Satellite A300D - HDMI card but not HDMI port

My Satellite A300D - 13G get an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 series video card which allows to manage a digital DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort video output, but I don't have HDMI (or DVI or DP) port on my laptop.

It is possible to add this digital video output port?

You can add it as a external display only. Google around a bit and pick up some information about this.

According to the specifications of the laptop our laptop has 1 expresscard slot, in order to check in google if you can find a few HDMI to expresscard adapter.

I tried different TV but still nothing.
Also there is no HDMI in under the control panel Device Manager, should there be?

Thank you very much for any help or advice.

    Hello
I put t know what Windows system that you use on this laptop, but the driver HDMI isn't available from the HDMI port driver is part of the system and should be recognized automatically.

Capacity Audio HDMI you need to install the right audio driver and should allow this in Control Panel-> sound-> playback device

HDMI (digital out) would be not listed there, right click and choose:
Show devices disabled, view hidden devices.

Usually the HDMI connection isn t very delicate. Everything should run automatically.
Connect both devices with a HDMI cable.
Turn on the TV, then the computer.
Now, use the exit function FN (key) video combination in order to get to the video (HDMI).

  • Re: Satellite A300D - S-Video does not work

    Hello

I got my Satellite A300D for a little while now and he likes most aspects of it. The only thing that I'm not a big fan of, is that my S-Video works at all.

I tried FN + F5, and when I do that it doesn't do anything. When I return to FN + F5 to check if it happened, it's back to the LCD screen. I tried all the functions FN + F5, and I also tried "to connect to the external monitor" through the control panel option. I also tried restarting the laptop, turn it off, start it back up, install a driver catalyst mod, everything I could think of, but it's not going to work.

Any help would be * EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY appreciated! *

    Please help, thanks!

    Hi guys

The use of the s-video ports is very easy.
First of all that the TV and the laptop must be turned off.
Then you have to connect both devices with an s-video cable compatible.

Note: The BIOS, please check if the right settings were selected. PAL for Europe; NTSC for North America.

Also, make sure that you use the s-video cable to the right. With the help of cable is not compatible with the allocation of the wrong pins will create a black and white picture on TV!

  • Re: Satellite A300D - Bluetooth Stack can not find a service

    Hello!
I have the Satellite A300D with Windows 7 and battery Bluetooth Toshiba (ver. 7.00.10)
I want to connect my mobile phone to laptop via bluetooth. I tried to add a new connection in the Bluetooth stack. BS found my phone, but cannot connect to. BS showed an error message 'Cannot find a service' (I have a Russian version of Bluetooth Stack, so I have to translate the message). And I don't know what service is not running, BS don't give any additional information.

Please, advise me what can I do to solve my problem.

I think you must turn on the bluetooth feature in Administrative Tools-Services:

Have you tried to calibrate the battery?
Discharge the battery completely (Note: disable the standby and hibernation in order to prevent Notepad to enter these modes automatically).
Then load it again reappear several times in the line

If that doesn't do it, try a new battery

  • Satellite A300D is runnig but the screen remains black

    Hello!

I have a big problem with my Satellite A300D.

This morning I forgot to connect my laptop to the net elec, and so my battery drains.
When I reconnected and restarted my laptop I could see the Toshiba and splash screens of Windows, but after these the laptop screen becomes black.

You can see the cursor, but the rest disappeared.
    The screen is all black.

Strangely, when I press ctrl + alt + delete, the vista opens again, and I can select and view the Task Manager.

    What should I do!

    Hello

There is a solution that could help bring back the screen.
in Notepad, remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter.
Wait about 30 minutes and reconnect the two parts.
Then try again to put the laptop.

In many cases, this procedure helped to set something like this.

    Good luck

  • Satellite M200 Flash card does not work?

My new laptop Toshiba M200 (works on Vista) continues to display an error message that my Flash card does not work and that the system is looking for solutions.

Other threads in this forum, I understand it could be a driver problem, but there seems to be no suitable driver available for download for my M200 model.

    Who can help me?

    Thank you

    Hello

When you reference the Flash card, I assume you mean the utility toshiba Flash Cards. in this case, I would say that you reinstall (i.e., uninstall and then reinstall) relevant Toshiba Value added Package for your laptop model. to locate the relevant Toshiba VAP, visit your regional toshiba driver. This should solve your problem, such as cards Flash requires the installation of files for your Fn + F keys (for example by pressing Fn + F6/F7 fades and lights up the screen), so I think that Vista is looking for solutions as the Fn keys could be involved. After installation, you can disable the startup Flash cards when the computer starts up, but do not uninstall the toshiba VAP.

    This should help your question

  • Recognized SD card but not visible

When I insert an SD card into the reader, the card is recognized, but not visible in Windows Explorer or another program. In the hardware menu information, the SD card reader works properly.

No idea how to solve this problem?

    Kind regards

What cell phone do you have?
What SD card do you use the SD card reader?

Look in your user manual if your SD card will be supported and check from Toshiba Web site for an update of the BIOS.

    > Card is always detected in windows.
    Does that mean exactly?
WLan is listed in Device Manager?
And if SO, have you tried reinstalling the WLan driver again?

If you tried that, do it!
Uninstall the Wlan driver (in Device Manager), download the latest driver WLan driver Toshiba page, install the driver, reboot the laptop and try to set up the connection.

  • Satellite A200 - 23K - card SDHC not recognized on Windows 7

    Hello, I have a toshiba satellite A200 - 23K.
I just installed Windows 7, all drivers support drivers toshiba and all the updates of microsoft windows, including the suport of 32 GB SD flash cards memory.
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com

But in the Device Manager there is a witch of the element named "mass storage controller" has not been installed (which would be the SD card reader), but I didn't know any driver for "Texas Instruments PCIxx12 Integrated FlashMedia Controller" and installed the VISTA driver instead. Now, the look of the device is fine in Device Manager, but he only read a normal SD card, and when I insert a SDHC 4GB it came to nothing. In windows XP / vista and linux (fedora / ubuntu) there is no problem with SDHC (4GB and 8 GB Kingmax SDHC class 6).

I would very much apreciate in advance if someone will make a driver for the card reader (I use it pretty mutch for photos).

    Hey Buddy,

I think the problem is the Vista driver expired that doesn t work 100% correctly on Windows 7

As much as I know Satellite A300, which supports Windows 7, is also equipped with Texas Instruments card reader, or at least the pilot is also from the same company with respect to the Satellite A200.

In your case, I would try this driver, I hope it works! :)

  • Satellite L500 - video card do not calibrate

Hello, I have a portable Satellite L500, who now works on Windows 7
My problem is that the screen is not calibrate.

My screen has a thick black line on the right and a little on top.
The bottom bar is hidden on the screen and I can't get the black areas with the mouse.

I tried to update the drivers, the resolution setting, reset the video card settings, but nothing helped.

    Any ideas?

    Stand by.
I assume that you have installed the Win7 clean version, right?
After the installation of clean operating system, you should be able to see all of the office without a few black lines. According to my Win7 experience has no problem with graphics cards and especially the native resolution is set by default.
What you need to do is to install the right chipset driver, driver SATA and, of course, display driver available on the Toshiba download page.

Can you please tell us which model of laptop you have exactly (L500-xxx)?

  • Satellite A300D-11 t - can not get external Wlan Realtek 8187b at work

    Hello.

    I have the laptop A300D-11 t and I have a problem.

The place I work is in a cellar. I have not any wi - fi there and I decided to buy a USB wireless, and a 5 m usb extension.
I tried this on my colleague (not toshiba) laptop and it works. He has not worked for me.

I realized later that the chipset of the usb stick wireless realtek 8187B, identical to my laptop.
I think there must be a conflict between the two devices and their drivers.

Even with build-in WiFi disabled, I can't yet do the wireless to work. Ideas, any help would be appreciated...

    Hello

Have you checked if the external USB WLAN key has been recognized in the Device Manager?
    Please check this box.
You can also disable the internal WLan card in Device Manager as well.
The internal Wlan card is listed in the network adapters. Mark the Wlan card and ckicl to disable peripheral (sign with a crossed red circle).

Please note; In many cases the software/driver must be installed before you plug the key into the USB port.
See the installation instructions supplied with the WLAN key

  • Re: Satellite U400 - LAN card are not not in Device Manager

    Hello

I never used to connect to the local network via an ethernet cable on my laptop because I aways used a wireless connection.

Today I plugged in the ethernet cable and windows were not detected. And when I open the login window, there is only PAN connection bluetooth and Wi - Fi
    ([see photo | http://img15.imageshack.us/i/digitalizovaq.jpg/])

So, I thought that the pilot was missing. Then I reinstalled the drivers from the website of Toshiba for LAN. drivers do not have helped me.
When I look in Device Manager, I can not find my LAN card. It does not appear there. Only bluetooth PAN network card and wireless network card.
    ([see photo | http://img18.imageshack.us/i/digitalizova.jpg/])

    Any ideas how to fix?

    Hello!

I don't know m but on some BIOS you can enable/disable the network adapter. Did you check that?
In addition I recommend you load the default settings in the BIOS. Maybe it works.

And have you ever tried a BIOS update? You can find it on the Toshiba site.

In the worst case, it s a hardware malfunction of the NIC or motherboard and must be replaced :(

  • Satellite P200 - SD card reader not working not not running Win 8

I upgraded my satellite P200 with windows 8, and the SD card reader does not work.

    Anyone know of a fix.

It is always problematic for everything works fine when the old notebook use not supported and the more recent operating system.

P200 works perfectly with Win7, so what you can try is to use Win7 driver. I put t know if you have tested already. In any case, if the laptop works well in general I think you can live without SD card reader.

  • Satellite C660D - flash cards are not displayed on the screen

    Hello
I bought a Toshiba Satellite C660D a month ago. Everything was fine, until the FN button is no longer displayed the OSD menu.
I looked on the forums and there were various tips on very similar issues. I downloaded the package of value added once again, I looked in the settings of flash card and nothing does the trick. Could someone help me?

    Any advice would be welcome.

(ps, job functions, but the screen shows no more).

What you can do is to call the Toshiba s hotline and ask for help.

In any case, I think they can tell you the same thing: you can try to reinstall VAP or flash cards utility of support or reinstall OS using HARD drive recovery facility. With the settings, it works well again.
