Satellite A300 - recovery to factory settings

I have recently updated from vista to Windows 7 and now I press F8 during the restart of my pc and access the repair mode option configure initial Setup no longer, even if the files on the second partition of HARD drive for this purpose remain there and intact

I also made a recovery CD using the software provided, Toshiba, just in case but that doesn't seem to work either, or am I missing some piece of software so that it can work?

Please help, I need this place and works with emergency

> I have recently updated from vista to Windows 7 and now I press F8 during the restart of my pc and access the repair mode option configure initial Setup no longer, even if the files on the second partition of HARD drive for this purpose remain there and intact

I guess the Win 7 update has changed the Boot Manager and this is why this option does not appear in any case.
The Toshiba Recovery disk that you have created can help you restore the laptop back to factory settings. But this means that the HARD drive all over would be formatted again and you will lose the Win 7 again.

To start the installation of the recovery disk, you must start from this drive and will have to follow the news on the screen.

  • Satellite C850D - error 10-FC12_045D during recovery to factory settings

    Hello

I own a C850D satellite with Win7 64-bit, and for several days, the system became extremely slow and inadmissible. I first thought of a virus so I started it in integrated security mode and running antivirus (MS security essentials), another analysis has been made to a live CD antivirus Kapersky but no virus was detected.

I took the decision to restore the whole system parameters according to the instructions of the user manual, and the restore process will fail with an error 10-FC12-045D.

I suspect that the cause is a faulty hard drive. 2 quesntions:

    1. can anyone confirm this diagnosis? Should I seek other ways to diagnose a hardware problem on this laptop?
2 - if it is confirmed that the HARD drive is broken, as I suspect, what is the process to get a new one and reinstall the OS Win7 to factory settings? I don't have any recovery media.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello

If your laptop still has factory settings follow the user s manuals recommendation and create recovery discs. Test you like these discs and try to install the recovery image. If the same problem occurs again and again I m afraid HDD can be the troublemaker.

I put t know if the warranty is still valid, but I recommend you to contact the nearest Toshiba authorized service provider and ask for help. Addresses and phone numbers, you can find on http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/generic/ASP_SUPPORT/

    Hello Toshiba community

All members of my family had used this computer and now it seems to me that he is infected with a large number of viruses. For example, now that I have renewed my McAfee subscription, my computer does not have McAfee. I double click on it and I just get the pop-up window of McAfee and it appears only in white. Also, when I try to run programs of browser such as Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, two of them don't open even.

I wanted to ask you is, how can I restore my Satellite L505D-S5965 to its factory settings? I know you might need a recovery disk, but y at - it another way?

  • Satellite A300 - recovery partition is lost

    EDIT:

The D: partition that contains the "HDD RECOVERY" folder was accidentally damaged by me and now the system only display the C: partition.
I tried to run the Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator but it shows the message: could not find file "hdd recovery."
How can I restart my laptop?

    Post edited by: melauf00

To burn the recovery disk, you have the Toshiba recovery disc creator.
This program is preinstalled on your laptop from the image of Toshiba.

But that's why the folder HDDRecovery must be on the D drive as far as I know. Otherwise it s is not possible.

If you create a partition of D again. Maybe it works.

  • When I'm not a recovery to factory settings.

I can't recover after recovering accidentally to the factory instead of more recent recovery settings

    N °

Once you do a restore to factory settings, you can not back.

This isn't like the system restore.

If you have lost data, you can try this:

If you have an installation clean back to factory settings, you normally wiped your hard drive clean during the process.

    You can try this program:

    http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/Recuva.html

Recuva is a file undeletion tool that allows you to analyze your hard drives or media cards for files that have been deleted or formatted. It presents you a list of files that have been found, as well as an assessment of their potential for recovery, a preview option, and a hex viewer to inspect the content. You can limit your search to files of a certain type (e.g. images, audio etc.) and choose between a quick and a thorough analysis approach. The program also includes a secure deletion option that allows you to permanently delete files that were found while parsing, to avoid any future recoveries.

  • Satellite L670-134 - recovery to factory settings is not possible

    Hi all

    1. Install of Win7 64 bit is dead and has been reinstalled at the same time another installation of WIN7. Now it's getting back to the original stand. Due to a regular WIN7 version has been (re-) installed, I can not exceed the recovery "TOSHIBA HDD RECOVERY" option!

The HARD drive got D: drive with the folder of HARD disk RECOVERY.
Is it possible to return to the original install of WIN7 from Toshiba?

Thank you very much in advance for any help.
    JonasE

    Hello

    > Due to a regular WIN7 version has been (re-) installed, I can not exceed the recovery "TOSHIBA HDD RECOVERY" option!

This means that the BMR is eliminated and changed and so the HARD drive recovery option isn't appearing any more in the start menu.

The option can be the use of the recovery diskette.
You can order a disk to recover here:

  • Restoration of my Satellite Pro M40 to factory settings

I recently got a laptop Satellite Pro M40 and it suffers from an infection. Before installing Norton I want to restore to as if it were new. I put t need no data on this at all and I don t have all the disks that have initially come with it.

    Can someone please?

If you want to have the factory again settings you need original recovery installation CD/DVD. Otherwise, you can do clean install of OS using the facilities of Microsoft CD.

For the first option, you need to order original recovery media by service provider authorized in your country. The second option install the Microsoft OS installations CD. All the necessary drivers, tools and utilities that you find on Toshiba download page http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com

  • How manually to create the Satellite A300 recovery DVDs

    Hi all!!

My cousin interrupted at first startup of Vista, resulting in a constant error while switching on the laptop (say a word about the disconnection of a camera or a media player). I decided to perform a clean install of Vista Home pre and everything was ok.

I have a return to the top of the HDD Recovery folder and tried to burn a DVD using as prototype of my recovery dvd (A200-1J0) who proved not bootable.
So, I would like to know if it is possible to make a recovery dvd manually (which means that without the wizard mentioned in the user manuals) for laptop Toshiba A300-17N.

Something like this is not possible. If the folder HDDRecovery still exists on the second partition, please start your laptop and press F8 for advanced startup option. Use first option on top for the repair of computers. Follow the menu und opt for Toshiba HDD recovery.

Reinstall the OS and create recovery DVDs using Toshiba tool preinstalled.

    Hey mate,

    > ERROR: file recovery database copy failed!
Sounds like a defective or maybe striped recovery disk

In my opinion, you should try another disc. ex: Microsoft Windows disk. If your disc of recovery which is defective, the Microsoft should work fine. After that, you can download and install all the drivers and tools of the Toshiba page.

In the worst case, it of a hardware malfunction, HARD drive or something else, but you should test another disk first. ;)
