Satellite A300-288 does not load the operating system
Today I turned on my laptop A300 and does not load the operating system. In other words, Toshiba logo appears, the message "Press F2 to enter SETUP", but not in continuity with the boot. Yesterday it worked and did not update the BIOS or something else.
Someone has an idea? I deleted a both SDRAM and vice versa, to check that the problem wasn't RAM, but no. There is no beep. LED touch 'NumLock' and other, power on and off when I have impulses, so the keyboard responding but by pressing F2 or F12 does nothing.
Thank you very much for your help.
Start your laptop with F8 and test if you can start the operating system in safe mode.
Model number: PSAGCA-02W010
Vista won't load; have you tried to start repair; System Restore and boot in safe mode, none of them work. I get the error "error 0 x 80070570: the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable."
I don't know what I did with my recovery CD; or if I even got one with my purchase (from Harvey Norman).
Please tell us what can be done.
What you can try is to install Vista using disk HARD recovery option.
How it works, you can read on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm
If it works all the data saved on the C partition will be deleted but the data saved on the D partition will always be there.
I'm trying to download the first trial pro, unfortunately I'm not allowed cause they say "Adobe does not support this operating system.
Without knowing anything about your system, it is difficult to say. See if you can find what you need through the following links...

I have a Toshiba Satalite A300 PSAG8E, which does not load.
I was given a few days ago by a person stating that he is not working or light - vague details.
At the reception that he turned on, asked to start windows normally or not, then started absolutely perfect, it powered by the charger, no problem.
I let him on during some time different tasks.
I came to him a few days later to find that he had himself set to off.
I enabled again, how he asked to start windows normally or not. I started normally, and it came on the property.
Since then I could not to power it on the sector.
Why not load it now?
> Since I could not to power it on the sector.
> Why didn't he care now?
I m a bit but confused. What's wrong now? You are not able to feed the device or battery is not charging?
If you are not able to turn on the unit, then you should try this:
-Disconnect the battery and AC adapter
-wait a while (2-3 hours)
-connect the two parties to laptop and check again
If your battery does not load:
Try to update the BIOS and set its default value
If that does not help, then the battery should be checked
If the new battery does not solve the problem, then the motherboard must be checked and replaced if necessary.
My Satellite C855-1GN will not load Windows.
After pressing start it say starting windows the four colors appear in the center of the screen and seem to vibrate slowly but will not following charge.
I ve restarted and run the fix for the system, but it cannot solve the problem, run the system restore but luck is.
Can anyone help?
I put t really want to reload the discs so it s not necessary that the girl has loads of work United to this topic.
She may lose.
see you soon
You are able to access the advanced boot menu by pressing F8 while turning on the unit?
If you are able to do so, you should try to start the computer using one of the advanced options available in the start menu.
You can try to start the laptop computer using the last known good configuration or you can try to repair the system by automatically selecting the repair my computer option, you can try to start the machine in safe mode to access important data on the HARD drive.
Finally (after data backup) I would recommend to recover the laptop using the Toshiba recovery media
My friend has a laptop Satellite A300-1MC that no longer works. When the laptop is on, it indicates that the hal file is missing. I know that we need to buy the recovery cd, since she did not have one when she bought the laptop.
Can someone direct me to the Toshiba site, where you can buy these recovery CD since then?
If not, can someone give me the phone number of support Toshiba UK.
Thanks in advance.
Recovery media can be ordered under https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx
Toshiba UK support phone number is unknown to me, but maybe you can find it under http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/home/
By the way: why you need assistance? You have some serious problems?

Hi all, after 3 days of searching for any type of information I've found this site and I hope that someone can help me.
I have a Satellite A300-1J1, and had to do a complete reinstall of Windows using my recovery disk that was provided with the laptop (Vista Home Premium).
In any case, the installation went well and he had restarted and said I had to activate Windows is not a problem, I thought looked under laptop for key typed in there and it will not recognize the CD as being for Vista Premium key. Now how is that possible that the disc that came with the laptop and the CD key is there?
Any help is greatly appreciated
I know it may seem stupid now, but your story is somewhat strange. Why?
To the first Satellite A300 laptop computers are never shipped with recovery DVDs. Recovery DVDs must be created by the owner of the laptop. All A300 laptop come with what is called HARD disk image. AFAIK some A300 laptop computers come with an additional CD/DVD but it is recovery of Windows XP Home or Vista 64-bit edition, but laptop always comes with Vista Home Premium 32 - bit (recovery of HARD drive image).
So the question is what installation media you are using exactly? Is - this support recovery, that you created yourself or a version of Microsoft?
Original Toshiba recovery image is created for each laptop model separately and should not be enabled.
Recovery image can not be downloaded. If you want to have another copy, you must order it under https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx
Just purchased lightroom 6 but failed to install. Error message operating system not supported. I have windows 7. What can I do to install correctly?
About Vista, but is not https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1836232
It says Startup Repair is checking your system for problems. If problems are found Startup Repair will be correct automatically. Then he will say: the Startup Repair cannot repair this computer automatically. Send information about this problem
And then he said access to retrieve options log in as an administrator. I forgot the password of administrator or local user
Microsoft prohibits any aid granted for passwords forgotten here.
If you have forgotten your password, how can I connect normally to use your desktop computer?
Are you sure that this request for password is not not to do with the Acer recovery process?
You can read this information:
"Some Acer models have a default password that you use to start the process of recovery from the recovery Partition 'hidden'.
Usually press you Alt + F10 at startup to start the process of relocation and Acer default password should be 6 zeros, unless someone has changed.
If not, give Acer a phone call. »

I received a notification via Tempro that he did not have a BIOS upgrade. I downloaded the ZIP file (bios - 20120209125153.zip), extract the package (BIOS360_EC140_WIN.exe) and ran it according to the instructions.
The package runs, give the progress bar "extract files...". ", then displays a dialogue entitled"TOSHIBA BIOS package Ver.4.1.2"that says:"this package BIOS does not support this operating system."
I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit on a Satellite 830R-143 with the short part No. PT32LE
Does anyone know what is the problem?
Thanks in advance for your help...
You have problems with the laptop?
If not then why you want to do the BIOS? Just because the new BIOS is released?
I would not change anything if my laptop is running correctly.
However, the update of the BIOS requires the VAP (value added package).
So remember that this PPV is installed correctly. If this isn't the case, so far.

Why Safary does not load the content of pages? I mean, when I hover over the places where should be the content, he is always showing the "redirect to: [email protected]/" lower left. My Safari is 9.5 and worked fine until Safe Fimder Virus get inside my computer. Mozilla Firefox is a bit slower. If someone could give me an idea on how to deal with it, I would be happy.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.
- Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
26 of Firefox does not load the home page. Instead, it load the previous session, regardless of what has been entered in 'Options '. The browser runs in Win 7.0 64 bit; Norton Internet Suite 21 provides security features. There are some solutions 'cloud', also running as Google Drive, box, Skydrive and Cubby. The browser behaves in the same way in all my machines (installation and the OS is similar to that described above) and no amount of reset 'Options' seems to affect it. Nor is it affected by the way that Firefox is closed. This is obviously a bug that should be fixed.
You can check if you have a user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that affects the pref browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once true value.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
