  Hi - I was wondering if anyone can help?
  I just got a Satellite A300-177, however when I connect it to the internet (I tried broadband wireless and mobile) images and low resolution is pixelated. I think that sometimes happens, but there is usually an option on a laptop to remedy (to do with disabling the option of your laptop, save images low resolution to run faster) however this particular model does not seem to have this option (as tested by our technician COMPUTER)!

  Please can someone tell me if they have the same problem before I return it because I like really this laptop apart from that!

  This part of the operating system or Internet Explorer option? This option does not for me because I never noticed anything like that.
  I also believe that the COMPUTER technician knows the difference between the responsibility of Toshiba and Microsoft. If this option is part of the operating system or THE Toshiba has nothing to do with this and you should check the Microsoft Knowledge base to see if there is a report thereon or similar problems.

  I m atm overseas, so I really want to try to solve this problem by myself.

  OK I watched a movie yesterday and that it ended the laptop locked up, it doesn't allow me to ctr, alt, del nothing...
  So I waited a few minutes and tried again to ctr, alt, del still frozen. Press and hold the power for a few seconds and I stop it like that. When it restarts I chose mode without failure, but when I was asked for my password the keyboard wouldn t work very I couldn t type it.

  I had to use my external mouse and close the power option.
  I chose normal mode the next time it restarts, but it sat on the screen of vista just until the password is displayed for hours.

  Is that what I do guys?

  At first, I must say that I don't know what you mean under transfer.
  I have Satellite A300 and dual boot with Windows XP Home edition and Win7 so I can say that Satellite A300 works perfectly with Win7, much better then Vista.

  What you can do is:
  # To upgrade Vista preinstalled for Win7 (the two 32-bit) or
  # Install Win7 using Microsoft installation disc. All the necessary drivers, tools and utilities must be installed Additionally one by one. Each of them you can find and download from Toshiba support page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > support & downloads.

  I did a backup of the hard drive and now want to restore the settings in the beginning.

  I tried to download a Vista recovery disk but the laptop does not start.

  By pressing F8 after turned it on does not give me the option to repair the computer and pressed zero start up makes no difference.

  However, you can order the recovery DVD Toshiba from here:

  Hello, I have this problem with Toshiba satellite A300.

  I deleted several files and folders of my drives C and E. To restart the computer, it only shows the Toshiba logo then a slightly gray white screen on a thorough inspection. Whenever I press CRL + ALT + DELETE, the computer restarts and behaves in the same way.

  I tried to use an external monitor, but there is no difference. The tent to start using a CD/DVD, same behaviour occurs, it does not start and screen remains blank after the Toshiba logo, I tried even to change g the order of boot, but in vain.

  It seems that you deleted system files and Windows no longer starts. Have you tried to restore the disk image factory settings or hard drive recovery? Or do copy the Windows installation... It is easier to reinstall rather fix the problem.

  Which key have to press on my Satellite Pro M70 - 220 starting Win XP, in order to enter the "Advanced Start Menu" - in other words, the menu that gives various boot options, such as safe, last good start Congiguration, start Windows Normal Mode, etc. ?

  On my old laptop Satellite 5105 - S702, it was the F8 key, but by pressing the F8 key on my M70 Pro does not bring up the 'Start Advanced Menu".

  It should work on all computers.
