  Next to the sound driver, you will need to install the Chicony webcam software.

• Satellite A300-1MC - WLan is not working - no network controller

  Just bought Satellite A300-1MC.
  It does not recognize Netgear wireless network (even with 'walk' "and switch alt F8 active), or a BT HomeHub network (is not 'see' their at all).

  To check device manager... can not see that there is no installed... wireless driver no wireless card doesn't seem to be listed. (Network controller has a yellow exclaim question). Network card installed is REALTEK RTL8102E PCI... which I think takes care of the wired ethernet connection).

  Any ideas how to get operating a wi - fi connection? (I have "worked around" the issue of a Wi - Fi connection using a card spare provided by NetGear USB, but I would get the internal card to work.)

  Should I have the software for the network controller? If so, what & where I get it? Or a driver for the card Wi - Fi internal? If yes what is it and where to get them?

  Well, I think you mixed with something.
  The LAN card is Realtek but the WLan card comes from Intel!

  So if you wifi card doesn't work I recommend that you download the WLan driver from this page:
  http://195.182.196.33/WLAN/?page=downloads

  Here you choose the Intel PRO/Wireless 3945/4965/5100/5300 driver that should work for sure.

  I have a laptop Satellite A300-1NO, with Win 7 installed. My problem is that my webcam does not work always, when I want to use it. Sometimes, it works perfectly in Skype, WLM etc... but sometimes I see a white or a black screen with a 'loading circle' in there. Blue is the LED light, I can see it in Device Manager too, but there is no picture, just 'loading '. I tried to uninstall the driver and then reinstall it, I installed the new "camera Assistant for Toshiba", without success.

  I put t think there is solution for this. If I understand you right there is a problem with software pre-installed. It is not easy to say why this is happening.

  I have Satellite A300 too and use it with Win7 32 bit. Webcam works fine all the time.

  One more thing: have you noticed this problem in the first moments after installing Win7 or later?
  Have you installed something that may be the reason for this?

  This means that the the webcam driver is not installed correctly.
  Visit the page of European driver of Toshiba and install the software/driver webcam just for this model of laptop.

  If the installation fails, restart the laptop and the tent.
  This should solve the problem.

  Have you installed the drivers of these external USB devices?

  I would like to connect a coard S-video from my laptop on my TV, and when I press FN + F5, I don't get the icons appear along the top of my screen _anymore_.

  Hmm... If the icons don't appear if you press a FN key you must reinstall Toshiba value added package if you use Vista or Windows 7. You can download it on the Toshiba driver download page:

  Value added package controls the FN and enlightenment for example keys in order to check this!

  I was wondering if there was someone out there who could help me...

  I recently bought an A300/V01 and try to use the web camm for it, but whenever I open it on his own (not with msn or any other program), it freezes and will not work, and when I try to send my web cam on msn it tells me that there is no connected webcam.

  Go to the Toshiba website and to update the camera/Webcam driver.

  Also try closing/leave the camera software help.

  You should also install Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1), if it is not installed.

  And to ensure that upgrade to the latest version of MSN Messenger.

  Disconnect all USB devices and go to Device Manager.

  As Akuma writes you can contact a service provider authorized in your country. Guys are able to replace graphic card/motherboard for you.
