Satellite A100-233 does not start Win XP

Hello

When I was working on my A100-233 it suddenly hung up, only the touchpad worked. I try Ctrl Alt Del, but no use. After that the laptop start peeping (a long peep) until I stopped it by power.
When I restart, the windows did not start (black screen) even in safe mode (it listed some files and stop there).

Finally, I tried to re - install windows by its restore CD. Stop the CD after loading and display 'pleas wait. "
Also, I try to start MS-DOS form ok. But there is no hard drive (C: D: E :) nothing.)

But the BIOS recognizes the hard drive, when I connect my hard drive to a USB port on a different computer, it worked, I saw all the data.

So what happens on my laptop.

So in my opinion there would be something wrong with the hardware.
Maybe it's something wrong with the HARD drive partition table or the memory as you know it is always difficult to say what might be wrong s s.

As San Remo said an attempt to set the BIOS default settings and check if the HARD drive is correctly recognized.
Then format the drive HARD integer (delete all partitions) and try to reinstall Win OS.
In your case, I will try to reinstall the operating system from the original CD of MS Windows XP too.

If you fail the pieces of unique equipment as the RAM and the HARD drive must be verified.

Good luck

I have a Toshiba Satellite A100-011, which is almost 5-6 years. It suddenly started to behave abnormal.

First of all, I started to get a 1-2 sec black screen when he was running. The screen was on and off occasionally.

After a few days, I could not started upward from my windows xp sp3 operating system. I tried to start in safe mode with networking to see if I had a few spy, virus or something. I ran avast, hijact, ad-aware and some more, but not found anything.

Later, I tried to format my laptop with a xp professional, but this time I can't see any reflection that passes more fun running and a black screen. I just got a black screen at the beginning and it does not start.

I plugged on a television screen, and here I have started. I have re-installed all the drivers and formatted, but all I get is a black screen on my laptop at the beginning.

What should I do now? Do you think I have a problem with my screen of HW or a driver problem with nvidia geforce go 7600? Maybe I'm missing something?

Thanks in advance for all replies.

If you can see the picture on the TV there are a few s laptop display problem. Y at - it some problem connection or display itself.

You want to fix it yourself? You can disassemble the laptop?
I mean if you have any experience with this kind of things that you should seek professional help.

    2. HARD drive removed and reconnected.
    3. check the HARD drive if it is damaged, but it is not.
4A tried to boot from the Windows XP cd and install it but it crashes

I visited a technisian but he couldn't fix it.
He told me that the BIOS is corrupted or crashed. Maybe I should replace somehow.

    Is this possible?
    How?

    Thank you

It is for the Satellite A105 (PSAA2U) Bios Update, you can test the file at your own risk.

A text readme file is located in the folder, follow the instructions.
Download the Bios file from the link and copy it to a USB key, go into you Bios and this flash file.

  • Satellite A100-383 does not start - not battery

    Hello.

    I have an old Toshiba Satellite A100 - 383.
Recent months its battery will remain as defendant for 20-25 minutes.

OK, that's an old laptop, it's normal, I thought... I connected the laptop to the grid and I haven´t you have any problem. I stayed several hours with the laptop with no problems.

But yerstarday, the laptop was closed suddenly and now, do not start. I see that the battery symbol flashes 11 times.

So I have a few questions:

1 - this laptop, works not connected to the network * without * battery? I thought it was possible...

2 - What is the problem? Battery? Charger? How I know this?

3-If the problem is the battery, how much would a new?

Thank you very much. (and sorry for my English).

    > But, yesterday, the laptop was closed suddenly and now, do not start. I see that the battery symbol flashes 11 times.

Usually the laptop automatically stops due to high temperatures. Is the kind of physical protection, but after a few minutes, you should be able to turn on the device, the led flashing could mean that there is a problem with the electronic power supply on the motherboard means that the motherboard is affected.

You can try after bypass. :
Remove the dough (if it is not already removed), unplug the AC adapter, press the power button / stop for 30 seconds.
Now, plug in the AC adapter and try to turn on the unit.

    > 1 - this laptop, works not connected to the network without battery? I thought it was possible...
Generally, it should be possible to use the laptop without the battery.

    > 2 - what is the problem? Battery? Charger? How I know this?
Not easy to say: If the laptop powers not even using the power adapter, a power adapter or the motherboard might not work. If the two parties must be verified by the technician.

    > 3 - If the problem is the battery, how much would a new?
Don t think that its battery from the laptop should run with adapter only

  • Satellite A100-590 does not start anymoore

    Hello
of course, I deleted some system files and my satellite will not start, if I use the secure mode, the system starts but the Black Guard Office and the cursor flashes in the upper left corner.
Also, I disconnected the battery, not distributed with the power system, the result was the same.

I asked the support of Toshiba, they only referred to the Toshiba Recovery CD but it will be Formate my full disks and I lose all my data.

Does anyone know, where to find a boot cd to repair my xp family?

Thank you very much for your help.

    Hello

    < does="" anybody="" know,="" where="" to="" get="" a="" boot="" cd="" to="" repair="" my="" xp="">

How to purchase the Microsoft Windows CD?
You should know that the Toshiba Recovery CD only contains the ghost of image files and it s not the same as an original CD of Windows!

If you want to make sure your data from the internal HARD drive, I would recommend to put the laptop HARD drive in an external USB box and then you will be able to connect the HARD drive to another computer. Then, you can safe you data on the other HARD drive.

If you want to use external case so I put t see otherwise to use the Toshiba Recovery CD or the Windows CD.

  • Satellite A100-283 - does not start every time so I've created workaround

    Hey guys,.

I have a problem with my A100-283. A few weeks ago the laptop just hung and I stopped it the hard way by removing just the battery (I know, bad idea, shouldn't have done...)

After that it wouldn't start. Or through battery with the adapter is plugged. There was no more noise fan, or beep or anything like that, just a few LEDs + turn signals for a fraction of a second (capslock + numlock and some of the front LEDs).

The next day I tried again - and it booted up fine, everything seemed to work again. But off it again the same problem appeared.
Now there is no more guarantee on the A100, so I disassembled and welded in a new BIOS battery because I thought that this could be the problem.
    After reassembling, the problem remains.

    * But now I found a 'solution' to get the boot the laptop upward once again, *.
It is just that it's really annoying to have to do this every time you start. Sometimes it always starts in the usual way, I think that it always depended on time, it has been turned off. The book has been extinguished, more lucky to start normally.

But back to the workaround. I press the power button, the LEDs blink in no time. I continue to press the button, and after 5 seconds or more, the LEDs blink once (I think that the laptop lights somehow without any fan noise or anything, and if I continue to press on, it stops again). After that, I always do it by pressing the button for 10 seconds. Subsequently, I release her and push it again and it will start up just as it should. This method works 10 out of 10 times.

Now, someone please tell me, is it possible to run the normal way?
An update of the BIOS might help? My BIOS version is 2.00.

Please do not come upwards with the support from Toshiba, as I already don't said, no guarantee, then it would probably be cheaper to buy just one more...

    Hope someone has an idea.

    Greetz

    Elenex

    > More book was off, more a chance to start normally
Perhaps this problem could be related to overheating I mean if the temperature of parts would be more raised then usual, then such question could appear

Unfortunately, but it's the only plausible explanation for me

The issue could also well be linked to the motherboard failure, everything is possible

But I see you don't want to hear about ASP and laptop technicians. Well in this case, you will have to diagnose the failure yourself

    Good luck

  • Satellite A100-912 - does not start

    Hi all...

I have a big problem... After that I open my Toshiba, everything worked well. Purpose to disassemble my phone was reset CMOS password and that went well. While it was open, computer was working fine but after a while, maybe five minutes, computer start making some problems on my head :)

Now I see that after I press POWER / TURN on the computer begins to power, cooler is spining, it attempts to boot from the DVD - ROM, but there is no image on the screen, even when I connect it to the external display. I did not do anything with GPU, it should be OK.
Is there maybe some types of "mine" or how to say, something that must be pressed which should work ok once again before start?

    PLEASE HELP ME

    Hello!

Why did you disassemble your laptop?

However, check if the RAM is placed correctly in the slot and put the new one.

Try to remove the battery and the AC adapter, wait up to 1 hour and then connect the battery and AC adapter. Try restarting the laptop.

In the worst case, there is something wrong with the motherboard and it should be replaced. :(

    Good bye

  • Satellite C650 - Windows does not start correctly

I have a Satellite C650, who does not start, when it lights there are two options, Startup Repair launch which leads to a black screen and mobile arrow, the screen remains like that until you turn it off the button stop (seriously ive left for about 10 hours). The other option is to start windows normally resulting in a blue screen and the laptop restarts itself.

Help me please, make things worse I can't find the box that it came in which contains the guarantee and recovery disc

    Hey Buddy,

You can start your laptop in safe mode? This means that if you press the F8 key before Windows starts and you choose Safe mode can you start Windows?

If this isn't the case I think that it s something wrong with your Windows installation and that's why you need to use the Toshiba Recovery disk to restore to factory settings.

  • Satellite A200-1BJ does not start

    Hello

My Satellite A200-1BJ does not start. After turning on the button it starts only for 1 or 2 seconds (flashing light, work from HDD, fan work, display blank) and then it turns off automatically. Once it happened days before but I didn't have the time to solve it and over the next few days, he has not occurred. Now, I tried to launch it more than 20 times and it still won't start.

I tried only with full battery and also only with the power adapter. I removed the HDD, RAM, keyboard, DVD, speakers, display and a few other connector under the keyboard and it still does not start and it shuts down after 1-2 seconds each time.

In recent months he sometimes exploded due to overheating during work so I cleaned the dust inside.

No problem with the motherboard or power?

    Thanks for help.

Hmmm... on this virtual path, it is not easy to say what the problem is. described behavior is the same as in cases when the BIOS is dead after failed BIOS update installation.

Of course, it's mainboard problem but what exactly, it is not easy to say. For me, this looks like faulty BIOS.

Have you installed any updates or anything that may be responsible for this?

  • Why Satellite Pro A300 does not start when you press the power button?

Suddenly my new Satellite Pro A300 does not start correctly when you press the power button. The situation is the following: when I press the power button is displayed the opening of Toshiba (Leading Innovation) and the disappers image quickly. Then there is a black screen for about 30 seconds. There is a rectangular frame with the text Microsoft Corporation under. And nothing happens however long wait.

In order to get with the trial starting I then shut down the computer by pressing the power button until the computer turns off. ("The hard way to close")
Now, I press the power button shortly to turn on the computer. Then, the computer starts normally with the photo to open Toshiba and after a few seconds, I wonder to open the computer in safe mode or in normal mode. I now choose to open in normal mode and the computer opens normally and is ready to work.

What should I do to get a normal departure procedure?

When the laptop starts normally (after choosing normal mode) stop your laptop properly using START > shut down option. Next launch should be normal.

When the OS is moving towards the low irregularly will always ask you how to start this new (secure or normal mode).
The same thing happen on my Satellite A300.

I tried to take out the battery for the afternoon, but no effect

    Any suggestions?

It looks like a dead last.
The P200 is a new series and I think that the guarantee is valid. Then contact the ASP in your country and ask for help.

  • Satellite A100-383 does not - the battery is not

    Hi all

I own a satellite A100-383 (PSAARE) that does not start when the battery is totally empty, or if I leave without the battery of the day to the next. The battery will charge not façade is and all the lights are off. I should always have a load on my battery and don't let not unplugged more than 2 days.

If for some reason, my battery was completely empty, Plug and unplug the power supply from the wall outlet would make all the lights increase and charge the battery again.

Unfortunately, I went on vacation and I forgot my pc unplugged and it does not charge or turn on. ? The headlights are off. Tried my dear old method to connect the unit several times with battery and without it with no luck... I could see a connection for a second or two, but I wasn't fast enough to plug in and they are off.

I would be so grateful to you all if you give me a help to put it on my pc. Once I have it on the load and back I'll buy a new battery for sure.

I look forward to reading your advice.

    Thank you all in advance!

  • Satellite M30-107 does not start successfully after using recovery disk

    Hello

I recently got my hands on a toshiba Satellite M30-107 laptop second hand and decided to freshen it.
I used the toshiba recovery disk, but after that the laptop is no longer support windows.

When turned on it shows booting Toshiba disc for about a second then goes to a screen blank and freezes.
When turned on, once again, a screen will appear an error by stopping and offer the opportunity to start in SafeMode etc but choose one of the options causes the machine to freeze.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

    Thank you
    JT

    Hello

Sounds a little like the laptop does not start because of the problem of Windows software
You did not recover the M30 with the original Toshiba that was provided with this device M30 recovery CD?

I may be wrong, but to me it looks like a recovery CD incorrect has been used and an image with drivers not compatible m has been installed

You can try to install the OS of Microsoft Win XP original CD and could check if it would be possible to get the notebook ruin using own BONE.

In this case we (you and me ;)) might know if this problem could be related to hardware or software.

    Good bye

  • Satellite C660-2EL does not start

    Hi guys,.

After a few days full of frustration here I am.

I am working on a friends Satellite C660-2EL
He was stuck in the endless loop of boot Win 7 and would not be recovered by any means.

So I decided a format was the way to go.
After the format using partition magic everything's fine.
I reinstalled Win 7 and the installation was also fine. Once the installation is complete, and it's a reboot that I decided to jump into the BIOS and change the order of boot if I put the CD Drive first. If after changing the settings and then save and quit this crap won't start at all now, no CD HD or anything else.

The toshiba screen flashes upward, but when I hit F2 now it freezes just tell to get into Setup.
When I try to hit F12 the screen goes back to the blinking cursor.
If I press anything I get the white screen with the cursor.

I saw a video on you tube to reset the CMOS, I tried it work with no luck.

    Any ideas guys?

    Hello

You want to say you have a cursor blinking in the upper left corner and the unit does not start CD or HARD drive?
The blinking cursor is above all a sign of failure of the HARD drive.

I recommend that you check the HARD drive with the help of a tool (freeware) called Drive Fitness Test.
This tool creates a bootable disk that scans the HARD drive for malfunctions.

If the HARD drive's fault, it be replaced

  • Satellite P10 554 does not start

    Hello!

First of all, sorry for my bad English

    The problem:

I installed windows XP Professional on my Satellite P10 554.
I bought it on ebay and the seller said that everything goes well with this laptop and the tests when I turn on the laptop saying the same thing.

But after installing XP, it does not start!
It is the boot screen with the blue line that moves. This line moves a little, that it stop and that all the time and nothing happens!
I tried the same thing with XP home, and windows 2000, but it has the same problem!
I really need this phone. I hope someone can help me!

    Christian

    > I bought it on eBay and the seller said that if everything goes well with this laptop and the tests when I turn on the laptop saying the same thing.

You said that the test says it of ok. How did you test it?

    > It's the boot screen with the blue line that moves.

You mean the OS bar which moves while loads the OS. Am I wrong?
Hmm, if you have tested the laptop with Win XP and W2K then I guess that you have installed the two OS on this laptop and it was possible to install it?
    Am I wrong?

Sorry to say but if the laptop is unable to load the operating system the hardware would be a malfunction.
I think you should first check the memory modules, then the HARD drive. Maybe one of the modules does not work correctly or some bad sectors can cause the problem.
