Satellite A100 - need Vista 64bits Mass Storage Controller & TOS1901 driver
I have a notebook "Toshiba Satellite A100-049" who has the ability to support 4 GB memory (but which came with 2 GB) and I'm unable to find some drivers for it on the site Web of Tosiba. I put a second hard drive in the laptop (although far from my normal 32 bit Vista installation) and test Windows 7 64 bit. I currently have 2 GB of memory. I have most of the drivers, but need:
* Mass Storage Controller
* Unknown Device - TOS1901
* According to the "Action Center", I also need to install "Intel Management Engine Interface". I suspect this is related to the mass storage controller.
I searched the Intel site but without knowing which chipset etc... my laptop uses, it's like looking for a needle in a haystack.
When I installed Vista 32 bit, I had to install the package of value-added and supervisor password utility.
The problem is while I managed to find a value-added Package 64-bit I can't find a Supervisor Password Utility 64-bit.
I understand "Unknown Device - TOS1901" supervisor password average Utility.
Where can I find drivers for 64-bit for this and also the mass storage controller?
Even if they are for another model (but fine installation).
Thank you
PS - If I can't find the drivers I'll send a letter of complaint from Toshiba to sell a laptop capable of 4 GB of memory but absolutely no way to actually do this. Response from Toshiba a while ago (when I asked) had to settle for 3 GB on 32-bit Windows. It is not really satisfactory to lose 25% of your memory.
That was before I had installed 64-Bit Windows.
Hi Brad
As you can see here, nobody can offer the correct answer. Problem is that this model of laptop is not supported for Vista 64-bit and you will be unable to find the Toshiba drivers, tools and utilities that are designed or tested with your model of laptop.
Maybe you can try to install the other laptop satellite model tools, but there is no guarantee that it will work properly.
Sorry :(
Maybe you should use 32-bit Vista support

Satellite A200 - Win 8.1: Mass storage controller yellow question mark
Hello
After the installation of win 8.1 in old Toshiba A200 - everything is ok except the yellow question mark in "Mass storage controller" in Device Manager. So the sd card reader is useless.
Have an idea that is the driver for Win 8.1?
Hello
Please don't get me wrong, but I hope you know how old is A200. Even more recent machines are not supported for Win8.
So, I can understand that you want to use newer OS on this old piece of hardware and if most of the stuff works pretty well, you should be satisfied.
In this case when you use 8 years machine designed for Vista and certainly not taken in charge for Win8/Win8.1... who cares about SD card reader. You know what I mean? ;)Just disable the device in Device Manager and be happy.

The mass storage controller can be the HARD drive controller or the controller of the SD card. I want to download both of them. Here´s a direct page link drivers: http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp

Need for Equium A110-147 mass storage controller
Hello. I have a satellite A110-147 running windows7 ultimate with 2 GB of ram and a 500 g hard drive.
In other devices in Device Manager, I learned that my mass storage controller drivers are not installed. When I try to update the drivers, I am told that drivers could not be found on my computer or on the web.
I would apreciate to help on that if possible please.
Hey,.
If you n t post the seller and IDENTIFICATION of the device it is difficult to say which driver you need
Theoretically, mass storage controller could be linked to the internal card reader module. You can download it from the official website of Toshiba:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.comBut I think that you must find for the Vista drivers as Equium A110 doesn t supports Windows 7, Vista only.
And you must search in * Archives * driver download page because it s an older model. ;) -

Hello
I guess you didn't search in the forum for similar issues? Is this good?
I think that I m straight because I searched the forum and found that Toshiba FAQ doc.+ No driver Windows XP for PCI Memory Controller +.
http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB83023N0000R01.htmHere you can find this text passage:
After the installation of Windows XP, there might be a yellow exclamation by a "PCI memory controller" or * "Mass storage controller" * in Device Manager._Solution: _
This unit is probably the module of Robson former Turbo Memory.
This material will be supported only by Windows Vista.
There is therefore no Windows XP driver. Now, everything should be clear ;)

My cake for laptop with 32-bit Vista preinstalled. But since it has 4 GB of RAM and 64-bit pprocessor I bought Vista 64.

You can find it on the Intel page!
Simply search on the Intel page and you should find the necessary driver!

Recovery disk installs all the drivers, and generally no unknown device should be visible in the Device Manager -
Unposted on Satellite A100-680 mass storage controller
Hello
I have a Satellite A100-680 (PSAA9E) that has worked, XP Home, for about two years. Very satisfied!
I decided to upgrade to Vista Business, which worked very well (actually impressed by the ease of installation). The machine works perfectly, there is only one irritating factor - under Device Manager - other devices I have something called mass storage controller and is not a driver loaded. I tried to locate one, but I have no idea of what to look for.
Vista at one point suggested some Texas Instrument PCI device, but... Let me this way... Fortunately I have not reinstall because I had made a backup of the disc image.
Can anyone give me a tip that I should look for.
Thanks in advance
HansPublished by: Admin
Really nice, your installation of Win Vista worked all right.
For this device not recognized, I also think it's the Texas Instrument card reader.Go: http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com
And download the Flash Media Driver and maybe the SD memory Format. Install them, reboot and the unit must be installed without any problem.

Satellite P200-1DY: need XP drivers - LAN, SM bus and mass storage controller
I have a Satellite P200-1DY running XP - SP2. Where can I find the drivers for Ethernet, storage of buses and the mass of SM controller controller?
Are they 'hidden' in one of the drivers in one of the driver for XP Toshiba site list?
How can I identify what version of laptop I have: PSPB0, B3, B6, etc. ?
Oh. I have already answered in the other thread you posted here in the forum;
http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/message.jspa?MessageID=117816#117816Seems you've discovered what series it is ;)
PS: the SM bus and mass storage controller are communities which are only compatible Vista and so drivers don't exist for the XP operating system

Dave...Hello
I doubt you will find a driver for "mass storage device.
Why, because this feature is only supported by Vista and so drivers XP don t exist.Check this doc from Toshiba:

Satellite M70: Need mass storage controller & card reader driver
First issue: I want to (mass storage controller) driver.
Second question: I have the card reader, but it does not work.First issue: what you need you can find on the download page of Toshiba under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com
Second question: I assume that the material is not installed correctly. For this you must install TI 5 in 1 card reader driver.
If you cannot configure all this use please livery recovery DVD and install OS. After that it all works again.

Satellite A200 23W: XP-> Bluetooth question and mass storage controller
Hello
I have a satellite A200-23W and just installed Windows XP SP2 and the problem is:
1. that i can't see the anyware bluetooth (I istalled the monitor bluetooth from the web site of the Union European toshiba)
2. also, in Device Manager, I see that the mass storage controller needs new drivers but I can't find?
Thank you
Alex
Hello
With regard to the point;
(1) the laptop supports BT certainly then have you installed Bluetooth driver too?
BT monitor is a utility to control BT, but to use the BT, you need the BT stack!(2) this unit is probably the module of Robson former Turbo Memory.
This material is only supported by Windows Vista.
There is therefore no Windows XP driver.See you soon
