  I would say that the dysfunction of the LCD or part as FL-ups or something like that.

  I think that you shouldn't t waste time for an investigation and should contact the ASP to the extent possible.
  Guys should check the laptop and if necessary should replace defective parts.

  Whenever I try to use Skype all I get is a blue screen where my webcam should be. I checked to see if my webcam doesn't work at all, and all I get is the web cam iniliziation failed Please check device and restart.

  I tried this but nothing helped. I also tried to reinstall the camera and update the drivers. Still nothing.
  Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I was told that if I update the BIOS it might be useful, but I also said that this could screw up the laptop completely...

  In front of me, I have Satellite P500 and I use it almost a year now. Since the first day I use it with Win7 preinstalled original and Skype.
  Up to now, I have strength to have one problem with cam or Skype. Everything works fine.

  Are you using the original pre-installed OS? Since when you noticed this problem?

  When I turn the power on the Panel before right lights are on and I can hear the fan and something about loading, but then I get two beeps sounds and nothing ever shows up. No BIOS, no start menu, no Toshiba splash, nothing. I read in the media FAQ comments holding backspace or take out the battery, but it did not help.

  I've had it for 3 years now and use it quite often, I guess that the motherboard has finally just blame but I want to be more secure. If I have to redress might it be a way I could back up the data on it?
