Satellite A100-912 (PSAA9E) a device is missing after installing Vista

Dear,

I recently received a Satellite A100 - 912 (PSAA9E). Windows XP Home was preinstalled operating system. But when I installed Vista Ultimate, the Device Manager shows that a device is missing pilot. Its properties show that it is located on PCI, device 6 7 Bus and function 3.

I downloaded the drivers all listed for the toshiba site system. So, can someone tell me what device it is and where I can find the driver for it? All devices such as the display, sound, modem, lan/wlan, player card, fingerprint reader, buttons of media multi burner Super multi and touch to touch work well.

Hey Buddy,

I Don t really know what device it is, but you can for example try a linux live cd. The live cd lists you start a list of pci devices so you can find that materials are in your machine.

Alternatively, you can perform a search in google for 'list of pci Vista' and you might find some pci list of tools that can help you get information about unknown material thjat.

Welcome them

    Hello Murat

Problem is that you can't find your model of laptop (Satellite A100 - 912 (PSAA9E)) on the Toshiba US Download pages and only you should use is Toshiba Europe page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/

American books have different model description as the European specifications. I checked your other job offers, and I assume you are trying to find the Vista drivers. Am I wrong?

  • Satellite A100 - 153 (PSAA9E) - how to update display drivers?

    Hello!
I need a current display for my ATI Radeon Mobility X 1600 driver in my laptop Toshiba Satellite A100-153 PSAA9E.

I can not install the Catalyst Control Center (and therefore the latest driver). It says to me "this driver is not compatible with your system. Contact the manufacturer.
In the magnificent... download section are the only drivers of 2006 for my X 1600. Anyone know how I can install current drivers? Is it possible to avoid the 'blocking of Toshiba' for display drivers?

    Thanks in advance

    Hey Buddy!

The display on the original ATI site driver is not designed for graphics cards for laptop and so that you can install t. In addition he doesn t have an overheating protection and therefore can damage your graphics card! It s on your own risk!
If you want the ATI driver, you must use Mobility Modder. Then you can install it, but don t forget s about your risks and perils and you will lose the warranty.

The drivers from the Web from Toshiba site definitely work for your laptop then why you want to install a different driver?

    Good luck!

  • Problem of the Satellite A100-912 usb external HARD drive

    Please help guys!

I installed Win 7 32 bit on my laptop Satellite A100-912. Everything works perfectly in addition to having problem reading external usb HDD (disk appears in disk management, but are not accessible). These discs are not defective, because I use them on some other Pcs. Thumb drives are not a problem at all. Tried to use the self-powered USB hub but without success. Not sure if this is a related issue of Bios or a material limitation of this device. Thank you!

    > Everything works perfectly as well as having problem reading external usb HDD (disk appears in disk management, but are not accessible).

The HARD disk appears in disk management, but you see the additional HDD in my computer?

I don't know Mr. what could cause this and he s strange that you cannot access the USB HDD, even if it has been recognized correctly
Maybe you should try updating the chipset driver.
Chipset driver controls the ports of interface USB/so it of certainly worth a try

So first of all, you can try to download the drivers again from the download page of Toshiba here:

And make sure that all windows updates are installed. SP2 is important to be installed for some devices.

  • Satellite A100 - 712 (PSAA9E) - No. TPM or TPM has problem

    Hi all!

Once again, the same problem with the update of the BIOS...

    Quotting there
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/message.jspa?MessageID=121750#121750

"I decided to update the BIOS on my Toshiba laptop Satellite A100 - 712 PSAA9E to the latest version available (6.00).

The installation is completed normally (went through all the steps, wrote to all 21 blocks) without any error, but after the reboot, I noticed that it is now displayed at the Toshiba logo screen.

The blue progress bar moves twice but got caught then about 1/3 of the way through.
To see how bad the damage was, I Press esc at the beginning of the POST and saw that it gives me the right Version of the BIOS (6.00).

He also told me that "no TPM or TPM has problem" and "2039 M RAM Passed system."
It then displays the message "Press to enter SETUP" (which makes the message disappears, but otherwise doesn't do anything.

If I press F2 during the Toshiba logo screen, it replaces the bottom with "Please wait" message and nothing happens"

Sollution "go to ASP" in the footsteps of sollution.

Is there someone who can explain how to use the crisis to Phoenix (PCD) disk?
I did floppy of PCD, replaced BIOS. WPH with my version of BIOS.

After pressing WIN + F and on floppy power begins to work and beeps is my note. After 1 minute - all freez... Same thing with bios.bak - old version of my BIOS made after the beginning of Winphlash.exe...

    Wayting for the answer!

    Hello

I posted this already in another view about a similar BIOS problem.

To me, it seems that something was wrong during the process of updating the BIOS, and if you're lucky, the flashing of the ROM BIOS might help you.

As far as I know that you would need a BIOS version of special rescue and the drive to reflash the module ROM that you do not and therefore, you will need to contact the ASP in your country for assistance.

This isn't a real solution that you expect, but it s an advice how to get a solution
This is why I would recommend contacting the ASP in your country for the control of the laptop

    Good luck buddy

  • Upgrade memory on a Satellite A100-912

I am the owner of a Satellite a100-912 and I want to improve his memory!
As it seems, this model supports only the modules SODIMM DDR2 PC2-4200 (533 Mhz). Before the purchase of a memory module that might regret, I want to know if there will be compatibility problems if I use this module of PC2-6400 DDR2 SODIMM for notebook (800 Mhz).

Will it work, even at low clock speed (533 Mhz), or it's going to be a total waste of money?

As far as I know that the FSB is capable of managing modules to 667 Mhz.
You can use the lower modules (533 Mhz) without any problem but modules with superior Mhz will not work at full speed because of the limit BSF.

So I t recommend buying 800 Mhz modules. First of all, they are not supported and secondly it s waste of money!

  • Cannot install driver LAN/WLAN on Satellite A100 - 289 PSAA9E Win XP

    Hello

I installed Windows XP on a Satellite A100 - 289 PSAA9E, but I can not install the network and WLAN page driver drivers.
I always get the message that no driver regrets were found (I manually chose the directory with the downloaded drivers)

    Can someone help me?
Where can I get the right drivers network controller vor and WLAN card?

    Hello

As much as I know Sam A100 PSAA9E series supports Intel 3945ABG wireless card and also an Intel LAN card.
Driver WLAN can be found here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

On the European driver Toshiba page I could find drivers for Satellite A100 PSAA9E series.
But note; You must choose the Archive in the type of product because it old series.
    There are two different LAN drivers;
    -LAN driver v 9.2.24 for Ethernet Pro1000
    -LAN driver v 8.0.43.0 for Ethernet Pro100

    In order to check both!

  • Satellite A100-590 PSAA9E freezes on the Toshiba start screen after BIOS update

    Hello.

Yesterday, I made an update of the BIOS on my Satellite A100-590 PSAA9E 03Z00QGR with the appropriate flash:

    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_driver_details.jsp?service=EU&selCategory = 2 & selFamily = 2 & selSeries = 153 & selProduct = 624 & langua ge = 17 & selOS = 10 & selType = all & yearupload = & monthupload = & dayupload = & useDate = null & mode = userMachines & search = & action = search & macId = & country = all & selectedLanguag e = 17 & type = all & page = 1 & ID = 58477 & DISO =-1 & driverLanguage = 42

    BIOS - 20070709111839.zip

After flashing, the machine restarted automatically, but unfortunately it keeps now suspended from Thoshiba welcome screen. Also by pressing F2 or F12 will not change anything. It seems that the BIOS is damaged.

I saw that in the BIOS package are delivered the two files (s10gm590.rom and s10pm590.rom) flash. But just the execution of the BIOS590MP.exe SanAntonion10 a .vbs script starts decides which automatically selects and loads a flash file. Maybe she chose the wrong?

What should I do now? Is there a way to restore the BIOS, or do I have to send my laptop?

    Thanks in advance

sounds are really serious. Unfortunately, I can just give you the only clue you will get with each user here in the forum:

Find the nearest authorized service partner (you can find one by using this link: http://209.167.114.38/support/Download/ln_byModel.asp)
and bring your machine. In addition, you must explain the guys what happened so they can do something for you.

  • Satellite A100 - 192 PSAA9: display black stills from time to time

    Hello

    Satellite A100 - 192 PSAA9 with card ATI X 1600.

Despite the fact that I have installed the latest driver on Toshiba support site, screen darkens (off) from time to time for no apparent reason.

I turn off the computer by pressing the button for a few seconds.

When I turn on the computer, the screen is still dark, even if the computer starts.

Only after I take the battery from the computer and on new and then turn on the computer, the screen is OK.

I could not know if it's a hardware or software problem.

Computer is one and a half years.

I wanted to know if anyone has had such an experience before taking the computer to the service center.

Do you use the Toshiba original pre-installed factory image?

  • Satellite A100-237 / PSAA9 - how to enable AHCI (SATA Native mode)?

    Hello

I have the Satellite A100 - 237 (PSAA9) and I would like to activate the AHCI (SATA Native mode). But in the BIOS there is no settings as AHCI or SATA mode.

Is it possible to enable it in any other way (hidden fixing, utility sw)? Or only new special BIOS for this update (I have the latest 5.90) can solve this problem?

    Thank you for the answers.

No response for the last 5 days. Of course, there is no special hidden parameter or BIOS. ;)

As far as I know that there is no hidden settings and also no special BIOS. If something like that exists perhaps for technicians and non-public use.

  • Satellite A100 - 386 (PSAA9E) - support button

    Hello

I would like to learn more about the special keyboard keys. I have 4 large buttons on the left side of my keyboard, maybe 6 under: "(internet, cd/dvd, lecture/pause, stop, retour en arrière/avant)."

I would like to know everything about them: where are they in the control panel? How the Support Button works? How to record TBS are used?

In fact, I would like to make them a job I want: I don't understand why I have 6 button, but only 2 (internet, cd/dvd) in the software 'button '.
(of course, nothing happens whatever I set up in support of the key). Another thing: I have a strange Y instead, if the \ in the path of the Support Button. Is this really?

    Hello

I can understand that you are so curious, but unfortunately no one will be able to give specific answers to your questions. I just write my opinion about it. I hope that you will agree with my opinion.

In any case all these buttons are designed to make notebook easy and also more comfortable to use. As you can see there are two buttons that you can use to start an application and others are designed for a multimedia application.

    To be honest your sentence
    > I do not understand why I have 6 button, but only 2 (internet, cd/dvd) in the software 'button '.
completely confused me. If you see 4 buttons are for multimedia I don't understand why you can't understand that. You can use them with EMP, WMP, and WinDVD.

Exact explanation, how it works, you can find in s operating manuals. Maybe you can tell us how you want to configure all these buttons.
