Satellite 2410-601 - drive is not recognized in 'my computer '.

Hello
CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive
TEAC DW-224TH-A
5.1.2535.0 driver version
If I insert a disk while Windows is loading, it not recognize in my computer. Otherwise, the drive is not recognized in my computer, but I can access the content. Problems occur if I start with a drive that recognizes workstation and then change the drive and computer think it's always the other and problems with AutoPlay.
My main concern is that the last time this happened he then deteriorated and then the hard drive doesn't quite work and I needed a replacement.
Is there something I can do? (I could not find a newer driver).
PS - I own a TOSHIBA Satellite 2410 601.

Thanks for any help

Hello

Did you check device manager if the drive is recognized properly?
Check it out. In addition, you can try to remove the drive from Device Manager.
After restarting the OS should recognize the drive again.

I bought a new satellite pro m40x yesterday and today everything worked fine but today the dvd and cd rom is not recognized more. I don't know about cell phones, what can I do? I don't want to return it to Toshiba and wait 4 weeks to get it back.

    Hi Christine,

Please check in the Device Manager to see if there's anything showing against your CD-ROM drive. If your CD-ROM is always displayed, you should be able to run the process of troubleshooting against it to check for possible errors.

If your CD-ROM is more listed and then launch the 'Scan for hardware changes' option to see if it detects your CD-ROM.

  • pilot missing dvd/CD; drive even not recognized by the computer

somehow, when I tried to burn a dvd, (windows DVD Creator) the computer seems to have removed its own driver for the dvd drive (I put the disc in, it recognized that it was not a disk supported, put a new one in the drive, and create dvd windows then told me that I need to install a dvd/cd writer to complete my project). the relase button disk would not work after turning in the second disc and always used to work even after that. If I use a pin code manually to open and put a disk in the light lights up recocnizing there is something in there, but that nothing, not even spin the disc. No cd, dvd or all other discs work. Ive tried a few different driver Fixer programs, even those you pay (mender driver, driver detective - no even to recognize the missing driver) and can't seem to find a solution. cd/DVD device does not even appear in "device system' list or lists of material which must show all devices, programs or drivers... also do not show my E: / in my computer, what would be my dvd/cd drive." I tried the "regedit" and could not find the 'filter filter up/down' you are supposed to remove to fix. Hello

For the CD/DVD problem start up that convenience store and work down to jump
nothing. He is even said to continue if the CD/DVD drive is not displayed in Device Manager.
You are much less likely to solve the problem by a hit or miss approach to try this
or such. And of course, there may be a material cause.

The HP forums, ask questions and I hope that those who have had
the same issues on similar equipment that have solved the issue respond. Only way
to succeed is to give your best effort.

HP does not have a lot of online documentation and help diagnostics on their site and those
could help to resolve some of the questions withour paying for support.

Back up your data on the device and it goes back out of the box state
can be one of the best moves to solve the present problems.

    I hope this helps.

  • Western Digital external 1.5 TB hard drive is not recognized on my computer!

I have Windows Vista and my external hard drive has stopped working. The last time that I used it I plugged it in my computer hp Pavilion laptop to transfer files. Then I hooked her laptop from my mother, who is a Sony Vaio which is running Windows 7 and has been the transfer of files when he got accidentily Cup while he was to transfer the files on the hard drive. I tried to connect the drive external hard back in but now when I plug it is recognized but does not appear in my computer. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the device. I deactivated and activated the device, but it still shows nothing in my computer screen. The light on the drive is on and the computer displays the option to delete security downstairs, but when I go into my computer, nothing shows up. I tried to put it on different machines, but it does the same thing he he reconizes but does not show the drive in my computer screen. Is my hard drive in ruins or is there a possible fix?

"I tried to put it on different machines, but it does the same thing.

If you encounter the same problem with it on different machines, it seems to be a flaw in the hard drive itself.

I suggest that you contact Western Digital for this topic.

  • C50 - D satellite - external hard drive is not recognized

Just Satellite C50 D but are unable to read or recognize my LaCie hard drive.
As it has all the data from my old computer, it is rather important. Can someone provide help and advice on the way to a) the disc or b) transfer all data in the memory of the laptop

    Thank you very much
    A  :-)

    Hello

The laptop supports 1 USB 3.0 port and 2 USB 2.0 ports.
I recommend you connect the external HARD drive to each port (USB 2.0) and USB3.0 just to check if it is not a compatibility problem. But generally, it shouldn't be a big problem to connect a USB 2.0 device to a USB 3.0 external.

However, it could also be that this external HARD drive needs more than usual 500mA power supplied by a USB 2.0 port. In this case, you must use a USB cable to Y to connect the HARD drive to two USB ports.

  • DVD drive is not recognized in my computer on the Satellite 300 - 11V

When I opened my computer all that appears is the hard disk devices and other devices. I looked in the Device Manager and variants for DVD players, there's a! in a yellow triangle next to my DVD player.

I clicked on properties on the DVD player and displays the disk is corrupted or missing (Code 39). I used windows to seek solutions, but it doesn't seem to be all. Are there other ways to solve this problem?

    My OS is Windows Vista.

The first thing I recommend is to remove the drive from Device Manager. Then, restart your machine and start Vista. After starting, it must be reinstalled the drive.
If not, then you can just check if your drive is defective: pick up a CD or DVD that is bootable (for example the recovery disk) and check if the player starts the CD.
But don t forget to put the CD/DVD as the first drive in the boot order.

    Welcome them

  • IomegaWare Zip 100 drive unit not recognized by the computer of Windows 8

Help, please. I bought a zip 100 Iomega drive to retrieve ONLY data (files/photos) from a pile of old zip disks. My laptop Lenovo (windows 8) nor my HP desktop computer (windows 7) recognize the zip drive external usb.  Are there compatible drivers anywhere? I spent hours online, trying to check or correct the incompatibility issues, but also obsolete driver problems without success. The disc provided for installing out-of-date drivers. I am not a technician. Any help would be useful. I have an external hard drive functional, functional. I just want to get the data off the old 100 iomega zip disks.  I don't plan to do anything else with the zips or zip drive. And Yes, I should have done this earlier, but like many busy people know, sometimes time can get the better of you. The loss of these data would at best heartbroken as the discs containing pictures and original, irreplaceable data.

You may be able to install a driver that is inherited in compatibility mode.  Get the latest driver that has HP and install it like this compatibility mode

To install in compatibility mode do the following:

Click with the right button on the installer > properties > compatibility > choose OS

    Hi Paul,.

You don't say what model of laptop you have, but generally speaking if you are using Windows XP then you will use the standard Microsoft drivers for your scanner.

However, you can Toshiba drivers and utilities download from Toshiba web site by clicking on the Support section and downloads and selection of files to download. You will need to fill in the details of your laptop so that the list of appropriate driver (unless you have provided these details when you register).

    Kind regards

  • External hard disk is not recognized in my computer

My external Western Digital USB hard drive is not recognized in my computer.

I see it in Device Manager and computer management/disk management but not in my computer.

Update driver, a refreshed in disk management and several reboots.

The external hard drive is there but not recognized on my computer.

I need to restore from this external hard drive, but I can't access it.

most of the answers deals with reformatting... the original post says he wants recover from this drive to reformat does not help... the external usb drives, equipped with cables that have 2 ends of usb, connect the two in to; separated on the MB, separate usb hubs usb ports it is because power is causing problems (current rises to voltage drops) then sometimes access to the drive causes the voltage on a single falling down USB, think the os it's read-only / permission issues, with 2 connected to separate power sources the question goes... they were built that way...

I also recommend to never put a USB through a third party hub as more often which can cause problems with the unrecognized drive.

That said, yes I had to reformat to access a drive, if you cannot write to a disc rclick and observe the permissions, if you have formatted the drive on another pc and not changed the permissions for everyone, then under sercurity see you permissions set on a long number, it is because he is always set to original pc (or the id of this pc). Sometimes you can over the way these parameters by taking possession (in the s parameters) and reset to everyone on the local pc.

Something else I found on the disc is not recognized... Plug it into the usb port as described above and restart the pc, I got this job...

Note: I deal with almost all the avalible from different readers that my clients use them all.

  • Satellite A200 PSAF6A - HARD drive is not recognized. No recovery of product

The drive HARD in my Toshiba Satellite A200 PSAF6A-0US01N is not recognized in the machine or any other computer, so I can't run any windows/toshiba repair.

I know that readers have a factory reset hidden on the disc and press 0 to the power upward, but with the unreadable disk, how can I repair my installation of Windows Vista?

    Hello

If the HARD drive is not recognized by the BIOS or other laptops, then I would say that your HARD drive is defective.
In this case, you need to replace the HARD drive.
In this case, you will not be able to start the recovery procedure from the HARD drive because it works badly as he has already said

Are you from the Australia? If you need a recovery disk, I recommend contacting the local Toshiba ASP to get this drive

  • Card SD slot does not not - Satellite 2410 601

    Hello
I've had my TOSHIBA Satellite 2410 601 laptop for almost 3 years and have never needed to use the SD slot. However, now I would like to use, since I got it.
When I insert an SD card, the works 'flashy light', but I don't see the drive in my computer.
I tried to download the drivers from this site and following the instructions - but nothing works.
It must be a driver problem or the program I think.
    (help!)
    Thank you

[Edited by: admin on 11 February 06 20:29]

    Hello

First of all, you should check that if Device Manager the SD slot in properly installed.
If the yellow exclamation point appears in Device Manager in the SD area so there's something wrong. Usually, the driver is missing. In this case, you will need to install the driver of SD host controller and SD card driver. These drivers you will find on the Toshiba site.

If the device has been installed correctly and that the Device Manager doesn't show any exclamation point if you must use a compatible SD card and supported.
Please see user's manual for supported SD cards.

  • External hard drive USB not recognized by Win XP Satellite

My Satellite S105 running Windows XP Professional SP3 works well with any external SSD.

Yet my external USB hard drive from Seagate Freeagent is visible sometimes and not others. The Seagate works very well except when it is invisible to Windows. Removing the drivers USB (re-installed by windows) does not change this. The drive is not visible in my computer or elsewhere. Dirve of Seagate Manager does not detect the drive in these moments there.

    What is the solution?

    Thank you.

I guess that other external USB devices (USB flash drive key, mouse, etc.) are working properly and don't disappear in my computer. Is this good?

This means that this issue has nothing to do with the laptop or USB ports for s laptop but with your external USB HDD.
A maybe it's some kind of problem with the USB HDD. ?:|
