Satellite A-L50-19N 0% battery and not charging

Hello

I used Toshiba eco utility and battery lifecycle saving mode (power icon in the State reported half full and not load bar).

Recently, I was forced to reinstall Windows, which has also removed all the drivers and software from Toshiba.
Now II'm having problems with the battery charge not, reports set to 0% and no battery power icon not charging even when main DC is plugged.

I noticed this laptop often turns off the coast during the start or restart.
I guess that's due to the condition of the battery.
In other words, I can't re-enable charging battery.

Power off the battery voltage in the BIOS and two sequential reboots do not seem to solve the problem.

Hello

How and what system reinstall you?

Have you used the image of Toshiba (average DVD or recovery USB memory) or maybe the HARD drive recovery? Or did you install the system using Microsoft Windows disc clean?

In case you have used the Microsoft Windows disk clean; have you installed all the drivers Toshiba and the Toshiba UE driver page tools?

Your comments would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello
Since this morning, I have problems with my laptop battery.

Even with the domain controller is connected, the suspension of the battery at 0% not charging and after a few seconds, Windows goes to sleep by itself.
I tried to start Windows in safe mode and the battery seems to work without even plugged DC so at 0%.

Now I use the laptop without the battery and only with DC power.

Is there something I can do to solve the problem?

    Thank you!

Try to uninstall the ACPI compatible control method battery.
This can be found in the device-> battery Manager

Once the compatible ACPI control method battery driver disappeared (uninstalled), click on the 'Action' menu at the top of the window and select Scan for hardware changes.

This should reinstall the removed driver...

But if it does not solve the problem of battery, keep off compatible ACPI control method battery.

    Hello

I bought a laptop from Doha yesterday and now I am in India. I used the computer laptop 2nd time, 1st time, I loaded the laptop and used but yesterday I do not charge the battery and used with Player in the charger. After a few hours battery drained after im pluggin installed in the charger yesterday. I left it on my table by putting the charger cable. But nothing happends... When I click the power button the flashes 3 times during 1 second.

How to activate the laptop suggestions?

I would try reinstalling the memory to see if any change - or withdrawal of one then the other-if you have two - to see if it will start.

Since you are under warranty, you'd be better off calling HP support.

  • Satellite A300-1BZ - new battery does not charge

    Hello

I bought a new battery (PA3534U-1BRS) because my old battery (3 years) hold office as well as it should!
The new battery will not charge, the Red battery light suggesting everything of fine, but then begins to Flash after 20 minutes.
When I turn on the computer the battery indicator on the taskbar in Vista tells me the device is turned on, but the battery won't charge.

The company where I bought the battery has issued me with a replacement, but I'll always have the same problem.
They have listed the battery as a genuine, and there any labelling even as my old battery.

The battery would be false or toshiba has changed the specifications of this battery in particular.
The reason for my last statement is the fact that my old battery contacts look more apparent than those on the new.

I have no reason to believe that the company is not kosher because I returned the first battery to address personally after realizing that they were on my doorstep!
    Fake or not compatible?

    The comments appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

Maybe you used the battery is not compatible, but AFAIK the PA3534U-1BRS is designed for Satellite A200 A300 L300 L300D
    So it should work.

However, I recommend buying a battery of origin of Toshiba ASP.

Contact a local Toshiba authorized service partner and order a new compatible battery for this laptop.

I think the new battery should work.

I have laptop Satellite L655-13V and the battery does not charge while I plugged the AC/DC adapter.
and give me this status: "plugged in, not charging."
And when I connect the battery only work on computer, and when I connect the AC/DC adapter only without battery the computer works also.

But when I connect the battery and plugged to the AC/DC battery adapter not charging and give me this status: "plugged in, does not support".

Please, help me to overcome this problem.

    Hello

Leave the AC adapter plugged into the laptop for a longer period of time.
In many cases, the battery may not start to demand immediately, as his deeply discharged.
In this case the adapter must be connected to the laptop for a long period of precharge the battery, then the battery should start loading as usual.

  • Satellite A100-new or old battery is not

    Hello
    I have a Satellite A100 - 543 (PSAARE).

The original battery was not charging so I bought a new. Now a new charge or the other. I then ordered a new charger before coming on this forum so I'll try that when it happens, but I think that the problem is not resolved.

With the new battery, the icon says "10% usable, plugged, in charge. The icon, when the laptop is first turned on, shows the load bar moving (load) but after a few moments, stop.

With the old battery in the icon says "connected, charge." It shows the empty.
In both cases, the battery light is on.

If I get the charger to the laptop computer, the computer stops immediately.

Trawl the forums I see one proposed solution is an upgrade of the BIOS. I have the BIOS version 5.80

However I can not find my model (see above) on the list of Toshiba! It was purchased in France and out of warranty.

Again I am doubtful that this will solve the problem.

Others point out the motherboard. How I know this? If it's someone have an idea of the cost?

    I hope someone can help.

    Henry

    > It looks like the card main load circuit has a defect which is not cost effective to repair.
Yes, it seems that Yes. Looks like only a mobo replacement could help

For two days the Toshiba * Satellite L20-183 original * battery does not charge.
The laptop * works on a/c * power, but its * battery is stuck * on 3%.

You have an idea, what could be the problem?
The laptop is almost three years, and the battery itself is rarely used (almost all the time),
I can't imagine it's already ready for graveyeard.

I run * BatteryMon test and these are the log information:

How old is your laptop and the battery?

The point is that, after a long period of use of each battery stops the functionality.

My battery in the laptop of 5 years is not working too.
I could replace it, but I use the old good classic as a desk for laptop and it s still connected to the power adapter so I put t need a new battery.

However, if you want you could test whether a new battery will help you.

  • Battery does not charge, but by Satellite Pro L510 is running in battery mode

Hi, I had a few odd battery problems these days:

I had charged my laptop completely to 100% and then used it on the train on my way home (in Windows 7 64-bit), how I got it to about 70%, shut down normally, put it in my bag and left there until I got home. When I got home, I tried to turn it on but it lights and battery light orange blinking indicating that there can be no charge. I plugged it in and it worked as usual (Linux), so don't think too hard on this subject.

Later I realized that the battery was still the load after longer that it should have been and running the acpi + (linux) command told me has the battery + charge, 0%, charge at the zero rate - will never fully charge. + I disconnected to see if it worked, and the battery lasted as usual, although always it's 0% charge rate.

I started in Windows 7, and the battery reported that it was at 68%, so I assumed it was back to normal. A while later, I noticed that he was still 68%, despite having connected for a while - at least an hour. Start on linux, acpi showed data battery normal search, except that it was 'blocked' to 68%.

I disconnected the laptop and run it as usual, and it ran until he cut; I guess with him out of power. I plugged it back in and it is 'charge' again, even if it is still 0% battery and "load at the zero rate".

Before all this happened, the battery works well - apparently to 94% of its capacity. It would be modified for a few hours unplugged play movies or games.

Summary: PC laptop battery suddenly going to works "attributed to the zero rate" and 0% complete; battery still seems to work very well, seems fresh and portable no power plugged in but the battery is not 'charging' or have his percentage of charge remaining increase.

Someone at - it ideas? I have yet to try a BIOS update, but it seems that there is one available, so I will give that a try. I feel that the problem is not the battery as the battery controller, so I don't want to invest in a new battery without knowing it, the problem will be solved.

    Thank you!

    Hello

I think you should try upgrading the BIOS
BIOS default value, and then try to charge the battery again.

    > get the impression, the problem is not the battery as the battery controller, so I don't want to invest in a new battery without knowing it, the problem will be solved.
Well, it of really difficult to tell if the battery or the mobo may be affected
In my opinion, the battery must be tested without a doubt

  • Satellite L500D battery does not charge

My L500D is less 12 months... sound closer to 8 months and the battery will not charge...
I tried the troubleshooting tips him are delivered with the user manual but light only stays on for about 5 seconds and it constantly says 0%.

Right now I am an extremely frustrated owner of Toshiba and will be offended if I need to replace the battery after 8 months of normal personal use.

All the tips, advice and suggestions are more then appreciated!

    Hello

Battery problems are nothing unusual, that sooner or later each battery will die it s only a matter of time but of course he s strange that the battery can not be charged after 8 months of use

However, the battery and the laptop are covered under warranty for 12 months.
You should get in touch with a local ASP in order to solve this problem
If the warranty is valid, everything must be done free of charge...
    .
    Good luck

  • New battery is not charged or recognized on my laptop satellite

    Hello

I recently bought a new and said to be the original (on ebay) battery for my laptop Toshiba Satellie. I have aready replaced my battery once with no real battery that hold less then a year. However, I got the "no battery is detected" when I have insalled first battery, and now I get the notification ' Plugged in and not charging.

I looked and tried several solutions found on the internet, including the re - install the driver ACPI battery and some ways to restart, but was not helpful. I suspect it has to do with my power adapter that is not in its best condition, or the battery itself is defective.

    I'd appreciate any suggestions.

    Thank you

    Hello

I think that the battery is not compatible / incorrect or defective.
First of all you n t need the drivers to operate battery
So if you didn't have the same problem with the battery, then I would say that the battery is not ok.

This means that you need test the other batteries...

  • U350. Literally from one day to the next... Battery will not charge and does more wireless.

I had my Ideapad U350 since June 2010 and had absolutely no problems with it so far.

Up til now, I have not known stack shortened life or internet problems... now, unexpectedly, the battery won't charge and the Wireless does not illuminate.

I keep my system up to date and my current antivirus.

When it is plugged in, the computer turns on.  The battery under the keyboard light flashes orange constantly.  Mousing over the battery icon in the taskbar, the menu indicates that the system is plugged. The battery is at 0% and not charging.

The light for the Wireless does not at all regardless of the position of the switch on the side or all the software settings that I fiddled with.

I went to the network connections and click right on the wireless... disabled, reactive it... has tried to diagnose the problem, windows just says that the card must be activated.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers of devices from the Device Manager, not go.

On a whim, I backed up all my data and used the restoration of the system of one - tap to return to the factory settings.  No dice.

try to remove/replace the battery, or press the power button for two seconds. If it doesn't, call lenovo support line and ask for replacement.
