  • Satellite L300 - cannot install XP and need drivers SATA

    Hello

Just download IMSM, I did nLite but still cannot install XP.
I need good Manager Intel Matrix Storage Manager to Intel Mobile Chipset 45 or the SATA drivers.

    Please help me

Intel Storage Manager, you can download on the Intel Web site. In the Readme file, you can see what chipsets are supported, but as far as I know the package contains drivers for all of the newer chipsets.

The easiest way if you have a floppy drive, you must download the Configuration utility from floppy on Intel sites. This creates a floppy disk with the drivers.

Otherwise, you must extract the .exe file. More information you can find in the readme file.

I think the problem is, as you said, that the previous version was not properly removed. I would setup a tool such as
"ccleaner" (free Internet) and clean your system registry and files. Maybe it works eventually. If not then your system in Mode safe start (press F8 during startup and check your system files again if some battery Bluetooth related files still exists and remove them if necessary)

  • Satellite A300 - cannot install the Win XP SP1

I tried to install my MS Windows XP existing operating system - original disc, has worked several times before - a model A300 - 29K, and it has not worked. (blue screen, error)

(Vista can be installed - if the machine is OK)

The question is: is it possible, that this model is not compatible with XP?
(this version of XP is old enough, only SP1 - I usually improve with SP3 after installation)
No idea how to install my version of XP on it?
(the machine is sold without an operating system - so not any disk with it)

    Thank you

    Hello

Of course, you can install Win XP. It s no matter what version is XP Pro, Home, MCE, etc..
The problem may be the lack of SP2 and SATA drivers!

First, you must create a disk for Win XP SP2 and SP3.
For this, you can use the nLite tool

Google for the nLite for more information

Secondly, you use nLite to include the SATA drivers for Win XP disk.
The SATA drivers are part of the Intel Storage Manager

There is a lot of discussion on the installation of the driver SATA I recommend to use the advanced search option and read the content.

  • Satellite A300 - cannot install display driver

So I formatted my laptop (A300-PSAGCA-0C301N) two nights ago, and be the fool I am I forgot to download and save the necessary drivers for my laptop.

So when I started the laptop on a new installation of Windows Vista 32 - bit on a freshly formatted drive, my resolution was 1024 x 768. However, the complete standard resolution for this laptop is in fact 1280 x 768 in this direction, however, when I went to 'Customize' the max resolution, I was allowed to have is 1024 x 768.

I went to this site http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/...download?os=15 and downloaded the drivers Wireless Lan wired and WiFi, the drivers of Intel Audio driver Chipset and ATI M82XT, M86 Display Driver.
However, once I downloaded and started to install the ATi driver, I received three error messages just after extraction. the first box indicating: "Catalyst Install Manager could not initialize the Manager of detection."
Just after the first box, I get another error box saying 'Catalyst Install Manager failed to initialize. "
and then a third box saying "Catalyst Install Manager could not initialize the Package Manager".

    After the third zone, it proceeds with the installation, but after accepting the agreement of the user, I get these boxes of error;
    "Catalyst install Manager initialization failed"
    "Could not find installable components!
and the installation screen then proceeds to say "Failure occurred at the facility".

I am running Windows Vista 32 bit and using the Super Administrator account, so UAC is non-existent.

Help please? I'm tired of being stuck at 1024 x 768.

BTW, my GPU is an ATi HD3450.

    Hi Kabura,

What happens if you install manual display driver through the Device Manager and the Advanced installation option where you can choose the driver and the directory yourself?
    It work?

I had a similar problem, and it worked for me

By the way: you must also install the latest Service Pack for Vista. See the Microsoft page for an update.

Last point but not the least, of you n t post an installation order. The order in which you have installed the drivers? In General, the chipset driver should be installed first, then the display driver.

    Hello

I have satellite A300 too and use it with Win7 32 bit. Everything works perfectly. It is very important to install all the drivers, tools and utilities, following the right installation order, so here is the list how I did it:

    Satellite A300 (PSAG8E) and clean Win7

    -Win7 (original Microsoft installation disc)
    -chipset driver
    -Storage Manager
    -display driver
    -driver sound
    -modem driver

    Driver - Synaptics

Win7 works well and I am very satisfied.

  • Re: Satellite A300 cannot start, cannot use the factory recovery

Hi all, I have a Satellite A300, which gave me problems in the past few weeks...

    I use Windows Vista

There are about 2 months in the beginning of the laptop problem, it restarts itself automatically before enter in windows (while in the windows loading screen, no blue screen, screen just suddenly darkens and restarts itself), but it will get finally in windows successfully after a few loops

but about 3 weeks ago, it just keeps looping and never get into windows, good news, it is that it can capture mode safe without problem

I've done everything I can to try and save, as play with msconfig, drivers, removing the Rams etc, but not luck

so, I save everything in safe mode and decided to restore the machine factory, but the problem is that when I boot up the computer by pressing 0 and enters the recovery screen, reboot loop will happen!

any idea? or y at - it another way to restore to factory without touching the windows installed in my laptop? is it a hardware problem or software?

I thought about the creation of recovery disks but my cd drive is not working properly, and I don't want to take the risk of buying an external cd drive not knowing not if the problem can be solved...

    Thank you very much!

    >.. .i don't want to take the risk of buying an external cd drive not knowing not if the problem can be solved...
That of right, but you must understand that it is not easy on this virtual path to offer an accurate explanation and diagnosis for your problem.

It is not easy to tell whether it is hardware or software related issue. best way to test is installation of recovery image. Recovery image is tested and if there are no some portable hardware problem should work fine. How to install the recovery image, which you can read on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R02.htm

    >.. .or is there another way to restore to factory without touching the windows installed in my laptop?
Something like this is not possible. Windows that you use now needs to be reinstalled. I don't know why you the laptop restarts, but it's also the risk of recovery image installation. In case this recovery image installation will be interrupted, you will have two problems:
-image of original recovery saved on your HARD drive will be unusable
-you will not be able to start t

In your situation the best is to minimize this risk and have original recovery DVD that can be used if something goes wrong.
    > but the problem is that when I boot up the computer by pressing 0 and enters the recovery screen, reboot loop will happen!
Can you please explain what is exactly happening? Is - this laptop is simply cut off / go to the coast and then reboot again or what?

  • Satellite A300: cannot start: blocked by Phoenix TrustedCore Setup Utility

    {SUMMARY: "Phoenix TrustedCore Setup Utility" appears every time you start, requesting a non-existent password.} How to get rid of this request? }

This one is a little weird. We have a Tosh Satellite A300-193 mobile (Code manufacturer: PSAJ1E-01000XEN) purchased from July 2008 (via Getech educational scheme). We have (had) Kaspersky Anti-virus on this subject, but since his license has expired (and they didn't really like it), I was going to remove and install Avast.

Kasperky removal instructions involve have their tool "kavremove" who say their instructions must be run in safe mode. So, after downloading the tool, I pressed F8 to boot into safe mode...

... And that's where things went wrong. Instead of typical black screen startup options screen, I got a splash screen at the level type, with a request for password of "Phoenix TrustedCore Setup Utility. We have never set a password on this computer, and I've never seen this particular screen before. After three bad guess (of course they're wrong!, and it does not matter if I leave the field blank), the unit turns off.

Now when I turn it on, it just goes right to the request for password of Phoenix: I hit F2, F12, F8 or whatever it is. I can't establish why it should do, or how I can possibly bypass it. None of my password guess work (of course).

I googled for hours (literally), closes the thing, I could find were instructions in [a post on the forum USA | http://forums.toshiba.com/t5/Windows-Vista-Windows-XP/Satellite-A205-Cannot-Access-BIOS/m-p/123075#M7749]. It was a partial solution: we can start the machine with this procedure (phew!).

Unfortunately, it is not a permanent solution. After EACH stop, at the next start-up presents impossible demand "password." So it comes to pull the battery (again), to the phase of "discharging", battery, turn on and - it boots. Or at least, he has every time so far.

This is going to be extremely painful. Any tips or to tackle the problem of pointers, which would be welcome. I will never see this request for password "Setup Utility".

    Thank you!

    Hello

I think the password loss is the BIOS password.
I m wondering why this password is displayed when starting if you have not set it

However, the point is that the BIOS password can be removed if you n t know this password.
Unknown BIOS password can be removed by a Toshiba authorized service partner.

  • Satellite A300-1 - disk HARD for XP drivers

    Hello

    I have Toshiba Satellite A300-1.
No recovery CD were delivered by Toshiba.
I have a laptop formatted, a valid key of XP, but I can't install it because it does not recognize the hard drive.

Where can I find the hard disk for my A300 1 drivers.

I'm really tired of finding a sollution for my new laptop.

    Thank you

    Hello

You are right. Recovery DVDs is not delivered because recovery image is saved on the second partition of HARD drive. After the first start, there is recall with exact explanation to create recovery DVDs using Toshiba Recovery creator tool.

If you ignore it, now you don't have the ability to create this DVD again. Really great!

Anyway, what you need now is driver SATA and it must be loaded at startup by using the F6 key. You can save it to diskette drive or create a clean bootable media.
On this thread, you can find an exact explanation on laptop Windows XP Home on Satellite Pro computer installation but the principle remains the same and you can do the same on your laptop.
