Satellite A200-TR6 - cannot install Vista SP1

I have Windows Update automatically installs updates the value, but it fails to install SP1. Specifically, I had SP1 in my file "Updates on hold" for a few months now, but it never installs. When I try and do it manually (as in by selecting 'Install now'), he goes through most of the process and then said it didn't and he'll try again. It restarts, try to install it again, then after 45 minutes reports that it cannot.

I remember reading somewhere that it was due to an incompatibility with the driver for the built-in webcam, but there is never presented solutions. Any ideas?

  • Satellite P200D - cannot install Vista SP1

I tried times serval update to Service Pack 1 of Vista. After that time of serval downloads, laptop installs Service Pack 1. After that serval hours windows update gives an answer that update is not possible with a message that is not explained by Windows.

What is the problem with the update?

    Hello

If you cannot update the SP1 then your Vista is confused upward or SP1 is already installed.

How have you tried to update the SP1? Have you downloaded it from the MS page made one then you perform the update or have you used the Windows Update option in the Panel?

In your case, I recommend to check first if SP1 is installed.
If it was not installed, then rub the BONE using the free CCLeaner tool.

If you want to update the SP1 version, and then try again.

If that does not help then retrieve the operating system using the Toshiba drive and then try to upgrade Vista to the last State.

  • Satellite A200 (PSAE6E) cannot install XP due to lack of HARD drive

My English is not so good, so I hope you understand me.

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite A200 with Windows Vista Home Premium, but XP works better for me and I would go back to XP Pro NL.

Yesterday, I started booting from the XP CD, but at the start of the installation windows say "we cannot find a hard disk.

With google I found the laptop A200 may have a SATA HDD, en must have a driver for my laptop, so can Windows XP Pro began installation.

But where can I find the drivers?

The SATA driver is part of the Intel Matrix Storage Manager.
This storage manager can be downloaded from the European of Toshiba driver page or from the page clean s from Intel.

  • Recovery for Satellite A200-21dts DVD includes Vista SP1

    Hello

My recovery DVD does not work... and I noticed this new download service, and my question is...
Is - this this new recovery DVD come with the Vista SP1 already installed? and it comes with the latest drivers and utilities?

    Thank you

    Hello

I don't know about you, but I'm sure that you get just copy. This means that you got the recovery as well as the original. The original is designed maybe a year ago and at this stage the SP1 was not available.
I think you have OS without SP1 and with the drivers, tools, and utilities that was available at the moment.

When you install the operating system, you can get info about the version of each Toshiba utility and you can install the latest versions. You can find it on the Toshiba support page.

To be honest you don't need all that. Package of added value is important. Remove the other preinstalled and install later the Toshiba download page. I did the same thing.

    Hello

    I have a L300, model number PSLB0E sat. \
It was originally loaded with vista home premium, but it starts now not at all.
I made a disc of vista Home premium and the number to go with it, but it gets as far as "windows installation" but then it stops.

I tried to new hard drive, same loading XP pro not working!
I think it's Bios, but after the download from Toshiba on this PC and transfer it to a memory stick, my laptop can't see it?

Please can someone point me in the right direction?

A big thank you in advance Paul

    Hi mate

Please check in the BIOS if the disc is visible.
If so, then set compatible SATA to AHCI mode and then try to boot from the Vista or Win XP disc.

But if the HARD drive is not visible in the BIOS then it would mean that the HARD drive is dead and so you cannot install the operating system.

    Check it!

  • Cannot install Vista SP1, error 800F0816

I reset my computer to factory settings. I went on the installation of the updates that come with, until the time came to Vista SP1. I did the thing, he started to install and when it restarted it sent me to the thing system restore and it has not stopped. I was forced to 'pull the plug' and reset my computer to its previous state before installing SP1. Everything was OK until I did my format. Could this be a problem, that I don't have my original graphics card and RAM on my pc (I have them again).

What else could I give you, so that you can give me the best possible solution. I just want to know where the fault is and how to fix it. B A C K G R O U N D:

I am running Vista Home Premium (32-bit version) and I need to upgrade Adobe create Suite 3 (CS3) to CS4. The problem comes from the fact that CS4 requires Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) and I'm unable to install SP1.

So, I would be very grateful if there is someone out there who could offer some advice to help me correct my current system with SP1, allowing installation both need the software Adobe CS4. Someone has an idea of what I might try next?

    3. Computer is then restarted again (or maybe it goes directly from 2) 3) without a re-boot inbetween?) and now I am facing a window called "Start up repair" telling me "your computer is unable to boot"... here I just have to click Next and the computer now spends in the order of 45 minutes to fix the system. The error may occur if one of the following factor is true:

    1. the services concerned of the Windows Update stop working.

    3. Windows Update Agent does not work.

For now, let's try the following steps to solve the problem. After you complete the steps, please run Windows Update to check the result.

Step 1: Check the services concerned of the update of Windows
    ============================

    1. click on Start, type services.msc in the Search box and press ENTER.

    2. in the right pane, check if the following three services have been launched:

    (BITS) Background Intelligent Transfer Service

If not, please start one by one.

Step 2: Rename the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution Windows Update

    4. refer to the desktop, right-click on the register.bat file and choose run as administrator.
    5. you will see a window of type BACK treatment.

Note: Please look at the cmd window and make sure that it says it has successfully launched. After that, run Windows Update to test the issue again.

If the 0x8000ffff error persists when you search for updates, we will reinstall Windows Update Agent 3.0.

Step 3: Reinstall Windows Update Agent
    ===========================
    1. Please download the file from the following link:

A new version of the Windows Update Agent is available

I would like to solve the installation of XP SP3 - all the tips would be appreciated.

    Hello

I doubt that there are those who might say why you could not install SP3.
Fact is that the installation of SP3 should functions and it s any laptop you are using. It is not in the laptop!

In your case, I recommend to clean the BONES and the registry using CCleaner.
Then you must download the full pack of SP3 and it need to store on the HARD drive.

    Hello

What Vista did you use? TOSHIBA recovery disk or a disk of Microsoft Vista?
Format you the new HARD disk before starting the installation of Vista?

It is possible that the new HARD drive is not good and therefore the system can not be installed properly
You can check the drive HARD using a tool called Drive Fitness Test download this as its a freeware program and test your HARD drive.

    > So why windows can't find hard disk and why can't I start windowds visat after installing with the recovery dvd?
On this virtual path, it is not easy to say why you can not install recovery image. It would be interesting to know if the same thing will happen when you replace the HARD with the same or identical.
This title was the original HARD drive?
If possible, try to get original Microsoft installation disc and check if the HARD drive will be recognized by Vista or Win7 and of course if you will be able to install and boot OS preinstalled.

Regarding the installation of Windows XP Home edition: it is well known that the WXP installation will start properly due to lack of SATA driver that must be loaded prior to installation of WXP begins.
