Satellite A200 - support Button does not start when windows starts

Hey,.

Today, I decided to disable unnecessary programs as many as I could (to speed up my pc), so I went to Msconfig (I have vista home premium 32-bit) and a lot of things off. Including the "toshiba button support. The next time I restarted my additional buttons on the top of the keyboard all worked, next to one. Who normally turn on windows media player. This time, he did nothing at all. Game/resume, stop, forward, back and button internet all worked without problem.
However, I really liked the WMP button, so I tried to find out what the problem was. I discovered that it was the support of the key, so I decided to reactivate it.

However, this didn't not help: (.) I turned it in msconfig, but it does not start with windows more: (.) I know this is the program that I need, because when I run the program manually (this is the program: programfiles/toshiba/TBS/HSON.exe) the button works.
I put a V in front of the msconfig program, but it does not work. Anyone has an idea why not?

Edit: I found a solution, even if not the best. If anyone still has the same problem:
I made a shortcut for the program to run (can be found in C:programfiles/toshiba/SCT and is called HSON.exe). Then I clicked start and said 'all programs', here I chose the "opstarten" folder, it comes to the Dutch version, but my guess is it's called something like 'start-up' in English. In this regard, I glued (copy / cut-> paste) the shortcut to the program, and now he begins again :)

Hello!

I agree with Akuma. You should try to reinstall the Toshiba value added Package. This determines media keys FN and all special functions on the laptop buttons.

I got my A200-24 b for almost 2 years now and the problem I have is driving me crazy.

My laptop does not start at times. All the LEDs come, this Satellite down left indicator as well. But there is nothing on the screen.
Doesnt matter what operating system I use, and I even tried to install the latest version of the BIOS. Nothing.
I see the drive hard led flashing, and I can even hear the Vista startup sound.
I have to turn it off manually by pressing the manual power button. Even this doest work sometimes. I remember the until routine start-stop 10 times.
The problem is that Windows 7 will automatically repair mode. This never happened with vista.
I even tried to change the memory chips live in vain.

Will you please keep in mind what is happening randomly and I was not able to recognize a pattern.
    Any help will be appreciated.

    Its still under warranty.

Can you see Toshiba welcome screen or enter the BIOS settings?
In my opinion you should not play with it. Put original Toshiba recovery DVD and install recovery image, if possible. Test it with the factory settings and if there is some problem of nearest service contact and let them repair your laptop.
Satellite A200 is not latest model laptop, and I can imagine the warranty is valid for the next months only.

    Hello!

I put t understand why Windows 7 is so popular right now it s only a beta version

However, I think that the reason for this is why no Toshiba tool is available at the moment, but I can understand that because Windows 7 is not yet out.
You can try to install the package of value added. This is for Vista, but maybe it works also on Windows 7 being the most drivers for Vista works on Windows 7 too.

    Hello

I bought my Satellite A200 (psae3e) with Vista 3 months ago. I sent my computer to a laboratory and asked them to install XP. Well, everything seems to work outside scrolling on the touchpad.

I tried everything to reinstall the sinaptics driver and the Alps to dig in any configuration. I could find associated with the mouse in the control panel. Also tried the FN + f12 key (supposed to turn the roll on and outside) without success.
    Any help is appreciated.

  • Bluetooth support service does not start on VISTA

When I go into the Services Panel it shows of Support Bluetooth Service is set to automatic but not started. When I try to start this service, it gives me error: 1053 indicating that the service has failed within a reasonable time. I have a MX5500 Revolution keyboard and mouse combo that works very well. But when I try to put the mini hub so he could accept the other BT devices, it hangs, freezes or crashes. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the software several times with no luck. I know that the reason that this happens, it's the BT support service does not start. Any help is appreciated.

  • Satellite A200 - 23Q - screen does not show anything

I am user and owner of a Satellite A200 - 23Q. The last few days, my laptop appears a certain problem. Its kinda does not. When I press the power button / stop, screens appears nothing, not even loading BIOS or something, even if the hard drive and power satellite (bottom left) turns on. Well, someone could say it is a screen problem, but this thing does not happen always, sometimes its working normally.

I'm waiting for a response as soon as possible. Thank you

    Hi fotakis,.

Which is easy enough to say what, exactly, is the problem: just connect an external monitor. :)

If you see a photo on this subject, it seems to be only a problem of internal monitor. Maybe the FL inverter needs to be replaced
But I think that in both cases (also when the external monitor shows nothing) you need professional assistance from an authorized service provider.

The ASP can solve this problem!

  • Satellite A200-13 m - do not start message bootmgr

    Hello

My Toshiba Satellite A200 does not start, after that I enabled the recovery partition from Vista to reinstall my thought OS that I will be able to start the laptop hidden partition, but I get the message bootmgr and ctr + alt + delete to restart.

My question is: How can I make my pc from the portion of recovery to restore my OS?
    Help me please. Thank you.

The recovery partition is damaged or the HARD disk is maybe defective.

How did you run Recovery? You hold the key to zero when you turn on the laptop?

My laptop Toshiba does not work...

When he was for a restart, the it closed suddenly... I want to start (start), but when I clicked on the Start button, it does not start... The LED lights were lit, but the laptop does not start...
At the present time, the lights went out, I don't know how...

It means that the laptop is break down?
I hope not, because I don't want to spend more money with that... :(

Is there someone who could solve this problem?

Thank you very much, long in advance,
    Raquel

It is not easy to solve these questions, because nobody knows what is the problem. It may be BIOS related issue or some other hardware related issue.
It's that there are not a lot of options in this regard.

You can try to remove the battery and unplug the power supply, press the power button / stop for a while and try again with power running. The same thing happens again?

    > The lights were on, but the laptop does not start...
You hear cooling ventilation? When the laptop is turned ON it turns off a few seconds later or stays, but without any reaction simply?

  • Satellite A300 - rotates but does not start

    Hello

I have a Satellite A300. I had several probems for the boot since 2 months ago: when I want to turn on my laptop, it turns on but the screen keeps black and it does not load the screen "Toshiba Leading Innovation". 'Satellite' (to the left of the mouse) light is on (it would go only about a second then to start and then turn off) and it will turn off.

I try again for so many times with all the possibilities: without battery, only with the power adapter, two, but it does not start. I don't know what I can do. I always Hibernate my laptop because I'm afraid of can not start it the next day.

Could you help me? If she cares: I had to buy a new battery (not original from Toshiba) because I had to change the original. No more changes to my laptop.

Thank you very much and sorry for my English written: S

    Diego

    Hey Buddy,

    > I had to buy a new battery (not original from Toshiba) because I had to change the original. No more changes to my laptop.
Of course, it s always advisable using Toshiba original spare parts only, but if you notice the same problem with AC adapter only it s not related to the new battery.

Just to make a better diagnosis: If you have connected an external monitor? The internal display is perhaps the problem and doesn't turn on and it would be useful if you are testing the situation and an external monitor.

But this noise as a hardware problem serious and in this case, you can wait to contact an authorized service provider. Technicians professional diagnostic tools to make an accurate diagnosis and to Exchange defective equipment parts.

  • Satellite Pro L850-1DW does not start correctly

    Hello

    I have a client who has a L850-1DW / PSKDHE-00E005EN laptop.

She keeps pointing out that the computer does not start successfully from the cold.
She argues that the question arises mainly when the battery starts but sometimes when it is plugged into the mains.
I can see where point of newspapers that BSOD were registered at the start and that, on more than one occasion, his computer was recovered from a restore of Windows. He has also recovered factory once too.

Although I've seen the consequences of these issues of "start-up" I have yet to experience first hand with the device.

I noticed yesterday that the BIOS is outdated (as I had an alert Tempro).
    I upgraded from 1.6 to 6.50. Yet once, I didn't have problems.
I can't find the release notes for the BIOS so I don't know if this is a known problem that has been fixed.
I don't know if this "intermittent" defect is just that or if the user has the power button down too hard or for too long and in fact inadvertently crashing NB itself.

    Any suggestion is welcome.

Otherwise, I guess I have to connect a call with Toshiba.

On this virtual path, it is not easy to say what the problem is here. In my opinion, you should ask your client if you can make the data backup and install original recovery image. To my laptop computer reviews must be tested with the settings without installation of additional software.

    > I don't know if this "intermittent" defect is just that or if the user has the power button down too hard or for too long and in fact inadvertently crashing NB itself.
Who knows? Ask your client and show how to start the laptop by pressing the button walk / stop. It must be done slowly and for only one second.

    Try this:

-Remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter.
-Press the power button / stop along 30 sec
-Connect the battery and AC adapter to the laptop
-Try to turn on the unit.

If this fails, check the memory modules.
Remove a module and try to start Notepad using a single module. Run the test for each slot and the module.
