  The VAP is portable model independent and so you should be able to install the VAP, which was released for other models of Toshiba.

  Unfortunately the blue speaker lights cannot be disabled!
  The blue speaker lights are only available on individual units of notebooks P100.

  All portable P100 with Intel graphic 945GM has been delivered without the blue speaker lights and the P100 with nVidia graphics card are delivered with the speaker lights.

  For me it s a clear case Oliver. The device could not be found error message appears because you have tired to install a bad driver.

  Satego P100-10F seems to belong to the PSPAME series.

  Therefore, you need to download the drivers for the laptop PSPAME! Be sure that you have chosen the right set to 100%!

  PS; I recommend you download the drivers from Toshiba European page because AFAIK the Satego has been designed for the European market.

  I run Fedora Core 6 on my laptop Satego P100-10U. But there is a problem using
  NVIDIA-Driver. After a few seconds, running Fedora laptop gets very hot.

  As you probably know Toshiba designs and publish own graphics drivers for Toshiba laptops the graphics drivers are not the same thing as the original graphic drivers of manufacturing such as nVidia or ATI graphics card!
  Graphics drivers from Toshiba are changed in order to avoid overheating of the graphics cards!

  Usually, the books don't provide any special graphics card modules but only the module cooling CPU cooling and so the laptop graphics driver controls the performance of the graphics card.

  If the temperature rises to the critical level the driver slows down the map decreases the temperature and heat production.
  Drivers Nvidia or ATI of origin don't feature such support!
  In my opinion, this is a reason why the card temperature rises to highest level!

  Attention, something like that could damage the graphics card!

  I have a Toshiba Satego P100 Notebook 10U (Modell Nr.: PSPAME - 004002GR) and now I have done an upgrade of RAM of 2 GB of RAM to 4 GB of RAM. My problem is that my Windows 7 64-bit and my 64 bit Ubuntu, do not use the full 4 GB of RAM. The OSs show me that they are 4 GB inside, but he can already use the 3 GB. BIOS has been updated to v. 4.80 and nothing happened.

  How much RAM will be recognized from the BIOS? He sees the full capacity of 4 GB?

  Theoretically, it might be possible that some memory is reserved and used for other hardware components like graphics card or something, but if the BIOS detects the whole capacity everything is ok.

  Yes, it is possible.
  Satego P100 series is very similar to the Satellite P100 series and if you need Win 7 drivers I recommend that you also check the drivers released for Satellite P100.

  Notes; Satellite P100 is a bit older notebook series and the drivers are located in the archives. As a download-> product type, choose the Archive, then tap the P100 series.

  LAN driver must be installed manually because there is no setup.exe file. Go to an unknown device in Device Manager > properties > driver installation and navigate to the folder where you extracted the driver files.

  It resembles the s Satellite P100. Also the same blue speaker lights are supported on the Satego and Satellite P100.

  You should check your notebook specs and compare it with the Satellite P100 unit.
  Sometimes, you can use the same drivers if the laptop supports the same hardware specifications

  As far as I know after that the BIOS updated graphics card driver should be updated also.
