Satellite A200 - no audio device after the awakening of the mode 'sleep' or 'putting into hibernation'

I own a Satellite A200 laptop computer with Windows Vista.

Sometimes when I put my laptop in 'stand by' mode or 'Hibernate', he wakes up with no audio device. (Error - no installed audio device). The problem is solved by restarting my computer, or by placing it in the back to 'stand by' and turning it back on.

I reinstalled my OS using the recovery cd - and the exsists yet problem.
(Version 1.30, Audio bios driver ver. 6.0.1.5374)

Is this a known problem or is it just my computer? I'm afraid that it is a hardware problem. (The laptop is less then 1 month).

Thanks (and sorry for my "rusty" English :-()

    Hello

You are able to change the brightness in Power Options Win 7?

    Check this box:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD12017W0001R01.htm

You can choose a power plant that is enabled in the profile of power you use.
You will see the option to adjust the brightness of the plan.
Set the control to the right to increase the brightness. Do this for setting battery and area setting

In addition, you should go to advanced-> display settings

  • P2715Q, Windows size and location change after the mode 'sleep'

    Hey

After that the monitor wakes up fashion 'sleep', all the windows are in the upper left corner and in different size just before going to sleep. It makes me crazy. Did not help. Found a few registry hacks key, but it can't be that difficult.

    I use following:

View P2715Q Dell, Windows 10 Pro GTX 1070

    Everything is up-to-date.

Really hope you can help me!

    #update 1

It has something to do with how long the mode 'sleep'. I set the Sleep mode function 1 minute, whereas the display 'falling a sleep' and woke up after 30 seconds or more. Everything was in place.

This isn't a question of monitor. It is a video card driver problem. Tiles from 1920 x 1080 uses two P2715Q sewn together by the video card driver to get the resolution of 3840 x 2160. So if the video card driver is slow to initialize the awakening from sleep mode, all open windows and icons are tossed at top left. We see this issue "tile" on AMD and Nvidia drivers. All you can do is to continue testing video card drivers latest when they are released.

    Workaround solution =
    * Spend 90% of your icons to the taskbar or the far left background
    * Close all open windows before allowing computer standby modes

    ....

    Hello

As far as I know on the Satellite A200 BIOS should be updated to the version of the BIOS Win XP if Win XP has been installed on the machine.

Update you the BIOS to the version of Win XP? If this is not the case, this->.

I searched a bit on the pages of knowledge of MS for some details about this error and found this page:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB; EN-US; q222973 &

Microsoft means that this error could be related to the failure of hardware.

This could be fair and I think that in this case, you must contact the ASP in your country to verify the keyboard and the touchpad.
Maybe the parts should be replaced.

    See you soon

    Hello

    Regarding the point * 1: *.
The "PCI memory controller" or "Mass Storage Controller means the former Turbo Memory module Robson." This feature is only available on Vista, and that's why drivers are not available for Win XP.

    Check this box:

  • "No Audio device" after the on-board video uninstall

"No Audio device" said "Sound and Audio Devices Properties" Windows XP Pro sp3.

I think it started when I installed the first graphics card in the PCI-e slot of my Presario SR1913WM mother board.

Before installing the video card drivers, I took some advice to uninstall integrated video card.

Now I have no sound.  I have to re - install drivers NVIDIA GeForce 6150 for THE motherboard?

I tell myself that if I do, I can re - install the Realtek drivers. I uninstalled them think today I could install as I did a few years ago (but now MS Update does not offer me all Realtek drivers).

And do I have to uninstall the list in Device Manager for ' AMD high definition Audio Device "(I suspect it could be the video card drivers)?

Here is the record of SR1913WM.

    Hello:

I noticed on the specifications that you have validated your new video card, it has a HDMI port, correct?

Well, what happened is that your PC think that you have installed not only a new video card, but also a new card audio and it disabled the embedded video and integrated audio system. Video card you have an audio chip embedded HDMI (AMD HD audio's HDMI).

So, all you have to do is go into BIOS and find the onboard audio setting.

It will have the value auto or off.

Change the setting to "Enabled". Save it by pressing the F10 key at this time here and again when you exit the BIOS (save settings and exit).

On reboot, everything will be fine again.

  • Satellite A200 - cannot use Vista after the recovery of the product

Hello. I hope someone can help me with the following... This week I had various issues with which follows my laptop a Vista update that system restore did not fix, so I decided to go for a full recovery of product (which I have a complete backup of all my files).

So far I have used the product recovery on my laptop in the 3 ways I can see (and more than once): without changing the settings, change the settings and maximize the partition, change settings and select advance / expertise.

Whenever I was able to complete the initialization of windows, create a new user account, etc. Once the Office has been set up, I get a small window with a progress bar and when it's over, I click on the button 'restart '...

After the reboot, I get the black screen that says Microsoft Corporation with the green progress bar, but he's there for what feels like 'too long '. After a while, I get a black screen with a cursor, then a blue screen for a crash dump.

If I use F8 and boot mode safe, the system stops the CplIR.sys file, although the hard disk activity seems to be continuing. I turn off after 10 minutes.

If I use F8 and then select Repair computer... This is what is happening with each option
-Restore the full windows operating system: after clicking on OK nothing happens.
-Diagnostics of memory: there is no problem with memory
-DOS prompt: I run CHKDSK and there is no problem with the hard drive
-Restart: there is no errors, even if the word diagnosis 'impossible' when he sees, there is no system restore points

Then on reboot I get the black screen with cursor followed by the crashdump OR if I managed to log in and access my desktop, I get the crash dump, as soon as I try to do something (like open Control Panel).

Following the instructions found elsewhere, I have tried this after removing the battery, then changing power management options immediately after the initialization of windows (ie. before clicking on the restart button). No change.

I even ignored the button restart! But still get a crash dump, when I try to do something.

Any ideas? I've got past (ie. wasted) so a lot of time on this and don't understand what may be wrong after formatting the windows drive image and reloading...

    Hello

It's very interesting story. I got several notebooks several times but I never noticed anything like that.
I must say that what you did right and you think appropriately. If I were you I would try exactly the same steps to make it work somehow.
I do not know which issues you had before, but I imagine that here it's just the problems of software and not important for the operation of the equipment.

It's really hard to say what can be the problem. What you can try, is somewhere to get facilities Microsoft Vista disk and install naked Vista to see if the same thing will happen again.
Anyway, the fact is that images of recovery are tested and adapted for each laptop model and if the material is OK there no reason for this kind of behavior.

Try again with the new installation using Microsoft facilities drive and let us know exactly what is happening.

  • Satellite A200 PSAE0E - no display after the update of the BIOS has not

    Hi all

I have Toshiba A200 PSAE0E. I got the Vista OS to Xp.
When I tried to upgrade the BIOS setting, the system frozed.

I reformulated the system using the power button. There is no display on my screen when restarting.
I tried to restart by pressing F1, F2, key to the House and even removed the battery for a while, until what there is no display on my screen.

I even tried connection and an external monitor, but that also there is no display.
At the moment I don't have any sort of recovery disk.

I would be very happy if someone could help me.

    Hello

To me, it seems that the BIOS update procedure has failed.
For no apparent reason has frozen the system and you have interrupted the update procedure.

According to mu ROM module (where the BIOS is stored) has not been flashed properly and this is the reason why you cannot start the laptop.

In this case, you need the help of ASP I know, this really stupid s situation but I'm afraid there is no alternative to m.

I think that the technician will try to flash the ROM module using a special BIOS and then the cell phone should start properly if all goes well. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

    Good luck

  • Satellite L855 - 14 p - USB ports do not work after the mode 'sleep'

    Heya guys,

I have a strange problem today. The 2 USB inputs on the right side of the laptop (idk who is 2.0 or 3.0) does not work with the reason I can not perceive. These 2 guys are on different days, but in the same way. A month ago, I plugged the mouse USB wireless to one of them, then entered mode 'sleep'. When I came back, I discovered the work of mouse aint.

Then I realized the port I plugged the key USB has no electiricity inside no more. I found it very strange and continuous without using the port of broken, until yesterday. Yesterday, I made the same mistake (a la mode "sleep" in a USB port plugged into the other port - work-) and I have re-opened, the 2nd port is broken in the same way, too. I've mastered Manager devices, regedit, but it has no use. This lead me to think his could be a hardware problem, but how can be possible? Is this a coincidence?

Now, I have to use my 3rd and last port on the right side of the laptop with a USB duplicator.
You have any ideas? Can it be a software problem?

Understand this correctly? The USB ports mentioned don t work even after restarting a new laptop?

In this case, it could be really a hardware problem
But before talking about hardware problems, I recommend to recover the laptop using Toshiba recovery.

Defining the notebook back to factory settings will help you identify the problem: If the USB ports wouldn't work, this s hardware problem.

  • HP Envy laptop - 15-ae011na: HP Envy - keyboard and Trackpad not working after the mode 'sleep'.

    HP Envy laptop - 15-ae011na

I have this laptop for only 1 week, he did various updates. I guess that's from Windows 8 to 8.1. He also completed an update of the BIOS with HP Support Assistant.

Question: When the awakening of my laptop mode 'sleep', my trackpad and keyboard do not work, I have unlock my PC using HP Simple pass, then press the power button to restart the machine.

Troubleshooting: I followed some advice for troubleshooting on the support page which lead me to uninstall the keyboard driver then restart my machine. I have all the latest drivers aswell.

Someone has an idea what might be causing the problem? Ideally, I'd like to do a restore or upgrade of Windows 10 immediately.

    Thank you.

Looks like this has been caused some my driver problem with Windows 8.1 and I guess that's with HP SimplePass such that it would not recognize the keyboard and the trackpad after waking up to use it.

I have upgraded to Windows 10 that looks like a solved the problem.

  • Black screen HP Elitebook 850 after the mode 'sleep'

    Hello

I have a HP Elitebook 850, which is about 3 weeks old. It is running Windows 8.1 with most of the HP software, which is available for this model, installed.

Once the laptop goes into mode 'sleep' may not wake up for some reason any. The screen remains black and seeing everything seems normal. The only thing to do is either ctr + alt + delete to restart or shutdown forced by using the power button.

    Any ideas?

    Best regards

Has exactly the same problem.  Called HP support.  They said that I needed to downgrade the video driver I was using.

Specifically they asked me to check the version of the video driver first:

    1. Start screen, type "Device Manager" and then click to open Device Manager.
    2. In Device Manager, expand "graphics cards".  There were two shown:
      Radeon (TM) AMD HD 8500/8700 M M
      Intel(r) HD Graphics Family
    3. They asked me to double click on the graphics card Intel.  The dialog box properties open;
    4. On the tab driver properties dialog box, check the Version of the driver.  Mine was 10.18.10.3379.

HP support and then asked me to download an older version of the driver, 10.18.10.3316.  Here's how:

    (1) on the laptop in question go to hp.com;

    (2) in the Help menu of hp.com, click Download drivers;

    (3) search by product: Enter 'Elitebook 850 G1' and press Go.

    (4) multiple results will come to the top, select the one that says 'HP EliteBook 850 G1 Base model Notebook PC';

    (5) to select the operating system: "Windows 8.1 (64-bit);

    (6) from the Index to download, select 'drivers - Graphics ';

    (7) tΘlΘcharger "Driver Intel video and control panel (International)" version 10.18.10.3316, November 15, 2013.  It's a big download, 158 MB.

Once the download is complete, double-click the downloaded file to install it.  If you get a dialog box warning you install an earlier version of the driver that is currently installed, click Yes to continue.

After you have installed the version 10.18.10.3316 driver, I restarted the laptop.

To test whether the fix had worked I open a text editor and entered the text without saving it (it was to see if the unsaved document would still exist after that the laptop computer woke up from his sleep).  I then put the laptop to sleep by closing the form.  When I opened it again the light behind the power button has been slowly pulsed on and outside and the screen was black.  Based on the presented power button the laptop out of fashion 'sleep' and return to the lock for recording screen in.  Once connected, I found that the unsaved document was still open for the laptop had obviously just slept and rather than restarted rewoken.

    I hope this helps.
