Satellite 3000-100: keyboard does not work
Hello
I have a Toshiba Satellite 3000 100 laptop. It worked without any problem. But suddenly the keyboard did not work! The other keys work always. What can I do?
Thank you, homer108 (from Germany)
For me, it looks like a keyboard failure.
In this case, you need to replace the old keyboard with a new one.
The replacement is not very difficult. The keyboard is connected to the motherboard with the flat cable. To disconnect the cable from the motherboard, you'll have to open two small latches on the sides of s of connector and cable.
However, first you must order an ASP compatible keyboard which is responsible for your country. And if you have no experience with the replacement procedures, I recommend the portable computer technician, asking for help.
Best regards

Satellite 200-170-keyboard does not work and the keyboard stops working
My U200-170 2.5 years, I have the following problem:
When after the start of the key is opperated the keyboard does not work and the keyboard no longer works (works until the button is pressed) connect a keyboard and a usb mouse. does not work because that device unknown. After Internet received external usb driver work ok. someone at - it an idea to solve this problem.
Thank you
AJAN
Sounds like keyboard problem.
The operating system uses the pilot to clean keyboard and generally it s not necessary to reinstall the special keyboard driver.
But one thing is really strange; the yellow exclamation mark in Device ManagerEventually it s only a problem of software in such a case, a system restore can be useful...
Have you checked if the keyboard works in the BIOS?
Do this!If the keyboard does not work in the BIOS, then you will need to replace the internal keyboard with the new.

Satellite C875-100 - WLan does not work after the victory 8 upgrade - no driver
I bought a toshiba satellite c875-100 yesterday and I did the upgrade of windows 8.
Before the upgrade of the network wireless connector worked well, after the upgrade, he doesn't.Device Manager showed that my network connector driver was not installed.
I tried all the drivers of toshiba online for this specific model with the name 'Wireless' in it and later on al the drivers for this particular model, but every time I get the message that the Device Manager cannot find the appropriate driver.Adesperate attempt I have just tried to choose a driver from the list of windows itself (I choose the realtek PCI wireless network card) but who gave a sudden stop of the system.
Anyone have a suggestion how to get my network controller to work?
If not, is it possible to revert to the version of windows 7, which was already installed? Thanks in advance!
Hi mate
As I m wrong not the laptop does support RTL8723AE Realtek Wlan card.
You need the driver that would exactly support the RTL8723AE WLan chip -
Satellite Pro C850 keyboard does not work properly and opens several programs
My satellite pro C850 1HE keyboard intermittently stops working correctly, and begins to open programs, for example, by pressing F will open the file search, C open computer this kind of thing
is there a permanent solution to this problem?
This is not something to do with installed programs is not something to do with the browser settings.
restarting the computer works in a short time, but that is a long time, it's really annoying because I use this for work and study!> is there a permanent solution to this problem?
The question is what causes this problem? Is it related hardware or software related issue?
Why n t connect a USB keyboard just to check if the same would happen?
In case the USB keyboard would work fine, I guess that the internal keyboard failures and the solution would be a simple replacement of the defective part.

Satellite Pro 6100 keyboard does not work properly after repairs
Hello
My 6100 Pro Sam just being away from usual mother board and power Board replacement with Toshiba, but now I have a strange keyboard problem.
When I turn it on, all the keys are working. After a few minutes, '3' is not working, then 'r' fails, then '5', ' 7 ', ' 8',' 9 ', ' 0' to stop working. At this point, I can feel something very hot under the middle of the keyboard. A reboot and no keys work. Another reboot with the internal keyboard and an external keyboard to the PS2 is still defective (some keys work, others do not), but the outer one works properly.
Now, if the pc has not obtained if hot as the middle of the internal keyboard, then, I would conclude that the keyboard was defective, but for his failure, slowly and sequentially like this and it fails at the same way every day (since Toshiba rebuild it!).
Perhaps, internal keyboard controller overheating?
Anyone know what this could be? :-(See you soon,.
HomerRight under the keyboard of your pro 6100 is the VGA graphics controller (the keyboard cable plugs on the same map). It is normal that this part become hot during use.
It is strange that your problem appears after a while and not immediately.
It could be just a bad relocation of the keyboard cable (it's a thin layer as a movie negative photo) which easily appears there, but... it may be something more serious, too. (Especially since you had done upgrade where the material had to be changed)
I consult the service centre once more and ask for instructions how to deal with this. Do not ignore it (using an external keyboard instead of internal dysfunction) because he could end up in something more serious soon...

After the recovery with CD Satellite C660-1FE keyboard does NOT work
Hello
A month ago I bought a Toshiba C660-1FE. After three weeks my HD broke down. I bought a new HD from Western Digital and I replaced the broken HD. I did a recovery of my HD image, so I had to order the recovery disks of the product on the Toshiba site (3 disks, which drive 1 and 3 were the only required for installation).
Now I have the problem that my laptop keyboard doesn't work. I am currently using a USB keyboard and a mouse to replace my keyboard and the touchpad of the notebook.
The keyboard of the laptop works fine in the BIOS. Therefore, I hope that it's just a driver issue.
I have:
tried to find and install a lot of pilots since the toshiba site, no results.
tried to change settings in the bios (usb enabled).
tried to fix the problem by reinstalling all of the computer repeatedly. The keyboard seems to work until windows loads. When the system is switched on I can press caps lock and num lock and the green lights will turn on. All this stops working once windows starts is displayed.
Perhaps another problem in Device Manager: under the graphics card, 2 subcategories have exclamation points: it says Mobile Intel (r) 4 series express chipset family twice! I can't seem to fix these with the drivers I can find either. When I check the settings I have this message (google translate since it is in Dutch):
+ Digital signature for the drivers for this device is necessary, cannot be verified. Possible after a recent hardware or software change a file that is installed signed incorrectly or damaged, or malicious software is installed from an unknown source. (Code 52) +.
+ You must restart the computer for this change to take effect. + (obviously I've tried that too)
Can someone give me it please help? I'm at the end of my intelligence.
Sincerely,
Daniel
Hello
Keyboard works in the BIOS, it means that the keyboard material should be ok and the connection between the keyboard and the motherboard is established.
So, what could be bad? Keyboard driver?
Hmm, the keyboard driver is part of the Windows operating system and is installed automatically during the installation of the OS
I would recommend following:
Go to Device Manager and remove the keyboard point.
You should see something like PS/2 standard keyboard
If you see a red x next to this unit, then it means that the keyboard is disabled.
Usually, you should be able to activate this again (in Device Manager).
If there is no Red Cross, so I you would recommend the deletion of this keyboard in the Manager list of devices, then reboot the laptop. Usually, the operating system should recognize the device automatically deleted and should install the driver too.Select this check box.
By the way: it is possible that you received a recovery disk wrong which could explain the problems after the recovery procedure
