Samsung laptop computer with Windows 7 Home Premium. Scrolling touchpad stopped working with Firefox (but still works with Internet Explorer). I tried to 'restore' to several previous dates, but still does not work. Any ideas?
Do not use this laptop very often. I had done several updates at once (including the Windows updates and the latest edition of Firefox).
Check if there is a PDF file open in another tab. My Samsung R580 scrolls the PDF (which was open on another tab) instead of the tab that is currently open.

I try to register with a mixer via a usb connection. I can tell I have the settings correct, selected in the hardware Audio section. It worked before, but it's not. Any ideas? It's driving me crazy!
That entry of casings do you use on the Yamaha and what you've plugged into them? With the whole level at about 01:00 controls, as Neil suggests, increase the Gain until the red LED on the channel starts flashing. And then put it down a bit so that it no longer lights except very occasionally. You should then see the green signal LED flashes but not the red. You should then have reasonable level in hearing.

Software Adobe isn't really an option-backup software, you install adobe active X software to enable it. Whatever it is,
Just go to macromedia.com to install adobe... If she refuses, then your user account is not set as an administrator, to change
account, disable the parents settings. Macromedia's flash player.

Hey Bireshwari
a vista recovery disc you already have is one of the ways that you normally use on a preinstalled vista machine to reinstall
you start from the recovery disk
to boot from the dvd drive to be able to you will see a way to get into the bios Setup at the bottom of the screen or command menu start
It would be F2 or delete etc to enter the BIOS or F12 etc. for the start menu
Change boot order it do dvd drive 1st in the boot order
If this is not the good disk read this information below
Contact the computer manufacturer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it
they do it for a nominal cost of $
also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought
you would normally press F10 or F11 or Alt + F10, 0 at startup to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer
Ask them of the exact key sequence
or borrow a microsoft dvd vista
Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer
they contain all versions of vista
This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed
Save all data, because it will be lost, do the above

Windows Visa Home Premium functions no longer work after installing Norton System Works.
- I installed Norton System Works. Almost immediately, I have encountered the following problems:
- 1. it takes anywhere from 3 to 5 times to use the mouse to block a section for copy/cut.

Install Windows 7 Pro the Dell laptop w / OEM Windows 7 Home Premium
I have a bit of a MESS! Bought a Dell Latitude Laptop online, which was supposed to have Windows 7 Pro. When receipt he did 7 Home Premium. Found I had problems with some XP programs running and finished by the seller to send me a genuine disc "Réinstallation DVD Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-bit," Dell and a key COST and product. My concern - since they are BOTH the OEM versions of the operating system and a new drive a "Reinstall" rather than an "upgrade" - is that going to reformat my hard drive and destroy all my drivers and the factory pre-installed programs? Dell installs a number of vital programs to run the webcam, diagnostics, audio, secure data backup, etc., and all necessary hardware drivers, but they do not send copies of disc. How to backup all this? And then, everything I need to copy from the system to be able to reinstall the programs? Seems an almost impossible process... A drive to "Reinstall" OEM gives you an option to simply replace the operating system and everything still leave it alone? I certainly don't want to start without knowing what I am getting into.
Would appreciate certainly no help...
Nancy
Thanks for your quick response. I'm a little nervous because of all the issues that I had with this laptop - then just one last question for confirmation - if I buy a key to upgrade to 7 Pro AND use the Express Upgrade Wizard, it WILL NOT reformat my hard drive?
That's right, see how it works:
http://www.notebooks.com/2009/10/26/Windows-7-anytime-upgrade-%E2%80%93-unlocking-more-benefits/
When I am in fact, drivers for all my hardware and programs installed and my data will always be there and accessible under the new OS? Thank you. Nancy
That is right.

original title: Vista to Win 7 networking issue.
I have a Vista laptop that I am trying to use with a desktop running Windows 7. I try to use the file and printer sharing. I have no problem with internet connections through my U-Verse gateway. I am also capable of sharing files from the Windows 7 Desktop, but when I try to access the Windows 7 laptop computer it askes for a user name and password. I passed to the page Advanced Networking two computers and confirmed that the network discovery, file sharing, public folder sharing, and printer sharing are all 'ON '. Protected by password sharing is 'OFF '.
The problem seems to come and go. Sometimes I can get it to work, was not. Sometimes, it works once but not a few hours later even though computers have not changed or been restarted.
A note more than I also use an XP laptop on the same network, and it connects more reliably.
Any help is appreciated! It drives me crazy.
Charlie
When I just opened the page to display the status of 'group', the system started working. I have not made no other changes but Vista laptop now recognizes the Office!

Hello
I have HP Photosmart C6180 all-in-One printer, that works well with my other Compaq Presario SR2001NX desktop (Window XP) wired without any problem.
But after I bought the new laptop about a month ago, I tried to install this printer on my wireless laptop.
I downloaded HP driver for vista 64-bit, which is not always in the final phase of installation showing big 'X' mark on the screen of the window.
Several chatting online with HP technician did not work at all, and I couldn't connect the printer with that laptop apparently more up-to-date, which is quite frustrating.
I know how to connect the printer wireless with router. The printer screen shows it is correctly connected to the Wi - Fi network.I wonder if Microsoft already knows this kind of installation problems.
It seems that Windows does not install automatic blower for this printer. Most of the HP printers is listed on the function of automatic installation of the window, but this printer is not included.
Hello Itnntkim,
Thanks for posting of Microsoft Answers.
I checked on the compatibility of Windows Vista site and this printer is compatible with the 64-bit system, but it shows there is a required download for the drivers. I've included here the compatibility site.

The website below is for drivers for this model for Windows Vista 64-bit system.
http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?OS=2100&LC=en&cc=us&DLC=en&product=1153494&lang=enWe have downloaded the drivers, then uninstall the drivers you currently have. And then update with the new drivers. If when you do that, you still get an error, please answer with the exact error message so that we can continue to troubleshoot with you.

How can I stop Windows Update restart my computer in Windows 7 Home Premium?
While I don't mind Windows Update automatically updates from my PC, view it force a reboot when I am connected causes a problem. I currently have WU configured to perform updates to 03:00, and when it's over, if to do a reboot, I'm not here to tell him to wait. I'd rather leave time settings as they are and simply disable the auto restart, opting instead for WU to let me know that he needs to restart the PC. I found ways to do this on XP and Vista, including registry changes and changes to group policy. However, the registry is obviously a little different, so the keys do not exist compared to what I found, and since I am running Home Premium I have no gpedit.
Where in the registry can I make a change so I do not data lost when WU resets my computer at night?
Another way to do it without hacking the registry, which can be scary for some users), is to follow the instructions on the following Web site:
http://weblogs.ASP.NET/jgalloway/archive/2006/02/11/438009.aspx
I stuck in the main rooms, in the cases where the link is dead (but not nice photo well):
- Click Start-> Run (or Vista and 7 just press the windows ORB)
- Type: gpedit.msc
- Expand Local computer policy / Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates / Windows Components / Windows Update
- Double-click on "to demand no auto restart for automatic updates installations".
- Select 'Active', then OK. Close the group policy configuration program.
This should stop it autorestarting.

Hello
It seems that it is the remains of a malware infection.
Read about it:
And do a scan of Malware:
Download, install, update and scan your system with the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware, if necessary in Mode safe mode with networking:

And here's how to go in Safe Mode options; Select safe mode with networking from the list of options:
