Satellite 220cds: Win98SE does not recognize ethernet cardbus cards

Hello

can someone tell me why Win98se does not recognize my toshiba cardbus ethernet card?

also, where can I find drivers?

I really hope that someone can give me the answer!

Best regards

computerfreak

Hello
First, you must install the driver. I guess that you don't have the installation disc. You need to download a folder of your choice or to where you can find it, it may come as an exe file or a zip file. Install the driver and restarts. Once the driver is installed, you can insert the adapter. Windows98SE automatically installs the driver from your hardware, if a version conflict is displayed, select 'Yes' to use the new file and continue. Resart your computer.
To find the driver you need, go to driverguide.com and register here, it's free, all you need is a valid email address to activate your account. Once you register with driverguide, check your e-mail and click on the validation link, it'll take you back to the website and you should already be connected, jump offers so that access you the page "welcome to driverguide", scroll down to the driver search wizard, choose your product type of device, in this case , NIC, you should be able to navigate from there and find your driver.
Good luck!

    Hello

    the question is:
Why my Satellite A110-294 does not recognize the wireless card?

I re - install Xp PRO with all the drivers.

I have try all the drivers Wireless: Wlan intel + proset intel atheros wlan + wlesscmgr

I don't understand, can you help me?

    Thank you
    André

    Hello

To my knowledge, the A110-294 uses the Atheros WLan card and therefore the Atheros Wlan dirver should be the right one.

You can find the latest driver for Atheros WLan here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

    Just a question;
You see the local network card in Device Manager? I mean, you should see an Ethernet controller or an unknown device in the network adapters
The driver is missing, then the device must be marked with a yellow exclamation point

  • Satellite L655 sometimes does not recognize the wireless card

I have a L655. Most of the time it works perfectly fine. Sometimes when I turn on my computer, it does not recognize my wireless card. He considers that it is not at all.

The icon in the status bar says that there is no cable ethernet plugged in and nothing on the wireless.
Usually this icon is not present, and one for the wireless is (whether it is connected or not and if there are connections available or not). In the device manager there is nothing for the wireless card.

Under network card it has only ethernet. Its as if it does not exist.
Basically the way to solve this problem is by restarting simply my computer until he figures it.
Sometimes, it can take 5 or more times.

    Any help please?

    Hello

What satellite L655-xxx you have exactly?
As far as I know there are different models with different wireless network cards.

Your BIOS is up to date? Please check this box.

So now to a few proposals of solution:
First of all that I recommend to check if the update of the Wlan driver would improve the Wlan functionality.
In addition, you must deactivate the energy saving feature for Wlan in Device Manager and Windows 7 power options as well.

  • Satellite P20 S203 does not recognize my additional 1 GB memory

    Hi all

My computer (Satellite P20 S203) does not recognize my second Bank of memory (1 GB). I have two banks of memory of 1 GB installed. BIOS reports only 1 GB, Windows reports that 1 GB and my Linux so he says only 1 GB of memory. I removed each Bank of memory and restarted the computer successfully in each of the two slots, No Problem, but when the two banks of memory are inserted, it always uses only 1 GB. My BIOS is on version 2.10:

BIOS is the PhoenixBIOS 4.0 Release 6.0

I know it's an old computer (about 10 years), but what could cause such a problem?

Thanks a lot for any advice or suggestions!

    Kind regards

    Hi fuegi_1,

    The upgrade modules, bought exactly?

To me it sounds like that it s a compatibility problem or your computer laptop doesn't support 2 GB.

If you use two memory modules, you must only use two modules of the same production.

  • Portege R700 - Autocad 2011 does not recognize the graphics card

    Hello

I have toshiba Portege R700 with 64-bit win 7 installed.
I need the computer for use with autocad 2011.

For some reason any auocad does not recognize the graphics card installed on the computer.
I suspect it because very little memory is allocated for the graphics card.

How can I change with the memory allocated for the graphics card, or perhaps, can someone show me where can I find a driver that supports autocad.

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

What Portege R700-xxx you have exactly?
As far as I know the graphics memory cannot be assigned manually.
Everything is controlled by the graphics driver and you have no influence on this

You can try updating the graphics card driver maybe it would help.
The most recent driver found on the page of the European driver Toshiba
If not, you should check the manufacturer of the graphics chip driver

    Good luck

    Hello

Check their documentation online with the HP Support and drivers, diagnostics and ask to their
Forums about known problems. If it's the USB adapter, it can be removed/disabled in BIOS

and/or Device Manager and a used external is not that expensive.

  • An SD card is inserted, but my laptop Packard Bell does not recognize the memory card.

    Original title: peripheral equipment

An SD card is inserted, but the PC (my laptop is a Packard bell) has no reaction. It does not recognize the memory card.

    Thanks for your help.
    Christine.

    Hi Stefano,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

This problem can be caused if the SD card is damaged or the card reader may not work properly.

    1. What is the brand and model of the SD memory card?

    2. What is the number of the model of the Packard Bell laptop?

    3. you receive an error code or the message after inserting the SD card into your laptop?

    4. have you made any recent hardware or exchange of software on your computer before the show?

    5. have you tried to insert different SD card in your laptop?

    6. have you checked the SD card in another computer?

    7. you try to connect the SD card to a built-in card reader or externally by USB port card reader?

    8. is the specific question to a SD card or any type of cards?

    9. are you able to detect the SD card in the Device Manager?

  • BlackBerry smartphone Blackberry Bold 9900 does not recognize my sim card

Hi, so I used all charges to my battery, loaded up and subsequently turned back on - all of a sudden the device does not recognize my sim card.

The message that appears indicates that I inserted a new sim card - but I did not - and asks to connect you using my Blackberry ID username and password. I've done this, but my password was not recognized so I reset it online - it is said that the password was changed successfully, however, it still is not recognized when I go into my device.

Someone please help? Thank you in advance!

No, they are on the memory of the device. You should be able to connect the device to your PC and use BlackBerry Desktop Software to make a backup.

  • Moto Q does not recognize the memory card

I just added a 2 GB memory card that is approved for the Moto Q 9 M... For some reason, my phone does not recognize the memory card. In the memory section it shows the card is unknown.

With a previous discussion, I saw, I did add the memory card on my PC. It does not recognize the card... Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Jason

Try formatting the card on your pc and then install it on the phone. If it's 2 GB sandisk it should work fine. If the phone or the card is left. Sometimes reformat card strives to set everything right.
