  I upgraded my dell E521 to Vista dimension, but now finds that none of the CD/DVD drives work.  I also tried two external drives, same thing.  I downloaded the new drivers for the internal disks and when I tried to install the windows said they already had the best drivers.  Both drives are TSST - I get device status "windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device.   In general, the error can be caused by a missing required device driver, a required binary file is damaged, if there is a problem with the process I/O file, or if a pilot that makes reference to an entry point in another binary file which can not load

  You can try to uninstall and reinstall the driver for the device to solve this problem.

  Step 1: Uninstall the CD/DVD driver. Follow this step to do the same thing:

  a. click the Start button, select Control Panel, click System and Maintenance and then click Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  b. expand CD-ROM/DVD-Rom drives-> right click on the device, and then click Properties.

  c. on the device properties dialog box, click the driver tab, and then click on uninstall.

  d. restart your computer.

  Step 2: Reinstall the CD/DVD driver by visiting the manufacturer's Web site.

  OK, I have a good for you I tried to solve without success either.

  I recently downloaded AOE3 the Warchiefs demo to see what it looked like. When I tried to uninstall it it has failed and says Unhandled Exception

  I've since tried everything to remove this but no luck.
  First of all, I tried to uninstall and have since deleted the folder containing all the data of AOE3... Without success.
  I tried to delete all the data of AOE3 with the registry, but that did not help.
  I tried to reinstall a new copy and get the same warning.
  What is more, in the list of programs, it shows AOE3 Warchiefs trial package yet and indicates it is 58.4 concerts?

  Help, please.

  Welcome to Microsoft Answers Community Forums.

  As you have tried several times to reinstall and uninstall the program, I suggest you perform a disk cleanup as a first step to delete all temporary files from your computer.

   

  Please see the instructions to perform disk cleanup,

   

  1. open Disk Cleanup by clicking the Start button, tap all programs, accessories, click System Tools, and then click Disk Cleanup.

  2. in the Disk Cleanup Options dialog box, choose whether you want to clean your own files only or all files on the computer.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  3. If the Disk Cleanup: drive selection dialog box appears, select the hard disk where you have tried to uninstall the software and then click OK.

  4. click the Disk Cleanup tab and select the check boxes for files that you want to remove.

  5. When you have finished select the files you want to delete, click OK, and then click Deletefiles to confirm the operation. Disk Cleanup on delete all unnecessary files from your computer.

  After you have completed the steps listed above, please download and install the Windows Installer Cleanup utility to remove installation information for programs that were installed by using Windows Installer.

  Dear anyone, I had the same problem. One day, my sound card / audio just stopped. X red on the sound icon. My CD/DVD worked fine but no sound. I uninstalled the sound card, updated drivers... everything I could find... nothing worked. I run only Vista 32 bit with a Realtek AC 97 integrated sound. I deleted: for FILTERS LOW Dword value (Mine was something that read like LVUSB or some such), I restarted and did not leave Windows Installer automatically... don't leave... it will give you everything _ mentioned above. I reinstalled my sound of a pack of Realtek for Vista. Lo and behold... sound is back. Vista still hate the pilot but did before cuz Vista sucks... but it works like any other so... screw it!   ·        It's a wired keyboard or a wireless keyboard?

  ·        Who is the manufacturer of keyboard?

  ·        Since when are you facing this problem?

  ·        You did changes to the computer before this problem started?

  ·        Have you tried to restart the computer and check if the keyboard works normally?

  However, you can try to uninstall all the previous and software drivers installed for the keyboard by following the steps below.  More later, restart the computer and install the latest drivers and software and check if that helps you solve the problem.

  Step 1

  Remove the drivers from the computer. To remove the drivers to follow the steps below:

  a. Click Start and enter the type of search box of start of the press and "appwiz.cpl".

  b. in the programs and features window select the keyboard software installed on the computer and uninstall the drivers.

  Step 2

  During the uninstallation, the device in the Device Manager, make sure that you follow the steps below:

  a. Click Start.

  b. access control panel > system > hardware > Device Manager.

  c. open Device Manager and expand the keyboard device.

  d. right-click on the device keyboard and uninstall the device.

  During the uninstallation of the device in Device Manager, make sure that you place a tick against 'delete the driver for this device '.

  Step 3

  I can't get my Dell Insperion to recognize a second SD card. It will recognize a card inserted in the integrated housing initial, but later maps not be recognized.  If I restart the computer then it will recognize a card again.  I get the following error message "Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device because a previous instance of the device driver is still in memory.   If you try to insert two cards at the same time that would be normal given that the card reader is bound to a single channel of USB. It all depends on how your computer has been configured when it was built.

  If you remove the first card and insert another card it is possible that you are not just right-click on the map in file Explorer and ejecting the card before you remove them.

  Looks like you're working with the Enterprise Business Suite (EBS). The error you are getting is because the forms cannot find a referenced object. This is because the directory where your TEMPLATE.fmb (and the objects made reference to the template.fmb form) is not in your FORMS_PATH. If you use Windows, modify the registry and Add the directory where you have your objects of reference to the FORMS_PATH entry. Make sure you add it at the end of the existing value; not to replace the existing value.

  I have SATELLITE A200-10W, HOME PREMIUM installed with SP1. I use it more than a year. All of a sudden it happened that my laptop stop responding and then I rebooted.
  My touchpad and keyboard stop working, but I connect as a user of the window through KEYBOARD to the SCREEN.
  In Device Manager I CAUTION icon on the keyboard and inside, it says under DEVICE STATUS which

  i8042prt.sys and kbdclass.sys files are attached as a driver in detail.

  My keyboard works during BIOS and even when I boot with the CD bootable operating system WINPE, my keyboard is not working, even typing everything inside this environment, but not in the normal window.

  You has made changes to the system before the error appearing?  Cancel the changes.

  (1) in Device Manager > right click on the driver, and then select uninstall

  Reboot and Windows will reload the driver

  (2) remove the upper & lower filters that cause errors in Code 31
