Hello

As I see that you posted several discussions on the same issues. I imagine that you are not happy because of all these issues.
(1) what to write about BSOD? Nobody here can say with certainty why this happen. As you know, it may be because of some software pre-installed. Who knows what you have installed on your laptop? Accurate diagnosis is definitely not possible.
(2) install all the missing drivers, Toshiba tools and utilities. Each of them should be available on the Toshiba U.S. support page.
(3) in this regard, we can only speculate. The fact is that this model of laptop pre-installed with Windows XP Home edition and optimized operating system should work well and smoothly.
(4) I don't know what answer you expect on this subject. Make sure that the network adapter is properly installed. All others you must clarify with network administrator in your company or your Internet service provider
(5) no comments for this.

If you have a model of cell phone US Download all the stuff of http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_modSel.jsp

Boyfriend sorry but that's all I can say to all this.

    Hello

I guess everything worked correctly until you have + neutered + Windows operating system by using the nLITE application.
    Is this good?

Well. I put t know what you changed exactly, but it seems some essential, parts of software files are no longer available.

Is that all your BT module does not work correctly if you install the driver BT (stack) and the FN keys work correctly if install you the Vista Toshiba value added package and the Toshiba Flash Cards Support Utility for Windows Vista

All of these drivers and tools are located here on the Toshiba page we:

Its Windows Vista Edition Have Home Premium.

And I am unable to install SQL server 2000 and 2005.

    SATA driver problem.

    Please help me...!

    Answer me

    Hello

Windows XP needs a SATA driver if you want to install on the laptop with SATA HDD controller.
Driver SATA can be found in the Intel Storage Manager.

I advise to use nLite program to include a SATA driver in the new Windows XP CD, then boot from the XP CD created new.
You will find details of the nLite:
    http://www.nliteos.com/

    With regard to the problem of Server SQL;
You may be able to install in Windows XP. There may be a compatibility problem between Vista and SQL Server software

  • I can't install Windows XP on Satellite A205-s5831

    Hello
    I bought a new Satellite A205-s5831 laptop.
I want to downgrade Vista to XP but I can't.
I've been on it for 7 to 8 hours, but I couldn't do anything.

The thing is, I can't find RAID drivers for my laptop. So I can copy it to my USB floppy.
I downloaded the 32-bit Intel Matrix Storage Manager floppy Configuration utility for my GL960 chipset.
I copied the files on my floppy drive, but even that did not help.

Then, someone at - it an idea?

    THX

The key is definitely the Intel Matrix Storage Manager.
And you don t have no need driver RAID but SATA drivers!
The SATA drivers are part of the Intel Matrix Storage nursery and they will work for sure!

I noticed that sometimes drivers diskette advantage 3rd don t work as it should, and that's why you should try to create a new XP CD using the freeware tool called nLite.

The nLite can help you to integrate the SATA driver into Windows XP and to create a new XP CD.

PS: SP2 is important and must be also installed on the XP CD

  • Satellite A205-S5831: TouchPad tapping cannot be disabled - SOLUTION

There are several other online on the same forums, and I felt Toshiba was the best place to post the solution to the problem.

Description of the problem: cannot turn off the tap of the mouse to click the feature of Vista. Synaptics driver has the opportunity to turn the feature on, and outside, but it is grayed out.

Other forums suggested to uninstall and then reinstall the Synaptics driver. Get the latest Toshiba, or get the latest driver from Synaptics driver but none of this has worked for me. However, it claimed the driver Synaptics of Synaptics.com worked for him or her.

Here is my solution on 2 forums on geekstogo.com (what kind of name is that anyway?):

I had exactly the same problem and I feel obligated to post the solution I found that it would have saved me hours and maybe he will save the next person hours. I hope that everyone uses the same courtesy so forums like these are useful.

I have a solution, but first let me vent. This problem has been quite the problem more frustrating and stupid. Why anyone who knows hit want type to click? It's such a frustrating feature. In addition, why would anyone software development does not give the user the ability to disable? Synaptics touchpad old drivers for XP are 100 times better. I don't understand the lack of functionality in the new.

I checked on Toshiba.com for touchpad drivers for my satellite A205-S5831 and noticed that there is a driver Alps. I have downloaded this driver, uninstalled the driver Synaptics (uninstalled option programs and Featuers in the control panel) and installed the driver Alps. The Alps driver includes many options over the Synaptics driver does not work, including turning off the tap to click.

I hope that this solution works for others.

Info thank you for sharing this with us.

I've also noticed that Toshiba touchpad requires two different drivers. There is Synaptics driver and the other is driver Alps.

You need two drivers to get the full touchpad control.

  • Satellite A205-SP5820 - problem with microphones

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite A205-SP5820, and it's been almost two months that my microphone stopped working (external & the built). Today, I installed three different drivers (the one downloaded from softonic, one page Web from Toshiba and the other from Realtek)
    They still do not work.

    What can I do?
    Thank you.

That really strange, you have this problem with the internal and external microphone.
The configuration of the laptop is not known to me, but if you have tried the mixture of different drivers I don't think it is unique to the pre-installed driver.

I think that best option for you will be clean OS installation but using the Toshiba recovery image you have with your laptop. Toshiba recovery image contains fine work and drivers tested so if the problem will still be there, it can be hardware only question about.

Clean OS installation option is right for you?

    Hello

I had the same problem as the guy FOM this thread---> [http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=174977𪮁 | http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=174977𪮁]
I lowered my Satellite P300-212 from Vista to XP. I used an installation Win XP CD of Win professional XP including Service Pack 3.
Then I installed all the drivers from the Toshiba site.
    But I still have a yellow! in the Device Manager to the "Audio device on High Definition Bus". The details of this device show "HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_1002 & DEV_AA01 & SUBSYS_00AA0100 & REV_1001\5 & 3B6F18F1 & 0 & 0001"
So I don't know, what driver I need to take to solve this problem. Rather, modemdriver etc are all installed and work fine!
In the thread I linked above, the guy only has not copied driver WICH he installed manually. :(

I hope that someone of you can help!

    Best wishes.

    greatwolfman

    Hello

You should go to remove device manager and scream this device with the yellow! and?
    Restart the unit.

In addition you must update Win XP for the last State because there are many patches that are required under Win XP latest series laptop.

1 - the parchment in the touchpad do not work

    3. I can't update the Bios it gives me an error on the file phlashnt.sys. It is said that, if I do not have without administrator privileges are trying to log in again as an administrator

However, my account is an administrator account

Thnx everyone for trying to help me

I think you have these issues because the drivers are missing.

I see you are using the XP 64 bit OS. Toshiba drivers for win 32 bit and so some features don't work and you can't update the BIOS.

  • Re: Satellite L500D - boot problem after BIOS update

I downloaded the new version of BIOS (v1.4) official Toshiba site to update my computer Satellite L500D (PSLK0A - 00U009). But after the update, Windows 7 cannot start, Windows logo appears for a while then it restarts automatically. Windows then goes into repair mode. I followed the instructions on the screen to fix. But it does not work.
When I reinstalled Windows, the computer worked fine until Windows Update told me to restart the computer. The computer dies again.

I think that this version of BIOS has a problem. I wonder if there is a way to downgrade the BIOS to the earlier version. I found some instructions on the net to use the Phoenix recovery disk, but I have no file disk and BIOS.
    Please Please HELP, very appreciate.

    TKS

Try to install the OS to help original Toshiba recovery image. After disabling automatic Microsoft updates to install. When you get the message about controlled initially available updates and install important updates only.

Check it once more to see if the same thing will happen again. Display the results.

  • Some problems after the downgrade from Vista to XP - Tecra S10

    Hello

I wonder if you could give me a helping hand with a laptop I bought recently.

With the S10, I got a downgrade and used to downgrade to XP SP3 cd, but who has a problem.
Sometimes when I restarted the pc, or even when it would boot it would hang and the fan would start to run at 100%.
When it restarts, it crashes just after the "closing windows" and when it starts, it freezes at the windows xp loading screen.

The only thing I could do, it's hard to restart it.
If you think "huh, he had a few pilot program or that ' Yes, thought that myself, but I reinstalled xp on the machine with fresh drivers, bios update, file verification, toshiba software uninstalled, reinstalled, checked for viruses malware... always dose the same thing.

The interesting part is that it is not all the time... and I can't understand what is happening when the system crashes.

Can someone give me a hand with this?

    Hello

It is possible that some pre-installed applications that worked correctly with Vista OS would go well with Win XP and so these strange questions would appear

As another user suggested try to uninstall the software of fingerprint. But the best solution would be the clean OS install

    Hello

In most cases, BT does not work due to lack of BT software.
The point is that most laptops use a module for WLan and BT.
This combo module WLan/BT requires additional driver filter...

According to your WLan / module BT, you will need to install the filter for the BT driver package.
In most cases the 8 Win / filter package 8.1 Bluetooth driver should work under Win 10...

But you have to watch for the manufacturer of modules... There are different modules like Atheros, Intel or Realtek
