Satellite A210 - 146:Toshiba DVD player no longer works

Hi, I have a Satellite A210-146, and installed Toshiba DVD player has stopped working. He used to work, but I believe that there is some program compatibility issues. Is there a way to know which program it may touch without uninstalling or reinstalling programs?

Any advice or suggestions greatly appreciated, thanks

What happen exactly when you want to use a Toshiba DVD player? Is there an error message?

  • What can I do this message-"Toshiba DVD Player has stopped working"

    Hello

My DVD drive used for good work... and then I installed iTunes.
He then worked for a while, but only by using "Run as Administrator".

After a few weeks I started getting the message "Toshiba DVD Player has stopped working".

I uninstalled iTunes - and uninstalled and then re-installed DVD player - but it still doesn't work!
    Any solution please?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Ms. Q_reeus

My solution is to remove a Toshiba DVD drive and install VLC player. You can get it for free.
It can play all video formats, and you don't need additional codecs.

  • Satellite U300: Toshiba DVD player does not work properly

Hello, yesterday I downloaded a new driver for Toshiba DVD player (only had the laptop a week or two).

Now when I try to play a DVD it tells me "unable to output the video to an external device. Please change your display device by pressing the Fn + F5 keys after the end of the application"

Now, I closed the dvd and then did as he said with the Fn + F5 keys, but this seems to get me nowhere. It appears the laptop and the lcd screen icons are highlighted.

    Any suggestions please?

    Hi mate,

It seems that the pilot has some sort of problems. What you might try is to restore the system to a previous restore point.
With luck, you could play your DVD´s again with the player from Toshiba, but I suggest you wait for the next update, maybe they will fix this problem.

You can also use the "VideoLan" drive which is freeware and probably one of the best available players that can play almost all formats. If you want to try the drive, then just go here-> www.videolan.org/

Otherwise, you can perform a restore, use the Toshiba DVD player and wait until toshiba released a new update that works...

    Welcome them

  • The Satellite A series CD/DVD drive no longer works

I bought my computer Toshiba Satellite A of the series with Windows Vista installed. I removed Vista and installed windows XP on the computer.
Now, the dvd player does not work properly. When burning the DVD it burns only 6 percent and then gives the following message is displayed: "unspecified error".

I searched the internet for a solution, but the given solution does not work because the upper and lower filters must not be located in the file regedt32.exe.
Is there anyone who can tell me what to do and how this problem can be solved?

    Regarding, Jens Oolders

    Hello

I found the same information as the upper and lower values filter would have a bad influence on the use of CD/DVD drive.
    Many people have reported an improvement in performance after deleting the upper and lower filter of this registry key values;
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

To start the registration type please; RUN REGEDIT in the window.

After this procedure, you must restart the laptop again.

May I ask what burning program you use?
I would recommend Nero. It supports several different additional functions such as 'Test Drive' or ' control the speed in the car.
It all works to get performance better combustion.

Perhaps, you use switch to Nero and test different DVD from different vendors!

    Hi lindag,.

Is it so when you try to play DVDs with VLC media player?

What you could also try is reinstalling DVD Toshiba playback software. You can download the latest version on the Web from Toshiba site:

  • Satellite P105 carpet * a dvd player does not work with Win 7

    Greetings,

I need an upgrade on my dvd to my vintage Satellite P105.
I want the possible fastest dvd burner right now because I'm a fan of film and keep them in digital memory.

    (1) first should I get an external drive or can I get the best performance with an internal dvd replacement of a reseller of parts or Toshiba?

The problem is when I've upgraded to windows 7 things have changed. I lost my sound, but that solved using a driver inherited Visa as apparently the sound 'Council' on the laptop is for Vista only. Then I found the dvd player which is a mitsu * an internal UJ-450 does not or is extremely slow in saving films, records or files. The available recording software seems also planned for Vista performance was acceptable. Even the dvd burning software does not work.

    (2) so my question for multimedia specialists is: what should be my next move?

    (3) should I go outside and confront the neck of the bottle USB or

    (4) to make the speed of the bus on the internal dvd?

    (5) given an internal dvd is preferable, because it's exactly a dvd-ram/IDE as it is currently, or some other configuration of bus.

    (6) most importantly, what dvd burner would give me 18 x speed with current programs like ConvertXtoDVD and did as a symbol external or - better - as an internal dvd replacement or my slow drive currently?

Of course, if you could give me a model number and direct me to the sales it would be much appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.

    > 1) first of all I should go for an external drive or can I get optimal performance with a dvd replacement internal to a coin dealer or Toshiba?

You should know that not all internal STRANGE machines are compatible. You will need to use a not compatible and supported and such device could be ordered in a local ASP.
But it s more expensive as an external CD/DVD device so you could also choose an external that would be compatible with all computers and laptops available.

(> 2) so, my question for multimedia specialists is: what should be my next move?
As mentioned. Good option would be to buy an external burner drive ODD

(> 3) should I go outside and confront the neck of the bottle USB or
External device are compatible with all computers and are less expensive

(> 4) go to the speed of the bus on the internal dvd?
If you have the money for an internal device and want to use it with P105 only then you can also choose an internal burner.

(> 5) because a dvd internal is preferable, because it is exactly a dvd-ram/IDE as it is currently, or some other configuration of bus.
As far as I know it s an IDE interface, but the device would support setting master or slave or c - salt. As mentioned, you can buy a Toshiba a recommended.

(> 6) especially, what dvd burner would give me 18 x speed with current programs like ConvertXtoDVD and did as a symbol external or - better - as an internal dvd replacement or my slow drive currently?

  • Toshiba DVD player is not working properly because Windows 7 upgrade

I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 and can't get my reader DVD Toshiba to work.
I tried to update drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling. Also, I tried to download a Realtek driver for Vista for a suggestion on another thread and that was even worse. It is currently uninstalled, but when I install it, it either didn't play at all or I get an error saying that it cannot connect to the output device.

Someone knows a similar problem on Windows 7?

Is available for your computer model laptop-implementation to date of the DVD player for Win7?
Have you consulted the Toshiba Win7 download page?

It was working fine but now not reognize even when a disc has had players in the player.

Hmm it looks like the laser lens doesn t reads the data from the disk.

Try to clean the laser lens with cotton wool trick and liquid alcohol
In the case of the dirty lens, this will help get the disks still functioning, but be very careful when cleaning the lens!
