Satellite A100 - options to close the lid for the laptop are not available

I have a Toshiba Satellite A100 - it came with Vista - I carefully cleaned the HARD drive and installed XP - I deleted the partitions etc. and started with a HDD in a perfect state of cleanliness.

Then, I downloaded all Toshiba drivers that are available for my model.

When I close the lid it still fully powered - there is no option to go into sleep mode, Hibernate etc in the options of "close cover" - the only option is the "status quo".
How can I get the standby extended/standby/power options back?

Satellite L - water damage and the laptop does not light

I don't know if this is the right forum for this, but I was just wondering if someone could give me some advice. My brother spilled some water on my laptop 3 days ago (argh!). He immediately turned off and won't start up again. I stamped it towards the top as long as I could, removed the battery and positioned in a V shape to try to help dry. It is still not started. When I plug in the adapter, the screen remains blank, but there is a very low humming noise and the lights flash:

The power light flashes green very clearly
Battery green LED flashes weakly
The hard drive LED blinks green VERY weakly

I'm really hoping that the laptop is not dead and I'll at least be able to recover my hard drive, but it seems unlikely. I'd appreciate really any advice that anyone can give me in regard to what could be wrong or how I can fix this problem.

I agree with Luke and the best way is to contact you an ASP. They can check the laptop and tell exactly which parts must be Exchange or not.

Satellite A100-158 connects to the WLAN but not to internet

I have a Satellite A100-158. It is used to disconnect frequently the network wireless in my house, but now even if the connection still appears on the program of Intel PROset/wireless and is shown as connected, I can not access the internet more. I don't know what the problem might be that the wireless signal is excellent.

For the moment, I plugged the Ethernet cable to the router to access the internet. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be the problem?

I can't provide the exactly the solution to this problem of WiFi, but I think you should check the whole parameters on the WLan router.
First, you must remove all security settings such as encryption key and MAC address filtering.

Then check the settings of the laptop. If you use a Wlan configuration tool as Utility Intel ProSet windows has the configuration option must be disabled!
In addition, access the Wlan properties and check the TCP/IP protocol settings.

Satellite A100 - line number on the keyboard does not work when you enter the password

I have an A100 / Pro A100 series satellite laptop, what ever that means.
Anyway, when you turn the laptop on and asked for a password, I am unable to put in number.
It appears to the integer line, including BACKSPACE don't work.

I can use the mouse to select and remove, but that leaves a mark of character in the password box.
Other buttons work except the row number.

If I need to connect an external keyboard to verify where I connect (if I can)?

Lightroom 5: excerpts from performance, but the boxes are not available for import in fact

Help! I took a bunch of pictures last night and that they import into LR. I've been using this same camera (5dIII) and installation of LR (version 5.0, camera RAW 8.0) for more than a year.

I tried to cope with the files on the hard disk through picture Capture and then import from the finder. Image capture has been fine with it, but they will not yet import into LR.

Saw her look fine, but gray and no check box. (see photo).

When I go to the finder and arrow through them, funky look previews. (see another photo).

The sensors are not available "Xperia Z2"
