Satellite A300-15 has back to factory settings

Hello!

I have an old Satellite A300-15 and I want to go back to factory settings after almost seven years of never format the hard drive.

I did a little research on this 'how... "but I still don't know if the laptop comes with a windows recovery or not.

I have another laptop with a score of "windows recovery", but in my toshiba, the only thing I see is a recovery of HARD drive file in my E: partition. I don't really know if that helps the reinstallation of windows.

So if I reset the laptop with the method 'laptop computer Tower, hold the blah blah 0 button"it completely format my C: and need to reinstall windows or not?

(Running Windows Vista)

How it works with the recovery image installation, you can read on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R02.htm

Start your laptop with F8 and choose the option to repair your computer. Follow the instructions on the screen and you will be able to install the original recovery image.

Installation of recovery described called the installation of HARD drive recovery. With other words, saved on the HARD disk in the folder HDDRecovery recovery image will be reinstalled on the C partition only and the second partition of HARD drive will not be deleted or formatted.

In my opinion, that you create the recovery using disc (DVD) preinstalled creator Toshiba recovery disc. You can use created bootable disks to install original Vista. When you use discs, the whole HARD disk will be deleted, formatted, new partitions created and installed Vista end.

If you have any other questions you are welcome.

  • Satellite A300 - how to reset to factory settings?

    Hello everyone,

first of all, sorry for my English, it is not my native language and I do a lot of mistakes, I hope you can understand me correctly.

My problem is that I have a toshiba Satellite A300 provided with Windows Vista op time after I have bought I installed windows 7 on it (you know, so new that I have to try). Now, my problem is I want to reset my phone. I have the recovery disks, and the folder HDDRecovery D: but my computer cannot read.

What can I do? I tried a lot of things... How can I reboot my computer to factory settings?

    Hope you can help me,

    Best regards.

    Hi biguri,.

After the installation of another operating system, you will need to use the Toshiba Recovery disk to restore to factory settings. That means Vista preloaded with all the drivers and tools you get back if you boot from the recovery disc and follow the on-screen instructions.

But don't forget to make a backup of the important files like photos, videos, etc., because the recovery disk will wipe the entire HARD disk.

You have problems with the recovery disk?

Do you have a recovery CD?
This disc is necessary if you want to restore the laptop back to factory settings.

If you n t have this disc then you will need to use a clean Microsoft Windows CD (Win XP would be the best) for the installation of the OS.

Toshiba drivers can be downloaded from the European driver Toshiba page
Because this device is an oldie, the drivers have been moved to the archives (in the product type click on archive).

Your profile shows OS X currently installed 10.6.2, I doubt that this is correct. Please tell us which version of Mac OS X is installed, and then we can tell you what to do to configure the computer to factory settings. Basically, you will need to do a wipe and the installation of Mac OS X, but how step has changed between 10.6.x and current versions of Mac OS X.

  • How can I get my computer back to factory settings?

my computer is slow and I want to restore it back to factory settings, so this has nothing about it except the important things, like when you get everything first... does anyone know how to do this?

Note that if you save all the important things, it will be lost after the reset.

After the reset, you should get all the updates from Windows Update EXCEPT for hardware devices. Then, you install a good antivirus. ONLY AFTER you have done this, if you replace the stuff of backups or install anything else.

Your laptop is equipped with a recovery instead of disk partition

    .

This is how the recovery partition is available for the most popular brands

For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

You may need to try several times to get everything above to work. If after several attempts, you have no chance, or the machine indicates that there is no recovery partition, your only option is to contact the computer manufacturer and ask for the model recovery discs...

Did you check the manual of your laptop?
You will find all the information about to reinstall your laptop or you get back to factory settings. Also you can find here a large number of discussions on this subject so you should only use the search function.

But if you have Vista on your laptop computer you can restore the factory settings if you use HARD drive recovery or you create the recovery disk. For HARD drive recovery works you should only go into the advanced boot menu by pressing F8, select Repair my computer and follow the instructions on the screen.
With drive recovery it s similar: just boot from the floppy disk and follow the instructions on the screen.

  • Yoga 11 s - back to factory settings

I need to get the recovery CD for my yoga 11s to put it back to factory settings?

    How can I achieve this?

    Please can someone help?

    Thank you

You don't mention that you have created a recovery machine USB flash disk before the original failure to SSD, so I would say that you should contact the technical support number in my post above. They should be able to explain what options you need to recover your factory licensed operating system / configuration of the machine.
