SAS

Recently, I uninstalled SAS.

The uninstall went well and I have no problem other than a minor problem. When I click on the icon start (lower-left) and super type in the search bar that I raise a few remains of SAS. When I try to remove them, he said that they cannot be found.

The first point is SuperAntiSpyware and when I try to remove it I get a message that Windows cannot find c:/Users/Beau/Desktop/SuperAntiSpyware.exe

The following is PROCESSLISTRELATED and says c:/Users/Beau/AppData/Roaming/SUPERAntiSpyware.com/SU.../PROCESSLISTRELATED.DB

The order of the day is PROCCESSLIST and says c:/Users/Beau/AppData/Roaming/SUPERAntiSpyware.com/SUPERAntis.../PROCESSLIST.DB

Through the start menu search is the only way I can find them.  It does not show the exe running in Windows Defender, or in my task manager.

I then downloaded the uninstall tool from the SAS site, by way of SAS SuperAntiSpyware forum member.

The tool removed the PROCESSLIST locations, but not the first mentioned in the previous post. I deleted the uninstall tool and that is also when I search in the Windows icon in the lower left corner. It says that Windows cannot find c:\Users\Beau\DownloadsSASUNINST.EXE

When I try to remove it, he said "this is no longer in C:\Users\Beau\Downloads.

This may cause problems?  Should I remove it? If so, how.

Thanks for your suggestions.

  • Z210 and SAS HBA: those that will work?

I have an Z210 with the processor E-1240 and 16 GB of RAM, Win7 64-bit.  I have a few hard drives SAS 15 K HP's and I want to install on this machine - but the Z210 has no integrated SAS controller. I discovered that there is an Avid Certified version of this computer, and it uses a controller LSI SAS SAS9200-8F to hang the external storage drives. LSI SAS9200 - 8 used to be available in a version of the internal interface (LSI SAS 9200-8i), but that is only apparently now deployed for IBM and there are no Windows 7 drivers.

I want to install an INTERNAL SAS HBA. and I noticed that there is an older model, the LSI SAS3041e, which has drivers for Windows7 64-bit available. So, I think that this cheap SAS HBA could be a good candidate for my Z210.

Has anyone any how SAS HBA in an Z210 properly installed? Specifically the SAS3041e LSA? I think that the issue could boil down to how you install drivers and access the HBA for the boot BIOS...

    DRM for your collective wisdom!

Well, after much research, I decided that the LSI SAS3041-e (non-RAID) controller was a likely candidate. They are available on eBay for almost nothing.

I just installed one in my Z210 and it was as easy as possible: Although the technical docs of LSI a several step process to load the drivers Windows 7 Pro 64-bit with Service Pack 1 installed, the drivers are already present in Windows 7 Pro. I plugged the controller, hooked to a pair of HP SAS 15 K disks and booted from the disc of Windows 7 HP system recovery.

The controller immediately recognized Z210 installed the BIOS and I was off and running. Installation of Win 7 completed smoothly and when the machine finally started in a new Win 7 system, everything was fine and my two new hard drives SAS have been properly formatted and correctly recognized. You should be aware that you will need a pair of "bizarre" SATA cables to use these discs 'battleship-quality '. Cables have a conenctor unified at one end to connect the SAS drives, and the other end is a plain old SATA drive connector and a SATA power plug.

Even if SAS 15 K drives are slightly slower than a disc of 6 GB/S SATA III, the practical speed difference is trivial, these drives have a superior quality construction regular SATA HD, I think.

  • HP Z820 - BIOS 02.55 rev A - SSD on LSI SAS 2308 do not start... "Non-system disk...". »

    Hello

MY Z820 workstation is equipped with an Intel 520 240 GB SSD as boot drive, on the integrated LSI SAS 2308 controller. It is a GPT disk.

I just tried to update my BIOS Rev 02.08 Z820. at 02.55 a. rev.

The update succeeded, and in the BIOS, I check that all the settings are the same as before the update. On the boot, however, I get an error saying "Non system disk or disk error."

Mass strorage option ROM is set to EFI mode.

No matter what the settings, it does not start in Windows.

I started 02.08 BIOS Rev A and now all is well again.

Is there a compatibility issue with the BIOS 02.55 Rev A combo, Intel SSD 520 and LSI SAS 2308?

    Kind regards

I just updated my OS to Win7 Pro Win10 Pro.

I checked the equipment in System Info and I saw that the SAS has nomore controller a good pilot installed to work.

In the support page, I have not found a new version of the SAS for Win10 drivers...

How can I solve the problem?

This is the driver missing a big problem?

    Thank you in advance.

    You are the very welcome.

I have compressed upwards and attached to this ID SAS controller driver to the bottom of this answer...

You need to install it manually.

Download and uncompress the file in its folder.  Don't do anything with the files in the folder.

Go to Device Manager and click on the SAS controller requiring driver.

Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.

Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver folder, that you unzipped.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.

    Restart the PC.

This is the driver I got the file from your PC support and driver page.

  • HP Envy 15t: ads by SASA

    Hello-

Have a little problem on my new machine.  I started my work software installation process.  Somewhere along the line, I picked up some malware that appears in the form "ads by SASA.  Much of appears and displays now show.  I have run several types of malicious and spent an hour on the phone with the concierge service and I can't get rid of this malware infection.  I also searched internet and nothing I can find really works.  Looking at the control panel and all the programs that are installed, there is nothing suspicious.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Things I'd like to try but may not know:

-I want to reset IE 11.  I went through these steps, but in the end, I have a red X (that is to say, fail) on reset customizations.  How can I make this?  Of course, the malicious software has somehow obtained in IE.

-J' have another program scrub of malware which like to use my work COMPUTER service.  He works outside the Windows environment but requires that I boot on the USB bootable.  I tried and tried to make the computer do cela, but do not understand how to change the BIOS to do this.  I want to run the other program.

-Finally, if none of the above works and there are no other options, I think I'll have to do a factory reset.  Not too big of a deal, but all the programs that have been installed by my computer work will need to be reinstalled.  All other programs I have installed have disappeared.

    Thanks for any help.

    Kurt

    Hi Kurt,.

I know how frustrating it can be, I spent all the way.

However, after a few attempts, resolved in this way, for me, and after that for some of my friends:

Emsisoft and Malwarebites are free to use, no need to buy them. You can download, scan and remove malicious software free of charge. You pay the option upgrade to the pro version which offer protection in real time, I do not have, and I want to advice to anyone.

Malwarebites has taken time to find malware, Emsisoft have a smart scan option, so it takes less time to find and remove.

After that, I have run Ccleaner, clean cookies, temporary files and other places where traces can be hidden.

After that, IE restored without problem.

If stil you want to run your program scrub of malware you mentioned before, it is good to take a look at the HP document:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03736054

I'm sure that you will solve your problem.

BTW, my PC where I have the same problem was an asus . Solution to this problem was not found on their forum.

    All the best!

  • SAS on RD450

I have a 70DC RD450 (disks 3.5 ") type, which has the SATA AnyRAID110i controller integrated with marked cables 'SATA' at the bottom of the basket in the car.

My question is can I buy just the controller SAS RAID500 and install it and then plug the SAS is the bottom of rack SATA only or existing records on the backplane?

    Thank you!

    Hello

Great question! You CAN buy a SAS controller, and then insert the SAS drives if you wish. Backplane should work with either.

  • SAS bays for SATA drives

Is it possible to put SATA drives in the SAS bays and connect them to the SATA ports?

    Thank you

Rimokatolik, your simple answer is 'yes '.  SATA drives may be plugged into the connectors SAS the Z800 and later Z8xx series workstations.  This means that the cables of the drive Bay are connected on the SAS (white) connectors on the bottom edge of the motherboard.  Small connects the SATA drives to the SAS controller.  SAS controller works with SATA drives, so you don't have to move cables to the SATA ports to make the SATA disks to work.

However, if you wish, you can connect the wiring existing SAS to SATA ports on the motherboard and put the SATA drives into the drive bays.

Backup/restore. You cannot mix SAS/SATA or SSD/HDD in a table.
