Satellite A100-163 mobile backup with Bluetooth

Hello

I hope someone can help. WE try to get the phone to computer backup and we can't to the do talk to each other.

I really have no knowledge on how to implement. I was wondering if someone could help it.

In Manager devices, Modems, the GXmdm4_Bluetooth modem is disabled but the Toshiba Software is enabled. Don't know where to go from here.

Any help would be appreciated gratefully.

Thank you
Judy

Hello

Are you sure that the Bluetooth module is installed on your laptop computer at 100%?
I ask because I found some information on this unit in the net and it seems that this laptop has been delivered without Bluetooth.

All laptops with Bluetooth must have a Bluetooth label at the bottom of the unit.
Please check whether your device has such tag.

PS: I think that the software can be installed because the A100 was delivered with a different hardware configuration. But the image was made for all cell phones - with and without the BT module.

  • Updated graphics for a Satellite A100-163

    Hello
I was wondering if it is possible to improve the graphics in the Toshibe Satellite A100-163. In the specifications of this Web site, it says it is connected by the new card PCI Express x 16 bus, this means that it is infact a graphics card in my laptop at a later date, I would be able to upgrade?
    Thank you for your help,
    M_Taylor40

Well, the unit was delivered with an ATI MOBILITY RADEON X 1400 128 MB.
But generally, it is not possible to update the graphics card on the laptop.
The graphics on laptops are all just different such as a card in the desktop PC.

  • Satellite A100-163 low wireless signal

I just bought a Satellite A100-163, and while wireless, it works to the full 54 members of Parliament he said that the signal is very weak. My old 2430 402, who is sitting beside her said the signal is very strong and I have recently set up a satellite Pro A100 Botc on the same desktop and who received a signal strong. The router, a Voyager 2100 is only 5 feet away. Any thoughts anyone

    Hello

The WLan signal depends on many factors. But maybe we can solve your problem with changing some settings in the WLan card properties.
Go to Device Manager and enter the properties of card Wlan (right click)
You will find a power management tab. The power save option should be disabled.

In addition, you can check another option in the properties. I think it should also be something such as a scope of the WiFi signal. Sorry, I can t remember the full name.

    However check it out.

  • The screen on the Satellite A100-163 changed 180 degrees.

The screen on my Satellite A100 - 163 has flipped 180 degrees. The cat sat on the keyboard, so I guess that a combination of keys it will sort! I tried ctrl-stift-r as suggested in a previous message, but nothing helped.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi Stephanie

Please check the settings of graphics card. I put t know what graphics card your device but I noticed that the units with Intel graphics card have this office turn option and you can change it manually in the properties.

  • Satellite A100 - BT mobile broadband

Here's an email from BT, I just can't get their mobile broadband services working with my Satellite A100

    Hi Mr J Cairns,.

further to our conversation regarding your problem with Broadband BT's Mobile on Windows 7, we have concluded that the fault is caused by its windows 7 autonomous, there seems to be a problem with Dial-up networking on the computer, our software indicates that there is a problem with the "Remote Access Connection Manager service" and try to manually start the Service generates an error about its dependencies.

My only suggestions to solve the problem is to contact your PC vendor for diagnosis or to perfom a factory restore on the computer, the provider of your PC will be able to help with this, we will contact you in a few days to see how you have progressed with the question and if the advice I gave helped resolve the issue.

    Any advice appreciated

LOL :) such emails are very usual for service people who don t know what the problem could be it of very simple for someone point to the manufacturer of the computer and computer question s say.

Can I ask you what problem do you have?

I assume you are using a 3rd party Bluetooth modem and are not able to install Win 7 usign?
    Am I wrong?

Why this should be a laptop problem?

As mentioned in your message, the question could be between BT and Win 7 modem.
In my opinion the BT modem manufacturer should provide you with assistance.
There may be some problems between BT and Win 7 modem configuration?
    Who knows.

Are you able to connect other devices BT the A100? Yes? Well in this case, the battery of BT is installed correctly.
Otherwise I would recommend reinstalling the BT stack and set it up again.

  • Satellite A100-163: audio problem after installing Win XP - SOLUTION

    Hello

I reinstalled Windows XP on this laptop Toshiba A100-163 and had a little trouble, but the hardest thing was the audio, so I thought I'd post the solution in case anyone else is trying to do!

The drivers supplied by the Toshiba support site did not work. After a bit of research, it seems that the audio drivers are supposed to be integrated into Windows: "Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio". But I don't it would work.

The solution was to install XP Service Pack 3!
I didn't not use Windows update, but instead downloaded and installed the "Windows XP Service Pack 3 Network Installation Package for IT professionals and developers. Then, after a restart, the Hardware Wizard found is come and properly installed audio drivers.

    Hope this helps someone!

  • Satellite A100 - update BIOS problem with phlashnt.sys and Vista 64

I downloaded the upgrade of BIOS (file S10V600.exe) for my Toshiba Satellite A100-437 (PSAA8). When I try to launch it I get the answer:
    "Unable to load driver.
    ... \PHLASHNT. SYS
    ...
This driver has been blocked form load.
    Error code: 1275 "
(I rolled points instead of less interesting part of this message.

My system is Vista Business 64 - bit SP1.

I turned off User Account Control (in fact it the first thing I did after installing Vista ;)).
And just to be safe, I also tried to right click on the S10V600.exe file and choose "Run as Administrator".
I was using the admin account.

Nothing did. Always the same window with the above message appeared.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Concerning

Maybe it's because you have installed Vista 64-bit?

You may need to use XP or Vista 32 bit update of the BIOS.

    Hello

I recently bought a 1 GB SD card and tried to plug it into my A100-163 built-in 5-in-1 card reader. Nothing appears in my computer. I tried to go to the Device Manager and, under "drives" "Secure Digital Storage Device" with a bit of yellow! Select this option. I tried updating the driver Module SD, but whenever I do that the installer comes up with an error, basically saying he can find SD Secure Module.msi. He tries to find in a dark temp folder that involves me Installer is not extracted properly.

Can someone help me read my SD card? Help, please!

UPDATE: on the occasion of the strange, it appears in my computer as "Secure Digital Storage Device. When I double click on it, it says:

    Thank you.

    Hello Mike

One thing confuses me. If the unit has the multi card reader factory settings must be configured correctly. You use your own installation of the OS?

In any case, try to remove device from digital storage secure from Device Manager, then restart the device.

    Hi all

There is a problem with my Satellite A100-906:

After having lit - Toshiba page appears - that the loading Windows XP page - more than a black screen with a cursor (the touchpad moveable)... and nothing more.

That's what I tried without success:

Detach the battery for over an hour
Start the computer with battery detached
    Change the default BIOS settings
Start in Safe Mode - the same black screen with 'safe mode' legends in the 4 corners of the screen.

    Please help with this.

    Hello

According to your message, the screen of the laptop BIOS is visible and also the Windows screen.
I think that it s not a hardware problem but a software problem.
Maybe your operating system is confusing until you think about using the Toshiba Recovery disk and to restore the system?
I mean you already tried the passage without danger and she didn't so in my opinion, the next step should be the new installation of the OS
    Check it out!

  • Satellite A100-163 - Win8 Ati Display Driver need

    Hi all!

I can't find the display driver for windows 8 (last for Windows 7). I know that this laptop is old, but maybe its possible to get the same old driver supporting Windows 8?

Windows 8 work perfect on Satellite A100 so much faster than XP. One problem in this driver.
Maybe someone can make old driver capable of working on Windows 8?

You are right. Laptop is too old and designed for Windows XP Home edition. Toshiba supports much more recent laptops than A100.

I think you expect too much of this old piece of hardware. In my opinion, you should get Win7 32 bit working on it.

  • I can't finde the recovery of my Satellite A100-163 disc

My A100 does not - can not find the recovery disk. Can I use my A60 on my A100 - 163 laptop recovery disk?

Sorry, but you can t use disk recovery of the A60. It will not work.

You can order a new Toshiba Recovery disk:
    https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/

Or you go to a FSA (authorized service provider) to get a new:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported downloads & => find an ASP.

You can also use an original disc from Microsoft, but here, you install all the drivers manual and time consuming.

  • BT device detection not working no-Satellite A100 & LG mobile

I connected my new LG mobile for my toshiba A100 running windows XP pro Service Pack 3.

However when I try to send files from my pc to my phone and use the wireless transfer, the pc can't find my phone again through discovery - even if the PC tells me that the phone and pc are connected.

I also tried to transfer files via the interchange of information - but again no luck.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Did you check your cell phone if it has a setting to make it detectable or not?
If so, then put it in discovery mode and try again.
You have just to make sure tried the following:
Start "Bluetooth information interchange" - Bluetooth - DeviceDiscovery
and then I tried to send a file by OPP (Obex Push Profile)?
What happens if you try to send a picuture of the phone to the laptop - how?

  • Map satellite A100 - 163 ATI x 1400 - 128 or 256 MB?

It is said in the specifications of its 128 MB more than 128 MB. How to do the extra 128 MB? Is it automatic or is it in the BIOS?

    Thank you

    Hello

This device was shipped with a X 1600 and X 1400 graphics card.
    I know that the ATI mobility Radeon X 1400 supports 128MB and the X 1600 256 MB.
I guess that the same manual was delivered for both units with a different hardware configuration.
