Satellite 1410 - Bluetooth options

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone has had good or bad experiences using a USB Bluetooth adapter in this model. Under XP Pro. I learned there are a couple to choose. Belkin, Targus, Linksys. I installed a Belkin USB bluetooth in a different model Toshiba and he seemed to agree.

Hi guys

I tested the key Belkin USB Bluetooth with my cell phone from Motorola, and it works fine. I try didn t with Satellite 1410 but with Tecra M1 and Satellite P20 Satellite M40.

I put t not see why it should not work on your laptop Satellite.

Good bye

  • Unable to get the restore to work - Satellite 1410 disc

I have a Toshiba Satellite 1410. During a restore of system with restore disks, I forgot to plug it. During the windows set up (this screen where you put in your country and all that) the battery has flat that I plug!

I tried to throw the disc again, as it came with a box when I rebooted that said "the system is not fully restored. Please re-run Setup '. So I turned off and restart, then the message goes up after that windows image appears during startup.

I bought this laptop second hand so I have all the manuals or books with him, I do not know the keys on which support to MSDOs not that I know what to do from here, I do not know which key press during boot up to get the CD to work, I have pressed the keys left right and Center and found exhaust takes me to a page of the system but anything to get the CD to run again that I thought would get just the restoration will once again.

So now it starts up saying ' not completely restored system, please run the installation again.

Someone know or seen this before, and someone can tell me if there is a simple answer, which key support during the start up or how to fix this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

As Daniel said in the first assignment by pressing the C button the laptop should boot from the disc. Please press that several times the C immediately after the laptop from.
Then you can be sure that the option has been enabled.

The other possibility is to enter the BIOS and then to change the initialization of the order on CD/DVD first

  • Satellite 1410-604 - get wirless to work

Hey there, I seem to have a problem with my Satellite 1410 604, I got the Briefcase "Toshiba WirelessLanDriver" of the cd as he said it, I followed the instructions, but yet he says that the .msi file is that contains no information about the pilot for some reason I can't get my wireless to work on this pc.

Any suggestions on how I do it?

As far as I know, this is an old series and I could not find any help on a toshiba Web page. so now im going to try out this forum and see if anyone has a suggestions...

    Kind regards.

    Klattrup

    Hello

As far as I know the Satellite 1410 604 was equipped with WiFi, but it's optional.
So maybe your portable computer does not support the wireless network adapter and the WiFi network is not integrated.

Please check first of all in Device Manager if there is a yellow exclamation mark under network adapters, or if the WiFi card is recognized.

If this isn't the case, then this would mean that the WLan card is not in.

  • I want to install the new HDD for Satellite 1410 303

Can I install the MK8032GAX HARD disk (80 GB Toshiba 2.5 "IDE, 5400 RPM, 16 MB) on my Toshiba Satellite 1410 303? BIOS will detect it?

Unfortunately there no document on this subject because the HARD drive upgrade is dealer so-called option, and because of this, there is no specific info on the upgrade of the HARD drive. According to the specifications of the laptop, this laptop model comes with 20 GB of HARD drive.

I'm sure you can use 40 or 60 GB without any problems. About 80 GB I won't speculate, but maybe someone has already tested and will post here in the next few days.

    Good luck!

  • Satellite 1410-s173, my machine is not waking up from hibernation or standby.

That's exactly what happens when my toshy gets into hibernation or standby. I have a satellite 1410-s173. When I close the lid or when I leave it alone for more than 30 minutes, it is in hibernation... right? Well, when I opened the cover or I press power on, my power light turns green, my HDD wakes up and flickers hard drive indicator led, even a very small backlite appears on the monitor, but there no picture or sound or any intention to work. can anyone help? Thank you.

    Hello
what the laptop should do "when I close the lid or when I leave it alone for more than 30 minutes" can set you in the standby power Options!

But your winter problem, have you installed maybe new drivers or new software because the problem recurs?

  • Question about WiFi MiniPCI Satellite 1410

My Satellite 1410 802 is ready to install the Mini-PCI Wireless card.
    1. what it means that I can install the map made by any seller (Gigabyte?) or only Toshiba?
    2. what antenna? This model equipted with antenna internal or should I buy it with the miniPCI card?

    Hello

You can upgrade your device with the minPCI wireless network card.
In my opinion, you must use the recommended Wireless LAN Mini PCI cards.
On the websites of Toshiba under Options & accessories, you will find different wireless network cards that are compatible with this device.

    Check this site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/generic_content.jsp?service=EU&ID=ONLINE_SHOP

In addition, the antenna is available on the unit. You just need to connect the two cables to the mini-PCI card

    I use Satellite 1410-801.

My exec support advised me to format it and reinstall again.

but I don't have the CD that came with the laptop start.

can I format and reintall again

    concerning

    Vinod

    Hi vinod,

Yes you can. You have two options. First is to contact the Service for the new restore CD original partner. If you want to do this, you just go to a Service partner and to sign a solemn statement (this is a Microsoft limitation) and then you will get a new recovery CD.

Second solution is to install the operating system of Microsoft Windows XP Home CD (full version) edition. After that, you can install all the drivers CD tools & utilities. If you have no CD T & U there is another possibility. Download them all http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com

  • Satellite 1410-604: I lost the screen saver and power management system

I have a Satellite 1410-604. I lost my screensaver and cannot access the Toshiba power management system: I click and nothing happens. I saw a suggestion to run the system restore. When I go to system restore it says it is running, but is there something more specific that I can do?

    Thank you!

I put t know what you did with your operating system, but more often if the system restore option enabled, then it shouldn't be a problem to restore the operating system to the beginning
Simply, start the system restore and choose the starting point that was automatically created.

I also found this useful FAQ:

    Hello

Did you use Wireless LAN in the past?
I ask because the wireless LAN optional on this unit and you must upgrade first the unit with the minPCI wireless LAN card to work with WLan.
    Have you installed the card?
This info is very important because I don t know whether or not there is a Wlan card.

  • Need BIOS 1.2 for Satellite 1410 303

Hi all Toshiba Satellite 1410 303 users.

I'm having a problem with my video card bios.
    My computer's DMI system Version PS141E - 0502 X - VIDEO adapter nVIDIA GeForce4 420 Go (Toshiba),

The victory of Bios 1.40 toshibas page does not work for me.
So, if someone could make the backup to its bios,
I NEED bios version 1.20 (THE ORIGINAL ONE for TOSHIBA 1410-303) will be very happy.

If you could post it to my email [email protected].
    Tounsiiaa

    Hello

The latest BIOS 1.4 - winner which is placed on the page of the Toshiba driver is good.
I put t know why you said that this don't work on your Satellite 1410 but older BIOS versions of the BIOS are not available for download.
I m not quite sure if an ASP technician could help you but it s worth a try to get in touch with one of the ASP and ask for the old BIOS.

  • Satellite 1410 - password on power on

Hi I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite 1410, daughter put a password on it says, but don't remember.

Is there a backdoor password to enter the BIOS and delete it?
Or is there another procedure as reset the battery of the BIOS, or something.

For safety, you will have to send the laptop to an ASP for the removal of the password.

The ASP will have the necessary tools.

  • Satellite 1410 - more than 512 MB RAM possible?

I have a portable Satellite 1410. I have a 512MB of RAM reading and I would like to add this to the computer to make 1 GB. Unfortunately, the jury only supports 512 MB.
Is there anyway to set up the BIOS or something else to make this computer accepts the extra 512 MB of RAM or there is no possible way to make the upper limit to 512 MB?

    Thank you

    Hello

Hmm, I even downloaded the Satellite 1410 user manual and it shows that the computer supports 1 GB of RAM. This means that you can install the module of 512 MB RAM in each slot for a maximum of 1 GB of capacity

You can try to install the RAM module in the worst case the computer will not start or recognize it. Then you may have to remove the module but that s just what can happen in the worst case. :)

  • SD-2212 drive does not read some DVD - Satellite 1410

    Hello every1,
I have the Satellite 1410 604 for more than 2 years, with player combo mentioned above...
It serves me right, except that it does not read certain types of dvd media, and I use only high quality DVD Verbatim...
It happens that in the last months. It is not my main computer but it's to use in my house, and it really bothers me when my sister or father takes the new A60 Pro satellite on the road (its battery is better), I can't use last discs on it. So if there is a cause of upgrade, firmware I can't find on this site...

    Thanks in advance...

    Hello

I don t think that the firmware update will solve this problem because this pilot acknowledged this DVD some time ago.
In addition, I put t found any firmware of this drive on the Toshiba site.

But check if the disk by removing the procedure will solve this problem. So why go to Device Manager and remove the disc. After again starting the operating system should recognize the drive again
