Sansa 250 - index on the device

After changing 1 SD card to SD Card 2, I noticed card 1 list of artists/songs etc. still appeared on the device as well as the card 2 artists/songs. When I choose a song to play 1 card, it won't. Somehow, I copied card 1 index to the device so that it appears with what card I insert. Is this possible? Very frustrating trying to determine which card has specific songs. Formats the internal memory, the only way to clear the index Card 1? Then, I would need to add to my main collection on the internal memory again. Suggestions are welcome.

It is fixed. I finished copying the contents of the device to another SD card, formatted the device and then copying the contents of SD card to the device. I removed and insert several different SD cards and device updates reliably, displaying the content of the current map as well as the contents of the device itself. Without the SD card, it displays the contents of the device. So all good!

    Hi, Carl L_942,.

Connect the Sansa Fuze and put into MSC mode. This enabled the majority of users with this problem. Check if it helps you too.

  • Sansa e280: multiple paths to the devices during the synchronization and no MUSIC file

    Feature: Sandisk Sansa e280 8G

    version: 01.02.24A

I had a problem with my e280. A month ago, I started getting an error message during playback of my music files. The error says "Syncronize to continue music subscription" I have synced to my computer, nothing helps. Soon ALL my music files were giving me this error message. I went on the Sansa website, where I was directed to download and run the device Sansa Recovery Console. I did as instructed, and now when I join my e280, I get TWO paths of devices (E: / and F: /). I am only able to access one of them (E: /). F: / is noted as removable drive and not going anywhere. When I enter in E: / I can not find my music files. When I remove my camera, he did a restart of automatic system, as soon as the restart was successful, it updates the database for about 10 minutes. I synced the device and my computer prompted me to format the device. I formatted and I still no MUSIC file. The device has been wiped and I thought it would be best to seek professional help until I made the situation worse.

If there is any other information needed to tell me what it is and, in the worst case scenario, how to find and I'll post it as soon as POSSIBLE. I know it's a lot of problems for a single device, but any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you for your time,

    Dibbz

Unless you are dealing with the Rhapsody subscription service, the error message "sync" is probably due to problems, DRM , Windows Media Player created without your knowledge. It is turned on by default in WMP, & unless you know about it from the start, you can do it yourself untold headaches.

If you are ripping from CD to the .wma format, uncheck the option 'Copy protect' in the rip settings tab. It's the guy causing the problem. If you do not rip your own CD and downloading these songs instead, they have a DRM encryption. Try a different and/or source format. MP3 files don't have any crippling DRM.

You must delete the files on the drive and start over with new, best non - DRM. If RIP you to .mp3 format, it won't be a problem, more there are other benefits on the Microsoft/WMP .wma format.

When connected in MSC mode, your computer will detect your drive as just another flash storage device; actually 2 separate devices. 1 will be your drive (internal memory). In your case, E:. F: received the external memory card slot, if there is a card in it or not. If you have no card in the slot, that's why he 'not going anywhere '. Perfectly natural and nothing bad here.

The MUSIC folder (and others) are hidden by default. You have to display .

Formatting will erase all content, so this is only necessary performed as a last resort. It's a PITA to re - load it all so that you do not want to unless it is absolutely necessary. But now that yours is formatted, you can start over w/o of the DRM BS and your problems should go away.

  • How can I get my computer my external USB drive (portfolio) after that I repeatedly get the message that the device "can not be removed?

Original title: I need a market to resolve the problem remove the instrument.

How can I get my computer my external USB drive (portfolio) after that I repeatedly get the message that the device "can not be removed? I have closed all other programs and waited for varying amounts of time, and tried all of the fixes that have been proposed on this site. Nothing works. I don't want to turn off the computer whenever I have to remove the device.

I can't know what "all patches" you've tried, but:

Make sure that the system restore does not monitor the external drive.  SR does need to control the system drive and to the system drive, SR has only about 1 GB of space max.  Make a right click my computer and select properties then the System Restore tab to configure SR.

Make sure that the Indexing Service is turned off (at least for the external drive).  To disable disk indexing completely, which will also speed up your computer a bit, see http://lifehacker.com/031440/turn-off-indexing-and-speed-up-windows-xp.  For the external drive, right-click on the drive icon in my computer, select properties and uncheck the indexing disc

There are different workarounds short to shut down the computer, but you might want to try this third-party app first:
    http://safelyremove.com/index.html  Among other features:

The device cannot be stopped now. Why? Never encountered the situation when Windows does not allow you to remove a device? Unlike Windows, USB remove will show you programs which prevent the device to be stopped and let you close these programs or just files that they opened on the device.

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

To create a new registry entry that disables the selective suspend of the USB hub driver feature, follow these steps:

    a. Click Start, click Run, type regedit and then click OK.

    b. Locate and then click the following key in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\USB

    c. on the Edit menu, point to new, and then click DWORD.

    d. type DisableSelectiveSuspend, and then press ENTER.

    e. in the Edit menu, click on change.

    f. type 1 and then click OK.

Note: This setting affects all USB host controller drivers in the system.

If the DisableSelectiveSuspend registry entry value is set to 1, the selective suspend feature is disabled. In addition, allow the computer to enable this device to save power power off the checkbox does not appear under the tab for the USB root hub power management.

  • New Sansa Clip + not showing the track titles

I recently got a new Sansa Clip + as a Christmas gift to replace my old (his helmet came out). I've updated to the latest firmware (even my old 01.02.18A,), and I copied my entire library of music from the old to the new player. Everything plays and works in the same way, except for one thing: on the new drive, the song titles never see the place, and the name of the file is always displayed during playback of a song. My old player would show the title of the song of the metadata instead of the file name during playback if it was available. I checked that the titles are actually there and were not lost through some freak mishap copy, so I'm puzzled as to why it won't work as my old drive.

Anyone know of the issue and how to fix it?

Well, Yes, that is my point of view. All tags are there, and all the rest (album, artist, etc.) is displayed in the main screen of the reading and the news section of track except for the title (who, oddly, has never had a track in any case information entry, but that is not the issue).

... well that, as strange as it may seem, the titles of the tracks seem to have returned - after, I moved music off the device to analyze the data volume to activate the Clip + Replay Gain. Really weird, but hey, it works now! (Maybe switch to the computer did it, since I initially copied it directly between devices?)

  • Podcast OGG resume problems when the device has been turned off and on again

Even if the rocket + is listed as support AAC, it seems it does not support AAC files over a certain length, otherwise some file size.  (Someone, is it a value of its own thread?)

For this reason, I need to convert some podcasts to another file format before listening.  MediaMonkey standard appears to limit MP3 conversions (but I love the software otherwise) so I thought that I would like to convert it into OGG instead (and OGG seems to have a better rate of compression than MP3 anyway).

I found it by listening to these podcasts I can pause successfully to create a restore point, and when I come back, it takes up very well, as long as the device has not been driven off the coast between the two.  If the unit has cycled and turn it back on, when I come back to try to resume, it tries (he lists even the index of screen time) but then says "no file type supported" and fails to resume.  I tested on my old Fuze and do not have the same problem.

Others experiencing the same thing?  I want to make sure that if it is just a simple bug of Sandisk is aware of this and can provide a fix in a future update.

BTW, I'm using firmware 1.32.00 (latest as of this post).

This seems to have been fixed with the latest firmware.

  • Suddenly slow to load songs on the device?

I recently downloaded the Sansa Updater program when a firmware update became available.

The way my computer now manages the "rocket" has now changed.

Before, I could plug my camera in and see two devices in my computer.  Now, when I plug the "rocket", I get the "Devices and printers" window that appears with several options.

Since this change, whenever I try to download music on the player it takes a good while before the song is over the copy.

For example, an album of meg 52 a 02:11 to copy from my computer to the "rocket".  This seems to have happened only since I installed the firmware update program.

Anyone have any ideas on what I could do to recover my speed?  For you reference I am running Win7Pro 64 bit on a Dell XPS m1530.

Thank you and have a great day!

It looks like what happened is the Sansa Updater, combined with the Auto-defaut mode, is the culprit. Try to uninstall, make your system... you is not good. In addition, the USB mode is your rocket in? If it is Auto-defaut, you must choose the MTP or MSC mode. If you are not dealing with media of the subscription, then you must not use the PSG.

If you still get the devices and printers pop up after these steps, then go to the main page of devices and printers, highlight the "rocket" and that there should be an option to remove the "rocket". SELECT statement, disconnect the "rocket" and its cable, and then select MSC mode before plugging it back in... that should ensure a return to your original state.

  • And then visualize it PhoneGap/Cordova download file to the device

I'm doing a magazine app that downloads images to the device for the magazine can be read when offline or with a bad internet connection.

I use PhoneGap/Cordova version 3.1 with 10 of BlackBerry and plugins file and file transfer. I made a few changes to my code base that runs on Android and iOS since before he could download files on the Simulator. Ensure the directory that I wanted to save the file to exist and access to the file with the path indicated in fs.root.toURL ().

But now that I got the files uploaded to the device I can't view. On other platforms, I was able to use theFileEntry.toURL () and set it as the source for an img tag. But for BB10 I see only an empty img tag. =/
The specified local path is: filesystem:local:///persistent/bblogo.png

I was searched and seen references to disabling sandbox and by saving the file on blackberry.io.shared or blackberry.io.home, but blackberry is not available for me with PhoneGap 3.1. Looking at the native documentation , that I saw that the shared path is/accounts/1000/shared but trying to browse the file system I am told that the path does not exist. (fs.root.getDirectory ('accounts') to start with).

I have a GitHub repository with what I'm looking for here: https://github.com/gaqzi/phonegap-bb10-file-transfer-test
The code in question is here: https://github.com/gaqzi/phonegap-bb10-file-transfer-test/blob/master/www/js/index.js#L38

I also noticed that the size of the file when the download is complete is much larger than the actual size of the file on my computer. And the same code running on iOS I see not enough to increase the size of the file. I don't know if that has to do any.

To try to combat the current file size wildly different I coded an image 10 x 10 pixels as Base64, she decoded on the device and saved. Now, he pointed out the same size on my computer and the device, but still can not see. The same exercise done on iOS gives me a visible image.

For the code on the test of Base64, please see my thread Stack Overflow for this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/19421245/blackberry-10-cordova-phonegap-3-1-filetransfer-image-do...

I am at a loss what can I do to access the files I created, anyone has an idea?

    Hello

The patch for the cordova file api is still ongoing. Until that of land, here is an example for download of an image and inject it into the DOM. It uses XHR, but the filetransfer plugin should work as well.

    https://gist.github.com/jeffheifetz/c1127b4d3e132ffff972

You will need to 'blackberry.io', which is available as plugin PhoneGap/Cordova here:

    https://github.com/BlackBerry/Cordova-BlackBerry-plugins/tree/master/plugin/com.BlackBerry.IO

The patch will automatically update toURL so that it returns the full path which has been hard-coded in the example.
