SAS blocked HD

Hello, I have a BLADE R420 HDS with two SAS and one of the drives were defective, got another SAS HD but not Dell but when I put the BLADE is listed as blocked.

If I put a defective HD, I can build the HD, but if I put the new Dell says it's not not as locked.

already performed the following steps
updated controller firmware PERC H710, discs and updated the firmware HD when I went into the setup of the BIOS shows also how locked.
Can someone help me?

Hello.

This kind of behavior is expected when using discs that are not certified by Dell because of the incompatibility of the communication with the controller firmware. It's just a chance that they may (not) working normally. Thinking of buying a certified Dell drive as a replacement drive.

Thank you.

It's been a while since this happened.  I just found this service, so I would ask.  I used to use program manager frequently.  Then I had a security breach? virus? - and when I try to bring up the program manager now, the message basically says that my administrator has blocked my useage.  This is a private computer with no administrator but myself.  I tried to log in as 'Administrator' but still got the same message and not able to open the program manager.  Any help?

If you see things like this:

You do not have sufficient security privileges to restore your system.
The System Restore tab is missing from the my computer properties.
System Restore has been disabled by group policy.  To turn on system restore, contact your domain administrator.
The System Restore tab is available, but the turn off System Restore (disabled by Group Policy) box is grayed out.
The task manager has been disabled by your system administrator.
The registry editor has been disabled by your system administrator.
The task manager has been disabled by group policy.
The registry editor has been disabled by group policy.
The command prompt has been disabled by your administrator.  Press a key to continue...
The operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer.  Please contact your system administrator.
The "Run" option is missing from the start menu.
The option "Log off."... ' is missing from the Start Menu.
Add or remove programs hs are limited.  Please check with your administrator.

The usual advice are something in the sense of "something has been disabled in the group policy...". ", and it is probably true that something has been disabled, but you know what something is and what it takes to do about it.

If you are using XP Home Edition, you will get away with advice to use the Group Policy Editor, because there is no Group Policy Editor in XP Home and that really doesn't tell you where to look in group policy, even if you run the Group Policy Editor.

You need a complete solution that works for all versions of XP and requires no hunting around in the Group Policy Editor or registry to find where things are that have been disabled.

Unless you have disabled these things on purpose, chances are good that your system has a malware infection.  The malware knows what tools you use to try to find and remove, for the malware disables the things you are more likely to consume and prevents them from running if you can't find the malware and remove it.

If your system has this kind of affliction, all malicious software tools you currently use or have used failed to protect your system so that you can expand your horizons malware detection and prevention to prevent these kinds of afflictions in the first place.

The malware will be happy you trick into thinking that you need to so something drastic to fix your system - as a facility repair, system restore point or a total reinstallation of XP.  This is what it would be like you, but these measures are not necessary.

You must solve the immediate problem of the tools does not, then scan your system for malware when you are finished.

No matter what kind of malware you've used analytical tools, they are unlikely to solve this problem, because they cannot tell if the changes made to your system have been on purpose (you or an administrator who makes them) or some malware changed them, so the analysis tools will let these things alone (it's usually a good thing).

If your system is afflicted in this way, there are probably other things that also do not work - like the registry editor, System Restore and the command prompt, so fix them all at once even if you have not discovered they are broken again.

These commands from registry removes the registry entries that are stop opening programs.  Although the registry entries do not exist, these commands are safe to run and will work for all versions of XP.

Before making any changes to your registry, back up the registry with this free and popular tool:

    http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/ERUNT.html

Open Notepad to create a new text file:

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

Click OK to open a new Notepad file.

Copy and paste the following lines in bold text in the new Notepad file.

Save the new text file with extension .reg on your desktop or somewhere you can remember with a name you can remember, something like:

    enableit.reg

After you save the file, close Notepad.

Locate the file enableit.reg on your desktop and double-click it.

Alternatively, you can right-click on the enableit.reg file, choose open with... and select the registry editor.

Answer in the affirmative to the question... Are you sure you want to add the information in the registry?

You should then see a message that information has been registered in the register.

    Reboot your system and test.

You can delete the enableit.reg file when you are finished.

If the registry editor has also been disabled, we first fix (not a problem).

I don't know if you already said that, or if you thought about it. The reason why these commands do not work in your system is because they are readers of formatted 4Kn.

P710 series controllers don't support of 4 Kn.

  • SAS/SATA mixed pool and initial data placement

Assuming that I have a mixed pool of SAS and SATA drives, where new written land?  My concern is that Scripture arrive on SAS and SATA also and then over time the SATA data would be transferred to SAS has high performance and data on SAS are cold it shifts to SATA.

I'm leaning toward a configuration that initially all written in SAS assuming it must be efficient and then over time, move down to SATA.  It seems that this is possible.

I am looking for clarification and perhaps a document that could help me understand how to set up my table for everythying lands on fast and down to slow down over time.

It does not work like that.    When you have several members in the same pool, the data is distributed across members in proportion to their relative sizes.   So more data on the volume will reside on the SATA member since he will be probably larger disks.   This is especially true is the SAS is R10 and SATA R50/R6.   Which is pretty common.

In the 5.2.x, firmware if berries are very busy most of the time, the balancer will swap blocks filled with blocks of idle until they members have better balanced latency.  Short term transitional IO load balancer will only be active often.

You can set preferences RAID in volume, if the members are at different levels.

You can bind a volume to a member of the one.

However, the best thing is to start with the group with SANHQ monitor.  This will help you find what type of i/o load you put on the group.   In addition, if you open a support account sometimes this data is also valuable to support.

  • The Serial HBA Adaptec 1405 + windows 7 + Seagate 1 TB hdd SAS ST1000NM0001

    Dear community members

I have the Adaptec card to the subject

-J' updated its BIOS/FW to the latest version
-J' downloaded and installed the latest Adaptec 1405 for Windows 7 x 64 drivers (in my case)

The map itself correctly detects the ST1000NM0001 SAS 1 TB drive (I have a background of basket SAS connected to the HBA, where the HARD drive is gliding/plugged)

Please note that this HBA + cables and so on, perfectly work with a connector SAS 146 GB HARD drive *.

Since the HBA BIOS, I am able to test the ST1000NM0001 and also for formatting (it takes 4 hard hours)

Windows Disk Manager detects the HARD drive

But soon I run the initialization command, disk management is blocked and backplane hdd activity led (one led for each HDD bridge) turns off.

The Adaptec 1405, according to its documentation, supports SAS drives up to 2 TB (especially after that the BIOS updated)

    So, what's the problem?

Why can't I initialize and use this ST1000NM0001? Please note that, as said above, he Commander of the Adaptec BIOS, it seems healthy and working properly, no errors are popped when I formatted, nor when I tested it (test and the format are two commands available in the BIOS of the Adaptec HBAS)

For any advice, or even better, thanks for any help.

    Robert

P.S. look for ASPI drivers are part of the history, I was already using computers when he was at the time of NT3.51, they say that era ASPI finished with XP, but with such behavior, it seems to me as if he lacked ASPI drivers :-)

Aside from the using snipers badly listed in the other post, I would recommend even when contact Adaptec.

When I had reason to Contact them about problems with another Adaptec card they informed me that for some reason they could solve a few motherboards problems caused with their card

  • Permanently degraded on SAS 6/IR RAID.

    Hello

How do you update a table of 'Gradients permanently' to 'Feeling better' or 'online' on a Poweredge R310 with a SAS6/IR controller?  Is - this automatic?

    Here's the context:

I got a Poweredge 310 with SAS 6/IR disconnect this morning.  The system would not start (no bootable device found, press F1 to retry).  Controller SAS reported the painting as "permanently degraded.  Disk0 has been disconnected.  Disk1 was online, no failure doesn't predict.  I removed Disk0 and moved Disk1 to slot0. Rebooted the system and it boots into Windows.  I put a new disc in slot1 and waited.  Nothing happened.  I went in OpenManage and the disk0 was listed as "Online, predicts no failure" disk1 is "ready".  I changed disk1 on a world relief and it began to rebuild.

Here is a summary of Windows journal.  To be clear, no one was present at the shop during this time:

22:02:25 - SAS reports link lost on PHY0, virtual disk, degraded, peripheral physical disk removed 0:0:0

22:02:27 - device physics and then reinserted, reconstruction started

    23:56:57 - link lost on PHY0

    23:57:12 - link restored PHY0

    01:46:34 unexpected sense device 0:0:1

01:46:40 error fatal drive of support during the reconstruction.  Disk 0:0:1

01:46:46 error fatal drive of support during the reconstruction. Disk 0:0:0

    01:49:50 - Bad block table is 80% full.  Disk 0:0:0 and 0:0:1

01:50:05 - Bad block table is full.  Physical disk 0:0:0 and 0:0:1

    01:50:07 - Device 0:0:0 failed.

    02:23:03 - \Device\Harddisk0\DR0 has a bad block

03:54:53 - last entry.  Unexpected support peripheral sense 0:0:1.

Disk 0 is bad and must be replaced, and writing 1 disk experienced failures, causing loss of data.  Because the RAID controller cannot handle missing data, he scored the table as permanently damaged, because no matter what happens, he will never be able to rebuild a drive to remake the table in good health, because he knows that he lacks certain amount of data.  Unfortunately, the table must be deleted and recreated with healthy discs and then restored from a backup.

    Hello, lamartin7!

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple.  Reading your post, it seems that you have several numbers under a contact called "Block", but one of the numbers listed in the contact are always able to call.  I definitely calls for some parts, that I'd rather not have from time to time, so I can understand you wanting to get this resolved.  I'd be happy to help you!

Maybe it seems to me that the contact is not blocked on the iPhone you are currently using.  To do this, press on settings > phone > blocking & Identification.  Scroll down this page and click on 'Contact the block', then look for your contact 'Block' entry and tap it.
