Satellite A200-1 s 5 - cannot install driver LAN after installation of Windows 7

I have a laptop Toshiba A200-1 s 5, serial number: X7357433K. I just installed Windows 7 and downloaded and installed all the drivers of Toshiba laptop. I have no problem device in the system information screen.

In Device Manager, the cards I have that the "Intel (r) PRO/Wireless' network. When I install the downloaded driver for LAN (lan-20091103092515) it says "Realtek LAN Driver V7.003.0522.2009", but I can't not under network adapters - I don't know where he's going? I can't find everything Realtek device in Device Manager. Needles to say works Wireless LAN, LAN does not work.

Connectivity doctor shows Wireless Lan, Dial-up Modem and Bluetooth, but no LAN. Trying to load the driver from Realtek - does not help. -message: the device does not work properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device (Code 31)
I even tried to install from Realtek and update the driver for lan-20091103092515 - same error Code 31.

Hey Buddy,

You have an unknown device in Device Manager? This could be the missing LAN card

Also check if there are devices hidden in Device Manager. So open the Device Manager and go to view > show hidden devices.

Normally, you should now see the LAN card and then you can update the driver.

As much as I know Sam A100 PSAA9E series supports Intel 3945ABG wireless card and also an Intel LAN card.
Driver WLAN can be found here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

On the European driver Toshiba page I could find drivers for Satellite A100 PSAA9E series.
But note; You must choose the Archive in the type of product because it old series.
    There are two different LAN drivers;

    > ATI Mobility Catalyst can not download because the computer doesn't have any compatible hardware and / or software. The graphics driver is not supported. Contact the manufacturer of the laptop video card updates.

The graphics card driver can be downloaded from the page of European driver of Toshiba.
You must choose the Toshiba page because it s tested and bear the GPU protection against overheating.

    > Unfortunately, the DVD is unable to recognize the drive. The firmware is not updated on the Web site of the manufacturer. Tip: TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L633A Windows 7 system

    Check this firmware:
    [Update firmware TS-L633A | http://support1.toshiba-tro.de/tedd-files2/0/frmwre-20090622142416.zip]
It s for the TS-L633A reader.
This FW solves the problem with: "sometimes not being able to write on DVD + R media.
This problem occurs only on DVD + R media, other media type have no problem.

Also I recommend that you test various CDs and DVDs from different manufacturers.

  • Cannot install driver vga after windows recovery

I have an acer aspire 5520g.

For a long time, I was unable to install any except the generic vga driver.

Now, I used the recovery tools to reset the computer to factory settings. When you try to get into windows for the first time, I get a message of 'windows install' the pc restarted unexpectedly or encountered an error. This time after the installation.

I found that I can use 'SHIFT F10' to open a line of cmd, and there use devmgmt.msc to access Device Manager, where I find that the only missing factor is my vga driver.

No matter which driver, I'm trying to update the standard / driver nvidia it generates a message: Windows found the driversoftware, but an error has occurred when trying to install, this devcice is incorrectly (code 1) configured.

I found that some drivers for all devices can be installed, same removal work already pilot will result in not being able to reinstall the driver again.

I hope someone can help, provide more information of system if necessary.

  • Satellite A200-1CR: Question about upgrade HARD drive

    Hi all...
I would like to ask something...

I have toshiba Satellite A200-1cr with 120 GB HARD drive...

I would like to change my HARD drive. I found a disk hard 2.5 "with 250 GB.

    My questions are the following:

    (1) my knowledge of the workstations are very very good. Is it easy to change myself?
I guess it is, but I want to be sure... I guess that is on IDE, right? No SATA at all?

    (2) if I changed it I lose my warranty?

    (3) can I give my laptop Toshiba in Greece official store and let them make the change?
May I take in an informal shop, too?

    (4) can be put on the laptop 2 x 250 GB such US new computers laptops from toshiba?
Is there enough space in the laptop for such a change?

    Thank you in advance...

    Hey Buddy

It is good that ask you the question.

    (1) the Satellite A200-1CR supports SATA and no IDE interface and that's why you need a SATA HDD. It of really not difficult to replace the HARD drive and as far as I know, you should find a few details in the user manual. There is a useful statement and photos that explain the entire procedure.

    (2) hm AFAIK the drive replacement HARD will not void the warranty, and has no effect on the State of security.

    (3) you can also contact the maintainer authorized Toshiba in your country for a HARD drive replacement, but in my opinion that is not really necessary because the replacement is not very sensitive. As I said above, check the user manual.

    (4) I don t think that your laptop will support 2 x 250 GB HARD drive.
Of course, there are a few other series laptops which are abele to support two hard drives but I n t think that your laptop A200 support.

Just a small comment on the new HARD drive:
The fact is that some more HARD drive are not supported by the BIOS. I mean an upgrade to 120 GB to 250 GB drive HARD is really a leap one possibly your BIOS would not recognize the HARD drive correctly.
So I recommend to test the HDD first before buying.

    Good bye
