Hello

First of all, you should check in Device Manager if the CD/DVD drive can be recognized correctly. If there is no yellow exclamation, then the software (driver) does not run correctly!

In such cases, it s advisable to remove the ODD (CD/DVD drive) Device Manager and restart the laptop. After restarting again the operating system should recognize and must initialize the disk again.

Please check first!
Best regards

    Hi Artur

Try to remove the drive from Device Manager and reboot your device. After restarting the OS should reinstall the drive. Then try to play the DVD.
Well, I also read a few topics in the forum a similar car problems and it seems that you are driving can has a calibration problem. In this case, you should replace the disk. I think that it isn't a reason to be angry. Your device is under warranty and all replacements must be done for free.

The Pioneer DVD - RW DVR-K17A in my A200 began regularly defect when writing on a DVD. We will read DVD successfully and has no problems reading or writing to CD. This just started happening. By looking at the Disk Manager device indicates that the driver is fine. The media I use are fine as burn discs from the same spindle without any problem on another PC.

  • Satellite A110-156: DVD - RW is vice

    Hello

    I have a satellite A110-156; the DVD - RW drive is defective;

Toshiba told me to send it to a repair station to swap the drive (costs high; about 150)
I can do myself, but what is a compatible player?

    This model has the LG gsa-t10n, but I can't find a store that sells one;
There are newer models like the LG gsa t40n but idon't know if it is compatible

Is there maybe a list somewhere with compatibel readers; the manual does not say much about it.

    Thanks in advance

    Werner

Of course you can replace the CD/DVD of yourself.
You only need the compatible CD/DVD player.

I think that your user manual should provide some info what CD/DVD drive would be compatible.

  • Need of recovery of the Satellite A110-228 DVDs

I need a recovery dvd for this laptop because he won 't longer boot.
    Can I order or download?
    Thank you

Your Satellite is quite old and I think that you can not order more. Recovery image is not downloadable, so this option is also not a solution for you.

You can try to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask them if they have this disc.
What you can do is to install a clean operating system. All the necessary drivers, tools and utilities that you can find on Toshiba download page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > download & support.

If you have any other questions you are welcome.

  • Windows Vista does not recognize my DVD player. It is a Pioneer DVD - RW DVR - 110 d ATA Device.

I looked at the information system and noted that there is a device error.  After checking for a solution online, this is the message I got:

Windows was able to successfully install device driver software, but the driver has encountered a problem when he tried to run. The problem code is 39.

    Hello

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both

  • Satellite M105-S3041 DVD player

Anyone know, which brand of DVD player should have Satellite M105-S3041, because in my PIONEER DVD-RW-DVR-K16A comp.is and I think that this driver is not DVD SuperMulti.

Why you just don't check s manuals for your laptop. There you should find a list of all the sides built into your laptop model. There are also list with all compatible dimensions. Most models of laptops come with a few different sides and it is possible that your laptop is delivered without player Super multi.

BTW: have you bought new and original book packed or maybe used one?

  • Satellite P25-S520 - DVD player does not work properly

Difficulty of DVD player or buy the external drive

My DVD player does not work properly, in fact it can never work properly. Recently, I tried to back up my PC on a DVD using Norton 360. Norton did not recognize that the DVD was present. Then I tried to write a text file on a DVD and was a failure. DVD + R and DVD-R media were found to be (Maxwell 16 X).

I could have probably lived with this however, I received a copy of Dragon NaturallySpeaking version 10 on a CD and my Toshiba would not recognize it. I tried the CD in my laptop nearby and it was recognized.

An attempt to update the driver has also fails.

I was able to copy a CD of music last night so that at least works properly.

Does anyone know how can I fix? The important part is to be able to load my new program.

Research on some forums I found that other people have had problems with the Pioneer drive. If the drive can't be fixed, I'm not adverse to buying an external DVD drive. Unfortunately, where I live there is no brick and mortar stores selling external drives and I prefer to avoid the hassle of getting a drive online and discovering that it does not work with my Toshiba. Can someone suggest an external USB drive that will read and write CD and DVD and is certain to be compatible with my Toshiba?

    Thanks for any help,

Any external USB CD/DVD drive will be compatible with your laptop.

However, you won't be able to boot from CD (run recovery for example) If you are using an external drive.

So, your best option would be to replace the internal drive with a Toshiba drive designed for the laptop. Call an ASP and request a quote.

  • Satellite A110-231-CD/DVD drivers for Windows 7

    Hi all

I bought my laptop Toshiba Satellite A110-231 in Spain in January 2007. Provided with Windows XP, it has created a "Windows Vista ready" label. I installed Windows Vista and the components of the computer worked well. Now, I just installed Windows 7, but the CD/DVD drive (Pioneer K16A) not be recognized. Guess Windows Vista and Windows 7 have the same system requirements, so how can I I make my DVD player work on this OS?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

What do you mean by saying not recognized?
The CD/DVD drive is not visible in the Device Manager or what?

What the BIOS has said? The STRANGE is recognized in the BIOS?

Generally, the CD/DVD drive using the own Microsoft drivers and it should work with Win XP, Vista and Win 7.

    Hi Luis

This can really be a problem with the hardware of the CD/DVD drive
Maybe the ODD died and only replacement players will help you.

But as Akuma already said, you must contact the ASP for and check.
Guys should be able to provide clarification, perhaps there is a little chance for fixing without replacement.

    Good luck

  • Satellite A110: I want to play a DVD but it says: not compatible

    Hi I have a question.
I have a toshiba satellite a110. But when I want to play a dvd, it says:
    is not compatible...
    :(

Can't watch movies, how to... :(

I have installed some software dvd - ram also uninstalled, restarted the laptop.

    Someone?

    Hello

Are you using the Windows operating system that has been preinstalled on the A110 Sat?
AFAIK almost all Toshiba laptops come with WinDVD program.
I also assume the Sat A110 supports this software and you must use it to play the DVD s.

One question; What DVD did you play? An original or a copy?
The portable DVD Player supports different DVD region code settings.

Please check if the region code that was chosen on the CD/DVD drive supports your DVD media!

For example; you will not be able to play the DVD we s if the region has been set for region 2

  • Driver DVD-RAM on Satellite A110-149 problem

I recently received my copy of Express Upgrade to Windows Vista and I installed it as described in the user guide.

The first time Windows Vista ran normally and I had no problem with my DVD-RAM. But then, after having upgraded from windows it asked me to reboot. When I rebooted my computer Windows Vista does not recognize the DVD-RAM driver.

I searched the Web from Toshiba site, this driver but I couldn't find it. I just find drivers Windows XP, which could not be installed.

Do you have anyone had the same problem, or knows where I can get this driver?

    My laptop is a Satellite A110 - 149 (PSAB6E) and the DVD-RAM is a CARPET * a DVD-RAM UJ - 841S

    Hello

usually, a DVD-RAM needs no driver, it must be recognized automatically. Have you ever tried to remove the drive in system properties and restart the system?

Windows should install correctly after that. If this isn't the case, please make a comment.

  • Satellite A300 - search driver for Pioneer DVD - RW DVRKD08A ATA Device

    Hello

    I have a Satellite A300.
My problem is that the driver for the Pioneer DVD - RW DVRKD08A ATA Device does not work. I have research the Toshiba site for a new driver, but I can't find.

    Can someone help me?

I put t understand why you need this driver?
What do you mean by player don t work?

The Windows operating system contains such driver! It s an own drivers from Microsoft and the ODD should be recognized automatically.
In your case, you should first check if the CD/DVD drive is recognized in the BIOS.
If it s not the case then your new ODD is not compatible or there is a hardware failure.

If the BIOS recognizes the drive CD/DVD correctly, but if the ODD is not correctly in the Windows Device Manager (yellow exclamation point) then this could be the problem of registry.
In this case, you should remove the reader of CD/DVD from the list of devices and must restart the new laptop
