Satellite A300D - 214 PSAHCE - overheating and stuttering

Hello world

I am using Toshiba Satellite A300D-214 and I have serious delay problems. I can't play a game properly. I said that I have these questions for the technical department, but they said it's because of the dust.

After 2 hours of cleaning, I encounter the same problems, but they said I have to pay 50 lire (which is almost ~ $ 25) to check if there is a problem in my computer, even if I have the warranty, and if it's graphics card, I have to buy a new graphics card as the warranty has expired.

What can I do to fix this?

Hello

Which driver of video card you are using?
Toshiba GPU driver should be used because this driver supports the thermal protection that protects the GPU from damage.
Use of other drivers can lead to higher heat dissipation and a higher temperature.

    Hi canchn,

The link for the battery you have posted is Satellite A200 and not for A300D. In addition, the references are different.

I put t understand why you buy t the same battery again. I mean that you already have the part number (PA3633U-1BTM) and if you do a Google search for this number, you can find many online stores they listed this battery.

Also an authorized service provider can provide you with original Toshiba spare parts and order the correct battery for you. Do you know how to contact the guys?

  • Satellite A300D - 213 (PSAHCE) - where to find XP drivers?

Install Windows XP on Satellite A300D and discovered, that there is no Pack driver for xp on toshiba support page.

Could someone help me with this problem?

    Hello

Satellite A300D PSAHCE no XP drivers available on the Toshiba page. This means that there is no official support for XP on this model

But I saw that for the other models A300D are XP drivers available I think A300D models look like so I imagine that most of them also works for your model

Your laptop has its Conexant card and therefore a driver is available

By the way: before you install the audio driver, install Service Pack 3 for XP!

  • Satellite A300D - not stop overheating

    Hi all

I'm new on the forum, but unfortunately not new to toshiba disorders.

    I have a satellite A300D - 14 D PSAK8E for 3 years.
I had to take a time for a warranty repair (after 6 months) to change the motherboard. Since then, only the usual problems of overheating and batteries that do not live long.

My brother bought the exact same model, in the same bank, at the same time, and he had to order a new charger. I notice that my laptop starts to spin like crazy fans, as soon as I start it.

This means that, when it is totally cool!
His computer portable twin isn't moaning as mine does.

I did all the stuff. I opened and cleaned, I bought a block of cooling, I empty regularly.
I keep clean on software, just the basics, my antivirus is the avast, cannot play most of the games and keep my personal files on an external HD.

These days, 6 months, my shutsdown of toshiba when executing two simple tasks simultaneously (like open a doc office and chrome). Not always, but most of the time.

At first I thought it was overheating, because as stars fans spinning, but the laptop is pretty cool.

What operating system? It came with Vista, but I changed it to Windows 7.

    Any information would be welcome.
    Thank you!

    Hello

In the past I ve changed several models of Toshiba and two of them were models D (AMD) and I have to say that exactly on these models of cooling fan was always a little stronger and fan worked more often. Now, I have A300 with preinstalled Win7 32 bit and it works perfectly. A30/A300D are fully supported for Win7 so the described behavior has nothing to do with the preinstalled OS.
    > I noticed that my laptop starts to spin like crazy fans, as soon as I start it. This means that, when it is totally cool!
That s nothing unusual and that occur on most laptops including my P500. Computer startup laptop accelerated cooling fan works at maximum and when Toshiba welcome screen is displayed, it slows down. That of normal and don t worry not about this.

To be honest, it is not easy to say why your laptop stops. Make sure that the laptop is placed on the desk and the cooling fan is not blocked. Clear also all unnecessary background processes to keep the pressure on the CPU.

Sorry, but I cannot say more than that.

  • Satellite Pro A60 - is overheating and shuts

    Hello

I have a problem with my A60. I start and everything goes OK. I put in a temporary monitoring software because it works for awhile and then just stop. What I see happening now, is that it will heat up to 65 then the fan comes on and at 55 it stops. This can happen a few times, and then he forgets turn on the fan. After that he climbs slowly until she happens to 85 when he cuts. I bought a stand 3 fans and now it stays on as long as when it goes on the fan circuit anointed, gets it to 77-80 and stays on. The problem is if I USE then overheating and stop again.

What control actually (and fails to start) the fan cut in the process. This part of the function of the BIOS? Updated BIOS ver 1.7 to ver 1.9 will make a difference? I'm afraid that this update will not end before overhearting and I'll be left with an unusable machine.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you.

    >.. .a finds a way to fix it properly.
This type of hardware components are not fixed but replaced so if you think that the cooling fan is defective exchange it.

One more thing, the vacuum cleaner is OK, but you can't wait to clean up your laptop to look like new. I disassembled my Satellite M70 and was surprised how much dust was inside.
Just after the withdrawal of the ventilation openings, I was able to clean it properly.

    Hello

    > graphic driver cannot initialize, keyboard is not working and touchpad is froozen. In this situation, I can use external USB mouse and keyboard, Internet (WLAN, LAN), Sound.
For me, it sounds like that just internal peripheral input (keyboard and touchpad) don t work more and they need to be replaced.
What do you think about this?

You can contact your authorized service provider. They can exchange the two parts for you.
    Check this box!

Regarding your display driver problem, you must update the driver and install the latest version of the BIOS.

  • Satellite L350D-213 repeated overheating and shuts down

    Hello

Recently had problems with my Toshiba laptop Satellite L350D-213 of the he repeated overheating and if off, any suggestions as to prevent overheating would be greatly appreciated

    Hello

There is a lot of advice about the overheating problem.
First the laptop stops automatically to avoid that the pieces of equipment from damage, the higher temperature may affect parts and this is the reason why the laptop stops.

Why the temperature is too high?
Well, maybe the cooling modules does not t run with the best performance because of the dust and debris inside the modules?
It is mainly the reason why fans do not twist and cannot cool the laptop.

I recommend to check this and remove dust and debris from cooling vents using a jet of compressed air.

I do from time to time, and it helps to clean the fans

  • Satellite A505-S6973 is overheating and the fan runs often

I hate doing this, but it seems to me have encountered another problem that I was responsible for research and reading hoping to correct me. I currently own a Satellite series laptop PC with an Intel Cor 2 Duo T6500 processor 2.1Ghz.

I followed my system for performance issues andi who have noticed for some time (not sure when) has significantly increased the temperature on my system. I'm seeing from my PC Health Monitor my processors running at 59% temperature and fan speed is at 78% and yet when I place my hand near the cooling fins on the side of my laptop, I can barely feel any breeze, but a colleague of mine has a vostro and fan feels like it will run on amendments.

If there is nothing that can be done, I would be very happy, I'm afraid of losing my system because of something simple that cause overheating.

NB. I noticed that at the same time different users posted threads indicating that after updating he BIOS they have known overheating problems. If this is the cause of anywhere near it please help.

    Hello

    Just a question;
    The unit automatically shut?

If this is not the case then you cannot talk about overheating only because the temperature has risen to a higher level.
The temperature of the laptop up and down and it depends on the use of the laptop.
The cooling fans would go faster too if the temperature would be going upward.

It's not unusual and it s a common behavior of mobile.

As I said; the laptop would be down automatically stops if the temperature would be too high! If this isn't the case, then you should not be worried about the temperature.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite A300D-13Y - extreme overheating issues?

    Hello world

    I have a Toshiba A300D Y13 Satellity system since mid-2008.
This is the AMD platform with the graphics card of Turion 64 X 2 TL - 60 & ATI Radeon HD 3650. Recently, he began to fade. First the system began to slown down extremely after awhile which was in early 2010. And now the system begins to shut down within 2 minutes then in the game (same counter strike 1.6 it kills).

I started to wonder what was going on so I installed GPU. Z and Core Temp on my system and I saw that the CPU would run on 62 ° C in "idle" mode and the graphics card at 60 ° C. While in game Core temp would climb to more than 78 ° C and 75 ° C graphics card. So I decided to clean up the dust system, as it has been described in this forum. To my surprise he wasn't still so much dust in there it was almost nothing. But nevertheless the base temperature is now the graphics card to 46 ° C and 43 ° C in idle. But always as soon as I start a game or even flash the base temperature program and the graphics card temp totalled more than 78 ° C and the laptop continues to close immediately. Since it was still overheating, I thought that maybe the system is too low (because it sucks air from the bottom and there are less than 1 cm of space between the desktop and the laptop). I joined to 4 small foam pit with some adhesive tape to it to increase it a little.

Well idle temp of the kernel sunk to 41 ° C and 42 ° C for the graphics card. He now runs a little longer in games or so flash watchig, but it still turns off because it is still overheating. I wonder if anyone knows what the problem could be that the system is still overheating.

    Thanks in advance

  • Satellite A300D-17F is slow and freezes

    I am new user to this page, but I bought my laptop 5 months ago. A300D 17F. And since then, it is not productive. I would like to say something;

    1. Although I deleted the program Toshiba tempro and other unnecessary programs, that it is opening about 1.5 minutes and also I closed the substantive prg.
    2. the biggest problem is that Windows Explorer is so slow. it freezes when I want to search for some files.
    3. when I surf on a site like youtube video, if I move the mouse anywhere on the screen, it is cold again
    4. why the 4 GB of RAM works so slow?
    5. do I have a hardware problem? Because I had done recovery for some time!
    6. while other laptops have poor performance make a little game, mine is not.

I am so angry for another problem. How can I connect to the online of the Toshiba support because I don't yet?

I am grateful for the moment. PLEASE HELP THE MASTERS

You have this problem only if you remove Toshiba TEMPRO and other applications or directly after recovery too?

It's not easy to tell if it s a hardware or software problem, but you can check your drive HARD and RAM using Drive Fitness Test and Memtest86 (Google is your friend).

Sorry, but at the moment I can t say more and I think that the reason is the reason why you remove some programs that they are in factory settings include.

    Hey Buddy,

Can you do a little test please?
Remove the battery and try to start your laptop with AC adapter only.

If your computer starts correctly it s just a malfunction of the battery, or AC adapter is affected. Of course, it could be mainboard itself too, but swap the battery or an AC adapter / CC should be the first step and is not that expensive.
