  Unfortunately the 64 bit Vista drivers are not available for this series of Satellite A100 PSAAR.

  Last chance would be installing some drivers unique from other series of laptops that are equipped with the same features.

  Try the driver Vista 64-bit of the other series and maybe some unique drivers will run.

  The Pioneer DVD - RW DVR-K17A in my A200 began regularly defect when writing on a DVD. We will read DVD successfully and has no problems reading or writing to CD. This just started happening.   Akuma is right. Old laptop models are not supported in Vista. Maybe you will be able to end of some googling arround drivers but toshiba doesn't offer any specific tool of toshiba or utility for this model of laptop.

  You have already installed Vista? What it looks like in Device Manager?

  I have a Satellite A100-413. As some or most of you know, this laptop is equipped with Harman/Kardon speakers and requires software SRS Trusound use the capabilities of the speakers.

  I used to have Windows XP on my laptop and speakers were running without any problem.

  However, last weekend, I opted for Vista (business). I found most of the required drivers for Vista. However, the only pilot that I can't find is one for my speakers. I installed the audio drivers, but need an additional driver for the srs.

  There is no any driver for the speaker s feature. What you're talking about is just a tool that allows different sound settings. As far as I know that his tool is called virtual sound. I have it on my Satellite M70 too.

  I checked the Toshiba download page and virtual sound really isn't there. I don't understand not why, but in the past, I noticed that the missing things appear sooner or later. Check the download page from time to time. Maybe you'll find it soon.

• Satellite A100-407: need drivers XP

  I just bought a Satellite A100-407, unfortunately with win vista operating system. Like most of my existing software does not again, I created another partition and installed win xp as second operating system.

  Now, my problem is that no driver cd have been attatched to the laptop. The drivers have been installed to vista, but where can I get them for win xp now.

  The toshiba support page does not list the model A100-407 to download driver. It would be great if someone can help.

  I recently had to do a clean install of my Satellite A105-S4064 and have had problems to get the right drivers for it.

  On the Toshiba site, it lists only 4 drivers for XP for my model, even if that's what it came installed with. The video driver list and sound do not yet work for me.

  I need drivers for the modem, LAN, video, Audio, please.

  Any help would be a great help!

  On the page of the Toshiba driver we you can find the right driver for XP graphics card.
  At the moment the page provides a display driver nVidia GeForce (v83.02, 19/01/2006)

  I also found a driver of his right. It s a Realtek audio driver.
  If you need a more recent version, then I recommend to visit the site Web of Realtek and download the newest one.

  But note; the XP SP2 operating system needs and before install you the audio driver you must first install the Microsoft Hotfixes; KB888111 and KB835221
  After the installation of these two patches, you can follow with another audio driver installation.

  It also seems that this notebook would support an Intel PRO/100 VE Network Connection - 10/100 Base-TX Lan card
  So, you can visit the Intel page to get the right Win XP driver for this Lan chip.

  It will be interesting to know what country you purchased your laptop Portege.
  In any case if you need drivers always check Toshiba support page which is part of the country where you bought your laptop.

  I checked Toshiba Canada support under http://209.167.114.38/support/Download/ln_bymodel.asp page and it's listed Portege M500. I hope this will help you.
