Satellite A210 - keyboard, touchpad, battery, boot problems

Hello

Satellite A210 age of less than twelve months.

1. the speakers had problem - ASP replaced the motherboard, but now the volume is still very low, even when it is 100%. All parameters controlled and seem to agree. How to fix?

2. do not always start battery as it is constantly flat. Laptop went to ASP which replaced the motherboard (again) and put the new battery. Now it is always best to run the laptop power adapter the battery loses still fresh. If unplugged from mains battery going flat all night?

3. has refused to start with the power button, talking to ASP who advised to reformat the PC - fact, but problem remained

4. reformatted much more time and finally returned to ASP that now the keyboard did not always work either. ASP has replaced the motherboard (which is now the third), but has not solved the problem and the keyboard. Still not having not battery

5. the day I return A210, touchpad did not work. Talked to ASP which gave me a lot of options to try, including turn it off and wait 30 minutes, which is not done. He returned in ASP which says that there is nothing wrong with him?

How can I set the power and touchpad problem?
Gave up the drums and speakers
.
Maybe someone else that ASP can give me an answer please. All I want is to be able to use my laptop and do all the usual things a PC, sound, keyboard, power batteries and do not always put in a USB mouse.

Help appreciated

> I tried the volume button on the front of the laptop, and it does not the speakers all stronger. I wouldn't know how to go into BIOS to change things.
In the BIOS, you cannot change these settings. I guess that this issue has something to do with the previous motherboard replacement.

> Do I need to get a person who makes a PC run to change?
I think you should communicate with guys that have changed are repaired this laptop and should explain the problems that appears after change of motherboard.

Try to configure the computer laptop back to factory settings. I guess you have to use an external USB keyboard in case the internal keyboard does not work.

  • Satellite A210 - 1AO PSAELE - black screen problem

    Hello.

I have a strange problem with LCD on my Satellite A210-1AO. Sometimes LCD does not work. The problem is only at startup, only not on closing LCD display or sleep mode. If I connect an external monitor - there is a picture, but with strange random points and lines. But if I remove the battery and the power adapter and leave the laptop for hours - after all can work very well (for days or weeks, even at startup). And then the problem reappears.

Where could be the problem? Card video or LCD or something else?

    > If I connect an external monitor - there is a picture, but with strange random points and lines.
    > But if I remove the battery and the power adapter and leave the laptop for hours - after all can work very well

Have you noticed a higher temperature while this happens?
I mean that the higher temperature could affect the GPU (graphics chip) that cause this lines and points
    It wouldn't be unusual.

Updating the graphics driver, what would you say?

    > Has anyone else experienced problems with the A210 of overheating? All solutions?
    Hi mate

I m a Satellite A210 owner and to be honest, a higher internal temperature might occur if the laptop would not get enough air to cool the internal parts like CPU and GPU.
A few weeks ago, I used the laptop on the sofa I don't the opinion of t that the cooling that are placed at the bottom of the unit fans were clogged because of my position relax, if you know what I mean ;)

After a short period of use, the laptop shut down automatically I was a little surprised, but I realized that air could not circulate, and so the laptop overheated

Now, I m using the unit only on the desktop. This method is recommended, and it helps to keep the temperature at the lower level

  • Satellite A210 - 4 1: Winload.exe problem after having used the product recovery disc

    Hello

I could really do with some help here. I have a PC laptop Toshiba Satellite A210 - 1 4. Disk partitioned with Vista home premium service pack 4.0.

Last night, I used the product recovery disc supllied with the laptop in an attempt to restore its initial configuration.

and the end of the procedure, I find myself with a prompt cmd with X:\windows\system32\cmd.exe in the high bit blue box indicating:

Error: imageX could not apply vista F:\05993xsp.swm Index 2 of ODD to C:\!

Failed to initialize the raid class.
    No RAID - continue normally...

    X:\Windows\System32 >

Now every time the laptop trying to restart it just comes up with the error message:

CANNOT START WINDOWS. A RECENT HARDWARE CHANGE OR SOFTWARE MAY BE THE

Below I have then have the possibility of esc or continue with the same result of the system attempts to restart.

The recovery disc has no option of repair on this subject.

need help please, I have no idea.

    Thank you

    Hello

Looks like something was wrong during the recovery procedure.
Have you tried to recover the laptop once more?
If this isn't the case, you should definitely try this!

You are right; hasn t drive recovery option for the repair because the recovery disk is not the same as a MS Vista drive. The recovery disk contains image files (it s a package) and the files contains Vista, Toshiba drivers, tools and additional software.

So if something was happening well wrung out during the recovery procedure, you will not be able to repair the installation of the OS, but you need to run it again.

  • Satellite A110: keyboard, touchpad, power problems

I have a Toshiba Satellite A110, purchased a few months before. In recent weeks, it started randomly locking the keyboard and the touchpad (with or without external mouse plugged - although an external mouse still works).

Now there is power to the top of the issues, with the suspended system Bios Toshiba screen, can fully initialize maybe once in five.
Acquisition of wireless network is also very temperamental. I tried this software I can think (new drivers/virus scan/uninstall-reinstall), with the exception of a reinstall full backup disk Toshiba.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

I think we should first find out if the problem is software or hardware related.
In this case the installation of the operating system with the Toshiba Recovery CD is recommended.
After installation, the laptop should work without worries.

But if the unit will hang and not start properly there could be something wrong with the hardware.
I think that your warranty is valid and in this case you should always contact the ASP in your county for a check.

  • Satellite M70-165 PSM70E - battery charging problem

    Hello
My laptop is a Satellite M70-165 PSM70E. I use Windows XP Home Edition. I recently bought a new battery and it is impossible to charge more than 50%. I have updated the BIOS to 1.70 (for non Windows Vista users) and I still have the problems mentioned above. I tried to dischage completely and charge it again, several times, with no luck.

    Is there a solution?

Another question. There is no 'EC' in the BIOS version, only "BIOS version 1.70". I hope there will be some calibration of the battery or the power management after the BIOS update, but there is no menu "Power Management" in the BIOS.

    Is this correct?

    Thanks in advance.

    > recently bought a new battery and it is impossible to charge more than 50%

In my opinion the new battery is not OK.
You must consult an another new battery maybe you bought a battery already used?

    > Another question. There is no 'EC' in the BIOS version, only "BIOS version 1.70".
On the page of the Toshiba UE driver you can find a BIOS update.
I guess that this update contains the EC update too.

    Hi uygur,.

at first I thought your problem your laptop want boot from LAN.

Check the BIOS, could be formulated with pushing the ESC key when the Red TOSHIBA logo appears, enter on boot order (First Boot Device).

I think that your PC is the first device to set startup to local network.

Try this and keep me posted!

Hello, thank you for taking the time to read my post. I have a toshiba satellite a100 laptop, the keyboard is damaged and the battery no longer works. I just found access to a toshiba satellite a110, which is not as high in the specs, so I wonder...

-Keyboard toshiba satellite a110 works and adapt if it is placed in the a100?

-Toshiba satellite a110 battery works and adapt if it is placed in the a100?

If someone could tell me that I would be very happy.

    Thanks again for your time

    Hello

I think the keyboard could be compatible, but I doubt the battery designed for Sat A110 would be compatible with the model A100.

As far as I know the Satellite A100 supports the 9 cell, 6000mAh
    PA3478U-1BRS or 12 PA3400U-1BRS battery and the A110 supports PA3457U-1BRS Battery Pack Li-ion (4300mAh, 8 cells)
