  In the worst case the screen resolution is not supported :(

  But you can check the following:

  Go to settings of display properties (right click on desktop > properties > settings). Click Advanced, and then select the monitor tab. * Uncheck * the box Hide modes that this monitor cannot display.

  After this check again the screen to external monitor resolution.

  To change the Screen resolution, do the following:

  Step 1: Right click on the desktop and select Screen Resolution screen resolution window.

  Step 2: You can see the current screen resolution then the resolution box. If the resolution is less than 1024 x 768 pixels, you can set a higher resolution, if your PC supports. To change the resolution in progress, click resolution box and select a higher resolution.

  Your description is not very clear, are the main steps to configure your display:

  -Make sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card & monitor installed Windows 7 .

  -Search in the manual of your monitor and find out what the native resolution & refresh rate are for example (1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz), then go to:

  Start-> Control Panel-> display

  -If you have black borders around your screen, you should increase the size of your screen through the software installed normally with your graphics card. For a basic card ATI look for a feature called overscan/underscan. Look for the option to increase the size of the desktop in the nVidia Control Panel for nVidia cards.   the results. If you are satisfied with the result, keep them and go to
