Hi I have toshiba a205 and try to reformat using the original recovery CD, but it is stuck at the screen "apply configuration final please wait ' and waited 4 hours. /Advice any help will be appreciated. Thank you

    What to say; the coffee spilled on the laptop and any fluid is not really good for an internal parts especially for the motherboard.

    I have no idea what part exactly damaged by spilled coffee, but it looks like a part of the motherboard is affected. Perhaps is the electronic power supply defective?

    I think that the laptop needs a verification and don t ask any technicians Nick fans because these guys just talk about possible problems.

    The device must be checked by a professional technician (service partner chartered Toshiba in your country) which has special tools and diagnostic software.

    I have the same Satellite L500 which is similar to yours and that of s. The laptop restarts often enough until the installation is complete. That s not unusual, it is necessary to install all drivers and tools you need.

    So I hope you didn t stop or cancel this installation. Just wait a little longer and during this procedure, you can drink coffee and watch TV! ;)

  • Satellite A205 freeze after the power connection

    My computer has this strange problem. It stops completely after that I have plug in the power supply.
    What I do now, it is let it recharge when it is off and use it without food.

    There is a chance that it works with the power connected, but generally, it stops again in the trunk.
    If the battery is low and I connect the power usually, it stops right after that I do, sometimes not.

    I also tried to install Linux. But the same thing happens (except by the fact Linux only stops in the trunk)
    I'm now using Windows Vista.

    As suggested above; It looks like an electrical problem on the motherboard power supply. Maybe the motherboard must be changed.

  • Satellite A200 - BSOD in the final stage of the XP install 0x7b

    Hello all, hope someone can help me?

    Have done a lot of research on this subject, but so far, nothing seems to work, so I think I'm missing something.
    I have a satellite Pro A200-Psae4e which is HARD drive has failed and had to be replaced. I have no access to records of original recovery :(

    Laptop was already installed with XP pro, and bios is already bios XP for this model.
    I nLite had sata drivers on a disc with xp pro oem and the appears during installation

    Just at the end I geta bsod (0x7b) error.
    I tried several install nLite with other sata drivers where I just get a corrupted error iastor.sys...

    Can anyone think of something I missed as I'm slowly losing my hair with it.

    On the European driver Toshiba page, you will find the Storage Manager 7.5.0.1017.
    Download and unzip!
    Then choose the F6flpy folder and include the files that are placed in the files ICH7M_32bit and ICH8M_32bit.

    These SATA drivers are for 32 bit OS. I guess that your Windows XP is 32-bit.

    Include it using nLite and try again!

    My boyfriend bought a satellite A205-S7458 to the United States, and after a few weeks trying like Vista, it decided to downgrade to XP, because the games he loves do not work on Vista.
    After spending several days trying to find the correct drivers, we have finally managed to install everything, with no yellow dot in the Device Manager.

    But the games still do not work properly.

    My Online is suspended when meeting other players, Lineage 2 works in frames, and what's worse, I see trails of the window on the screen with not much use of the processor.

  • Satellite A205: New HDD - error after recovery

    I replaced the hard drive in the Satellite A205 and used the Toshiba Recovery and disc drivers/Application to re - install the drivers and Windows Vista.

    However, when the recovery ends and the windows starts for the first time, I get a message: Windows Setup could not configure Windows to run on a hardware on this computer.

    The new hard drive is a Western Digital 500 GB SATA.
    Is there a conflict with the new hard drive?

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Try to start Windows Vista is SafeMode (F8-> safe mode)
    Is this possible?

    I have a big problem today. I applied the SSL configuration for weblogic and OBIEE. It worked very well with the Keystore demo. After selfsigned keystore is created and applied to weblogic admin_server, the server will stop and now it does not start. Here is the log, I checked the name of user and password several times. also I removed the boot.properties file and it is generated again when starting.
