Satellite A300 - 1HP Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 'Penryn' question
Hello
I have some problems with the T8100 CPU in my notebook. The energy saving features, especially Speedstep, does not work properly under Windows Vista and XP. If I use High Performance in Vista Power Options, the processor switches between 1.25 GHz and 2.1 GHz.
The minimum and maximum processor state is set to 100%. I also installed XP and Toshiba Power Saver, the automatic CPU processing speed does not work it and this tool needs to be updated! I hope that these problems will be fixed soon!
Enhanced Intel Speedstep Technology require a compatible BIOS, a compatible operating system and a compatible Intel processor.
Satellite A300-1HP supports all of these features.
But I wonder how did you test the CPU performance and why you're suggesting that this feature does not work properly? ?:|
To my knowledge the Core 2 Duo CPU run * always * better performance.
If the performance of the processor are not necessary the CPU will then lower to save energy and reduce heat dissipation.
So I don't really see any problems with the Intel Speedstep technology!
By the way; I noticed that the new BIOS updates are rented on the Toshiba page. Try to update the BIOS.
Good bye

Upgrading 6.0.2 to 9-0-1 on a Mac 10.6.8 Intel Core 2 Duo
Have a Mac Mini Intel Core 2 Duo 10.6.8 and want to upgrade 6.0.2 to 9.0.1 that our Bank has asked that we have upgraded as soon as possible for safety reasons, I tried several times, but the upgrade stops with 4 minutes still to go. Modernization seems to work with two steps. All first with a form with a fill with blue line. It goes on and on. Once I got to the next shape that has a line that fills in blue. He's going to the stop with 4 seconds to go.
You can try it on 10 of Firefox?

Can I replace the memory and not to lose what's on the memory of the former? I have a Mid 2007, 20 "desktop Mac, Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GHz processor, 1 CPU, 4 MB L2 cache, 4 GB of memory, 800 MHz bus speed. I have a backup device. A RAM slot is damaged.
You are confused of RAM and disk space available.
RAM stores information temporarily while the Mac is enabled and the application is reached. RAM replacement has no effect on the long term of your information storage.
The hard drive is where your information is stored in the long term. If you replace your hard drive, you need restore the information from a backup.
FYI, for your iMac, the maximum RAM is only 6 GB.

I have a MacBook Pro 17 withProcessor - in 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (circa 2007). Running OS 10.7.5 (Lion). System indicates the computer is not compatible with OS later. Hardware can be upgraded to the latest processors and other components to make it compatible with the latest OS. I think that later models of Macbook Pro 17-inch with processors that allow updates. I was wondering if these can be swapped or if alternatives were available.
Only the RAM and storage (HD, SSD) can be changed. Everything is welded to the map logical and selected specially for the system configuration.
I'm sorry.

My I Mac computer is older than 6 years and became slower and slower. I added the memory once in the past which has contributed to the speed. He was clocked at 2.66 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo for a processor and memory is 4 GB 800 Mhz DDR2 SDRAM. I wonder if I it is better to buy more memory or if the computer needs to be replaced, it still works very well for email and working on small documents, but it is really slow and crashes when working with images and large files. Any advice is welcome.
I have a similar computer. It will accept 6 GB of memory. It is far from slow and Etrecheck reports he cited as excellent. I think you have some unnecessary baggage in tow. Why not download and do a report for us Etrecheck. Publish it as an answer, here, and maybe we'll find the reasons...

Satellite A300-1HP is not in sleep mode after 30 minutes inactivity
Satellite A300 1HP is not in sleep mode after 30 minutes inactivity.
Windows settings are OK (I'm an experienced user).
He goes to sleep, if I do it manually (by pressing the power button) - but not after inactivity,Any idea?
Norbert.
Hello, Norbert
Maybe you should check the settings of Vista power again. I have too many A300 and everything works fine.
I tested it with all three power plans. Have you done the same?Usually, I use the BALANCED power plan and enter mode standby 20 minutes correctly.

Hi all
I want to upgrade my HP Compaq 8510p.
I have an Intel Core 2 Duo T8300 installed. It's pretty fast, but I would need to increase the RAM memory. Unfurtunately, it only supports 3 GB. I searched the web and found the T9600. Similarly, the T9700 and the Q9100 have a the same base (P) and have been suggested here: http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/CPUs/Intel/Core_2_Duo_Mobile/T8300 _ (Socket_P) .html
On the other hand, I've read, the Quad may not be supported by the motherboard, which im my case seems to be called 30CS KBC Version 71.36
My BIOS version is the Ver.F.15 of 68MVD
I would be grateful for any help regarding this issue.
Thank you.
Alex
Here is the Service Manual that answers all the questions:
See p. 24. Top of page processor listed is a T9500. Quad is not supported. Other processors dual-core as a T9900 might work, but you're better off to take the manual is correct.
The laptop can support that 3 GB RAM because you are not running a 32 bit OS. It is capable of up to 8 GB, but it uses DDR2 and 8 GB of DDR2 memory is very expensive; well over US $100.

My Tecra A8 Celeron or Intel Core 2 Duo processor processor?
I have a Tecra A8 (PTA83E-04R039EN) T7200/1024 / 100 G 54/15WT/DS2/L/M, it has a sticker on the top for Intel centrino duo processor. All read ups and support show is a processor core 2 duo with 4 MB of cache.
However when I do a utility ID of Intel processors and software benchmark, it shows me that the processor I have is actually a Celeron M with 1 MB of cache.
This is correct?
Have I received the wrong processor in my machine or what?
Hope someone can answer this.I installed Vista and it also shows that it is a Celeron M 1.73 GHz?
Dr. Ayoub
Hello
According to the specifications of the laptop, your laptop comes with Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 (2.0 GHz) CPU processor. I recommend you to call ASP in your country. They can communicate directly with Toshiba and offer you the best answer.

Qosmio G30-189 BIOS update to support Intel Core 2 Duo (MEROM)
Hello!
Can you tell how Toshiba will get a BIOS update to support the new processor intel core 2 duo mobile cpu.
1.4 real BIOS does not recognize the new CPU type.Toshiba offers a core 2 duo based qosmio G35-650 USA a bios should be available.
Of course I now that this makes the gurantee disappear.
Help, please.
Greetings
Marcus Reichert
Hi Marcus
I think that no one knows when the new BIOS update will be available. You can check the BIOS download page only from time to time. All that s.
The situation on the American market is unknown to me, but you can't compare it with the EU market. There is big difference and you know that the U.S. market is always in front of our EU market.

I have an iMac7, 1 with Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8 GHz, 2 GB memory, 500 GB storage, iOS10.6.8 and can update in 10.11.2. must I do cela or are there problems with the upgrade?
I don't know about other issues. There are always 'problems' with any upgrade. You weigh against the benefits. I know that you need more RAM. At least 4 GB, maybe more if you can. Don't forget that this system is produced at a time when most of the machines have + 8 GB RAM and when Apple said 'minimum' they really mean it. I recently inherited a MacBook that has 2 GB of RAM and the Mavericks. When I checked the memory, the use of the system was using 1.95 GB = nothing to run applications!

-Modem
-O2Micro SD storage device

Thanks in advance!Best regards

Your Satellite A300 belongs to the series of PSAJ4E and the Toshiba site for this model are not 64-bit drivers available.
I think you must search on external Web sites for the drivers and try to download and install the VAP from another model of laptop.
As far as I know the sound driver and modem, you can get on this site:
