Hello

Have you installed the right graphics card driver?
The Sat A300-1GN belongs to the PSAGCE series.
I checked the page of the Toshiba driver and there are two pilots;
I think that you should choose the ATI driver 8.477 display because this driver supports the Mobility Radeon HD 34xx/36xx chips.

Other base system devices could be Bridge Media slot (for SD cards), touchpad, HDMI Control Manager.

I didn't find these drivers 64-bit on Toshiba page. Maybe you should choose some drivers for Vista 32 bit

    Hello

May I ask if you have noticed a high temperature, while the laptop stops automatically?
Usually, the high temperature is the main reason for this unexpected closure of the bottom.

The high temperature may appear if the cooling module does not work correctly because of the dust or debris inside the fans.
Cleaning if this can be useful.

I clean my fans from time to time with the help of compressed air jet and it's good enough to clean the fans

  • Satellite A300 and Windows 7

Hi all. First of all I am sorry for my bad English - I to little practice.

    Can I transfer my win Vista sp2 (x 32) to Win7 (x 32) on my laptop Satellite A300-1QF (?) PSAGCE-06F00JRU)?
Is there any trouble with drivers/devices/something else? If it is, are there ways to avoid?
I hate vista (((want to try vin7)))

    Thanks for the help!

    Hello

At first, I must say that I don't know what you mean under transfer.
I have Satellite A300 and dual boot with Windows XP Home edition and Win7 so I can say that Satellite A300 works perfectly with Win7, much better then Vista.

    What you can do is:
    # To upgrade Vista preinstalled for Win7 (the two 32-bit) or
    # Install Win7 using Microsoft installation disc. All the necessary drivers, tools and utilities must be installed Additionally one by one. Each of them you can find and download from Toshiba support page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > support & downloads.

If you need help let us know.

  • Satellite A300 - Windows Vista restarts on shutdown

I just have to drive HARD on Satellite A300, Vista recovery and it gives me problems when I try to close it, it just restarts. It doesn't matter if it is on battery or plugged in. I have the point on the BIOS, did you install in power options, but still the same problem. I have the card WiFi and non-functional network, if anyone thinks that maybe that's the problem. All entries are welcome.
    Thank you

    Hi dadtheman,

Did you check if all devices are properly installed in Device Manager? Check for exclamation marks Device Manager yellow and if there are some unknown devices.

Also try to disable wake up on LAN and keyboard as Akuma has suggested.

  • Satellite A300 PSAG0A: Vista to XP downgrade question

I just bought a Satellite A300 with the following details:

Model satellite A300/Y00 (exclusive to Dikc Smith Electronics in Australia)
    PSAG0A-02Y009
    2.1 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo T8100
    2 GB RAM DDR2 (667 MHz)
    250 GB SATA HARD drive
    Graphics Intel X 3100 (GM965)
MS Windows Vista Business pre installed
MS WIndows XP downgrade for A300 recovery disk media

Basically, I just turned on and configure everything, nothing about that fact yet, not even other software installed.
I immediately made 2 copies of the recovery of the product for Vista media. So the disc XP and Vista should have all the drivers on them.

I want to install a software particularly (for programming electronic components), but the company said that it is not fully compatible with Vista. Therefore, I would like to downgrade to XP and use it for 6 to 12 months, and later POSSIBLY roll back to Vista.

Now, the information provided by Toshiba are limited with respect to the downgrading to XP. (And there is absolutely nothing about to go back to Vista).
The documentation provided shows four options at retirement:
    1) recover to out-of-box-state,.
    (2) covers the single State of Windows,
    (3) recover without changing hard disk partitions,
    4) recover on a custom size partition. He then goes on to say "Please do not select 'Recover without changing the partitions of hard drive' as a method of recovery." Windows XP cannot be used by the composition of the partition of Windows Vista".

First of all, what are the ramifications of the other options? What is the best/worst one and why?

If I understand correctly, the partitioning of the hard drive must be changed for the downgrade to XP.
But in Vista, there is a separate partition to store data recovery, so that the partition will be changed (lost).
If ever I decide to go back to Vista, the Vista recovery media I created also change the partitioning to the way it was originally?

I dared not touch anything until I'm 100% sure of what needs to be done.
If anyone has any experience with this or advice, I would be grateful for your expertise.
Feel free to be as detailed and technical that you like - I want to 'understand' and not just 'do '.

    Thanks in advance,
    Robert.

    Hi Robert

I put t have Satellite A300 and I don t have an Australian notebook but I m, owner of another European model Satellite with preinstalled Vista operating system!
In any case, I want to share my experience with Vista and XP and of course the recovery procedure on E

First I noticed that the new notebook series is not delivered with the Toshiba Recovery CD but the image recovery is store on the HARD drive and you can create and burn image from own DVD.
    Seems that you already have.

As you already suggested the Vista supports 2 different partitions. A partition is the system partition and the partition of the other, smaller, hidden was created for Vista backup files. So if something goes wrong with your Vista operating system, you can use the repair function on Vista to repair the operating system. In this case, small backup partitions, hidden in necessary.

I also like Xp and that's why I installed it on my laptop. I didn't format t disc installed HARD but the XP on a new created partition.
You can create a partition in Vista's disk management.
In any case, I now have a dual boot OS and I use Vista and XP.

    With regard to the use of the Vista DVD recovery;
If you want to go back to Vista, you will need to boot from the Toshiba Recovery CD and the Vista installation process should begin.
But be aware that the Vista recovery CD would format the whole HARD drive.
It would erase the partitions and remove stored data.
Therefore, you must back up your data before that you would use the recovery CD!

Hope this little info will help you.

    Good bye

  • Problem with Satellite A300 and Vista 64 bit

I just bought a Toshiba Satellite A300-1CO model: PSAJ4E-03R015PT, which came with an impressive 4 GB of ram device.
I knew with Vista 32-bit, only 3 GB would be available, but since I got a license of Vista 64 bit I care, came home and installed it.
When I looked up the drivers on the toshiba site, no drivers for Vista 64 bit drivers were available!
I have now 4 GB or RAM available and I also have problems with face recognition software, microfone, sound card, card reader and a few other things.

I searched the websites manufactors drivers and I managed to get some of these things barely usable, I don't think that it is a SD solution.
Other laptop brands are made available long drivers for vista 64 bit some of them even for XP 64 bit!

I would like to know how long take to Toshiba do official drivers available for vista 64 bit on their Web site.

    Best regards, Pedro P.

I was looking for 64-bit drivers for my laptop, but since this is a new model, the drivers were not yet available. I checked a few weeks later and they were no longer available.

Just wait awhile, they should be available soon.

  • Re: Two questions on Satellite A300 and Win7 32 bit

    Hello

    I have a satellite A300 PSAJ4E windows 7 32 bit.
I installed all the drivers to Toshiba support, but I have 2 problems.
the first is that sometimes my screan does not open while the laptop is open and functioning. I know that his work because when I plug another screen his everything is ok.
the other problem is that I have an unknown device (ACPI\TOS6205)

    Can someone help me?

    Thank you

    > the first is that sometimes my screan does not open while the laptop is open and functioning properly
It is still problematic to discuss problems that sometimes occur. When this happens you can see Toshiba welcome screen or hear sounds of windows?
    > another DIF, is that I have an unknown device (ACPI\TOS6205)
I think that you need to install the bluetooth drivers.
    Find it here: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/?page=download-toshiba

  • Satellite A300 - and Vista recovery Question

I bought a Satellite A300 a few days previously, it automatically installed Vista without CD when I opened it.
Is it joint to come with a vista CD/DVD or I need to burn a Toshiba Recovery disk?

Pkozerski is right. Toshiba offers no support for recovery with new laptop models and this media must be created using the preinstalled recovery Toshiba creator tool.

To do this I advise you to use high quality in DVD-R format media. My favorite is TDK or Verbatim.
If you change anything in the future on your laptop, you'll be able to find your laptop using recovery image stored on the second partition.

If you need instructions specific to how make it please let me know.

  • Satellite A300 and WXP 64-bit

I know that Toshiba does not support this OS, but maybe someone knows how to solve this problem, or find the best drivers, please help...

Have you checked the sound settings they are ok and work?

I loaded windows on my sSatellite A300 10 overview

1 LAN connected only once, despite being the cable is connected. (wifi connection) Says he is disabled, but can not see as a network card or in Device Manager to activate
2 the back of the fingerprint scanner not connect to public services knows that it is a device but no connection?
3 drive DVD from Toshiba is a problem known to any idea on when it will be fixed
4 have been blocking Windows betweeen flag and research must restart to fix. other will have access on the start bar but not windows or research

Thank you very much for your interesting report.
Former Satellite A300 was originally shipped with Vista and has been supported for Win7 32 bit. Note even for Win8 so I do not think that Toshiba will do everything to offer drivers suitable for Win10.

What you can try is to use the drivers, tools and utilities designed for newer models and hope everything wil works correctly.

I am 100 & sure old A300 wil not be taken in charge for Win10.

  • Satellite A300 and WIn7 - cannot use the media buttons

    I have laptop Satellite A300.

Recently, I have reinstalled my Windows 7 Pro x 64 using the update (not clean install) option. So I kept my program and settings. But in the player Panel multimedia (or whatever it's called) that allows me to play, stop the music, changing songs etc does not work completely. I can't use 2 "buttons": one that allows me to toggle the highlighting and the other who turns on the media player.
I need their work. I got tired of Toshiba button support, but I don't know what to do here.

    Hello

You need to install is Toshiba Value added Package. I use Win7 on my A300 and all buttons work perfectly. But I use the 32-bit version.
I put t know if your A300 is supported for Win7 64 bit, but you can try to use THIS version.

Before you begin installation remove old version, if exist, restart the laptop and install this version.

I hope this will help you.

  • Satellite A300 and wireless connection problems

Recently, I had to use my recovery disk and restored my laptop to factory settings. Almost everything is back is the way has been, except for a small problem.

The WiFi does not work. It is on, but when I go to connect to the wireless family network, it tells me to insert a cable.

My laptop is the Satellite A300 - model psagca.

I install the drivers of Realtech and still not get the case.

    Thank you in advance.

Your wireless network is not visible to your laptop satellite?

  • The cut on my Satellite A300 and it works without a keyboard

    Hi guys,.
I spilled half a glass of tea on my Toshiba Satellite A300. I dried quickly by opening and by blowing dry air into it. The laptop works very well with the keyboard removed but no way with the connected keyboard it will star bipping everywhere. A couple of questions here.

    (1) can I connect a keyboard external usb for awhile?
    (2) Technical Service charge me to replace the lid and the keyboard? Why the cover while plastic and metal? How is the coverage could be ruinned too? I understand the keyboard, but the cover? Give me a break.
    (3) private users can buy replacements of parts on the internet. Any address in Europe who trust someone? I pay 60 euros for the time of 5 minutes from the repairman to change its keyboard. I can do it by myself. It's not rocket science, and here a great site with instructions step by step.

Thanks for any help, I'd really appreciate it.

    See you soon,.

Maybe the cover is equipped with circuits attached to it? Maybe a touchpad or something like that.

Did you ask to SAV why the lid needs to be changed?
