latest version of El Capitan, you can still download the current update of the Apple Support downloads page and run it. Still, some types of malware will be deleted, not all. There is no such thing as the automatic removal of all possible malware, either by OS X third party software. That's why you can't rely on software to protect you.

If the malware is deleted in your case, you will still need to make changes to the way you use your computer to protect you from new attacks. Ask if you need advice.

If the malware is not automatically deleted, and you cannot remove yourself by following the instructions from Apple, see below.

This simple procedure to detect any type of adware that I know. Disabling is a procedure distinct and better still.

Some legitimate software is funded by advertising and may display advertisements in its own windows or in a web browser while it is running. It's not malware and it may not appear. In addition, some Web sites display advertising intrusive popup that can be confused with adware.

If none of your web browsers work well enough to carry out these instructions, restart the computer in safe mode. Allows to temporarily disable the malware.
