  • How to convert a WPL of music file in my Windows 7 to an MP3 for a Sandisk Clip Sport formart

Song downloaded to Windows 7 Media Center. It is a WPL format, but I can't play on my SanDisk Clip Sport MP3 player because the player does not support this file format. How can I change the WPL to MP3 format?

Hi Natalie - WPL is a playlist file and cannot be converted to mp3 because it contains only pointers to the actual music files. You need locate the actual music files and transfer them from there. (They may not be no need for conversion - it depends if they are in a format supported by the SanDisk card - it seems to support usual ones).

  • Stereo does not read the Sansa Clip after firmware update

    Hello

I upgraded to the last 2.01.35a of the previous 32.

Before that, my channel stereo would connect to the Clip and play songs using the USB connection, I can use the remote to change songs, now with the new update of the firmware it does not read the content of the Clip.  Clip said 'Connected', but the stereo repeat me 'Reading' forever.

I came back to the previous version and it works again.

Is there a problem with the latest version of the firmware?

Also, since I was in Europe, Updater I updated the European version and this limited the volume a LOT.  So I downloaded the US version is now at normal volume.  The European version is too quiet and I can't hear a thing if there is a background noise. But still, the USB connection in the stereo works with version 2.01.32 and not 2.01.35.

    any ideas?

    Thank you.

    Hello

I tried AutoDetect, MTP and MSC and none worked.

Now everything works well again, and I will consider the reset factory settings to change the region for other times.

    Thank you.

  • Impossible to find music on Clip after firmware update

I looked in several threads and could not find an answer.  I have just updated the firmware on my 8 GB Clip.  When it is connected, Windows Explorer shows the music out there (I can even play the Explorer), but on my device, 'Songs', 'Artist' 'Albums' etc. Read "empty".  What should I do?  Thank you.

Fixed.  OK, I copied all the music (just bought yesterday) on WMP and then re-sync'd and it seems to work fine now.

  • Cannot get new SanDisk Clip Sport to turn on

I have a brand new Sport Clip... responsible for an audiobook mp3 top... He listened for 1-2 hours a night. Worked very well! Next night, I could not activate it. Heard that there is no adjustment on this Sport Clip. Connected to the computer for 2-3 hours... still nothing. Any suggestions?

Reset is the select button / power center for 20 sec. Also plug it into USB should activate as well. If you did the zero setting and it's still not coming it would seem that it is bad and would need to be replaced.

    drive format or reset.

Windows will not fit. It detects sandisk as a hard drive, but

won't fit. So it is now frozen.

This same phenomenon occurs with sandisk sansa Jam.

Then I also had the Sandisk sansa clip and it worked

    always well with Linux (xubuntu).

    It is likely? Thank you

    http://forums.SanDisk.com/T5/Sansa-clip-Sansa-clip/need-tech-help-restore-partition-s-filesystems-et... ghlight/true #M8170

    1. Reformat Sansa Clip flash memory and install a FAT32 file system. You can reformat in Linux using Gparted, but the Clip still won't work because the Clip wants the exact settings that Windows uses when it formats a blank disc. However, reformat the Clip in Gparted will serve to ensure that it will not work absolutely nor be recognized by a Windows machine. So go ahead and this once if you wish. Then connect the Sansa Clip USB2 to a computer running Windows or Vista. Then use Windows File Manager (Windows Explorer) to try to open the drive letter of the USB Windows detected device. Windows will give you an error message saying: the drive is not formatted and offer to format it for you. Choose the FAT32 file system and uncheck "quick format". Then let Windows format the Sansa Clip flash memory.
    2. Once the Clip is in the Windows format, delete ('remove hardware safely' icon in the system tray, then unplugging the USB cable). Then go to SanDisk.com and download the "Sansa Updater." This application is update the firmware for the Sansa Clips that are already working, but believe it or not, it can also completely restore the firmware and de-structure of directories and files including the Clip needs to run. After downloading and running or installing the update for Sansa, close the program. Then reconnect the Clip on Windows. It must be recognized and the Sansa Updater program may start automatically. If not, then find the Sansa Updater in the start menu, run it and follow its instructions. It will get your Sansa Clip, then download the latest firmware, then restore your Sansa Clip used-to-be-there's no need to Virgin State, approved, completely updated

  • Sansa Clip freezes at startup and on the firmware update

After unplugging my video to my computer, it is hung on the screen "Connected".

I forced a reset by pressing the power switch it 10 seconds

He then restarted and hung on the Sansa screen

I followed the instructions given in these forums in order to download the update of the firmware, mount the Clip in MSC mode and install the firmware.  Unplug the Clip, it hangs at "Update Firmware in progress" screen.

I then re-mounted the Clip in MSC mode and deleted all the files of music and the update of the firmware.  After disconnection, he hooked again on the Sansa screen.  I then mounted in MSC mode and re-installed the update of the firmware.  He is now suspended again at the screen to update the firmware.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

The following procedure restored the Clip, but requires access to a Windows operating system:

    1. Tower Mounting Clip in MSC mode off camera (now switch is in position 10 sec If necessary 'on'). Set the switch to position 'Hold '. While pressing the "Select" Center, plug it into the USB port on a Windows computer. Wait for Windows to recognize the device before you release the "Select" button

    2. format of the Clip Double click on 'My Computer' to open a window of the Explorer. You should now see the video listed as a reader. Right click on the video player icon and select "Format". Select "FAT32". Do not check the box "quick format". Format the drive.

    3. Finish you can now disconnect the Clip of the computer and it should behave as a Clip of the new out-of-the-box. If you wish, you can download Sansa Updater software from the web site of Sansa (Sansa > support > Clip > downloadsansa Firmware Updater) and run it to install the latest version of the firmware on your device.

  • Application of NEWBIE - SSD firmware update help

    Hello

New Member looking for advice on where to start with maintenance of Sandisk ssd firmware update.

I use an SSD on an acer AOD270 netbook. So, small screen, no CD drive etc. I couldn't not, fo are the life of me, get my Win7 starter HDD cloned on the SSD and start with reliability.

I made the big jump, installed the SSD, installed Linux Mint with all faults, made a few adjustments and controls for noatime and trim and I am very satisfied with what I have.

I would now like to update SSD firmware. I searched these forums and a couple other places, but I'm still a little lost. Y at - it a kind soul who can tell me the right place to start or a thread where this issue has already been resolved?

I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance.

The SanDisk SSD dashboard notifies you when FW updates are available, but it is for Windows only. Since you are on Linux, you can keep a watch on this forum. If a FW update is released it will be posted and stickied at the top of this map. They will post a link to the ISO standard for the FW. You can burn it on a CD or create a USB bootable out of it. Below, a message from FW update for the Extreme Pro SSD for an example. There is currently no FW for the Ultra II SSD update.

  • MP3 player does not light after firmware update

I recently downloaded the Sandisk firmware update software and completed the most recent firmware update. Everything is was the firmware update I turned off the player until the firmware has finished updating. It will not now power, or he can reset. Anyone know what is the solution, even if I have to fix, I have 2700 songs downloaded on it.

Probably easiest and best Customer Support phone, and walk through the issue with them - they can provide an address if and when you get there.  In general, the guarantee is one year in the United States - I don't know if their job with the player more early may affect and extend this.  Of course, explaining that the player was fine until what SanDisk deinstitutionalized it and sent back to you should help.

  • OverDrive Media Console - firmware update Fuze and can no longer download audio books

My experience is that you can not set the clock manually.  While in line, plug the "rocket" and something of its meaning (any file random non - DRM) transfer using the * Windows Media Player *.  This seems to set the internal clock (but you must be * online * while do you - it updates the clock of the internet).

I noticed the "rocket" is particularly sensitive to obtaining of the clock of discount for a reason any (for some reason my Clip has not been nearly as often, the clock reset the "rocket" has).  I have no "always - on" internet and I noticed pretty much everytime I open WMP with attached rocket & no internet connection, it resets the clock of the rocket, causing Overdrive "unit clock not set" message.  This is a big concern for me to get the clock reset (to find an internet connection).  What I think is happening: when you open WMP it seems looking for all connected devices, and set their internal clock at the time of the internet - and you're out of luck if you don't currently have an active internet connection (I think this is a bug in WMP, but I have not confirmed).  To make sure that I do not open with any attached Sansas WMP.  Never.  (Or more).  And the internal clock to my Fuze slept together for going on 6 months now. (It was previously reset every week or two.)

My second thought (actually, probably the original problem) - firmware update resets a bunch of stuff to the default values.  The rocket USB mode was probably return the default (Auto-detect, not-so-affectionately nicknamed 'auto-defaut').  Go to settings | USB mode and set it back to the PSG so OverDrive can use it and then try again.

    Good luck.

  • Sansa Firmware Updater fails to install every time...

I have had my Sansa View for about 2 months now. I have never been able to install the Sansa firmware update. It seems to go through all the steps, then suddenly steps back on the "download the latest Sansa Updater" and says that failed (once just a second before this step was completed successfully). It seems to with success download it, install it, then save, then he can make another step or it may fail on the registration... I can't. All the steps after downloading disappear and now it says that the step does not and gives me the error message "Installation failed. Please try again later. "I think 2 months is much later...

I am running Windows XP SP3 32-bit. The windows firewall is disabled and I use COMODO Internet Security and I use Avira Antivirus. I tried to disable the firewall and the antivirus just to see if they are the cause of the problem, but it has no effect on the results of the installation. In addition, COMODO logs do not show any activity blocked the Installer (or whatever it is blocked at all today). My account is an administrator account.

Now, I think it should be noted that I don't need an update of the firmware. My player integrates the latest version from the website. What I really want is to convert my videos so that I can use them on the player. Unfortanetly there is no way to install the Sansa Media Converter without installing the Firmware Updater (ahh... how many times I tried wasn't the case... but alas...).

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

SOLUTION: I found a thread on the forum of Sansa View that describes the required parameters for the conversion of the video correctly to play on my device. (Here: http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/board/message?board.id=view&thread.id=3300) Given that I don't need to update my firmware (and lets hope I don't) it is a perfect solution for me (especially considering the horrible things I've heard of the SCM).
