I now need some drivers (Lan, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB) and wanted to know if I can still use the Vista drivers for the A100 (PSAA8E) available on the Toshiba support site, or should I look XP compatible drivers in other places.

  If you have installed Win XP you use drivers designed for Win XP and not Vista.
  Win XP drivers do NOT work on Vista OS.

  In order to check the Toshiba page if some XP drivers are available.
  If you find not all drivers XP then you have to collect the XP drivers to your own hand

  But I m sure that some XP drivers are on the European driver Toshiba page.

  The other two are very, very dark.

  The brightness of the display can be controlled by the FN + F7 and Fn + F6.
  I think you should install the VAP and buttons of the Support of Flash memory card utility in order to get this to work!

  Check the added value Package and Support Flash Card which are released for Satellite L500 utility or new models of laptops.

  After you have installed Windows 8.1, I can't adjust the brightness of the screen more.  I checked and updated all the drivers and nothing helped.  There used to be a brightness slider in the control panel in the power settings.  It's over now.  I've looked everywhere for a solution, but I can't seem to find it.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Check the screen brightness with preinstalled Vista operating system?

  Before you install other OS like Win XP, you should check that the brightness of the screen has been set at a higher level.

  PS: it could be also a hardware fault as a malfunction of the FL inverter and, therefore, it of really necessary that you check what current functional full Vista OS!
